I don't understand why some people are saying it will be just as big a story if they stay away...they are on the fringes of royal life now so who really cares?
To me them staying away is mostly a non story, whereas if they come there will be every detail of their attendance to dissect.

No. But while there will be very little if any public appetite for his appearance the arrogant oaf won't let it stop him and as he now has his family conniving in his public rehab I wouldn't be at all surprised to see him in a fairly prominent seat.

@Blip they may no longer be tax-funded royals but the majority of coverage around any big royal event is centred around them.
