Oh Harry !

notanotheroneagain · 14/03/2023 17:19

Are we supposed to retort with "His Royal Prince of Pegging and his Rose" or something like that?
What is this?

No, I did not see any thrashing at all of W&C. A frustration of how they were being negatively briefed against H&M and them believing the lies from staff, yes.

Ah, yes, his brother briefing about him ‘daily’.
I most certainly remember him saying it.
But where was the proof? Or even a solitary example?

Harrys just confused, as he accused his brother of simultaneously briefing the media, and then also of ‘believing’ the media over the bullying claims.

Which was it?

Such liars that the particularly litigious pair never sued against the bullying claims, says it all. The staff are not liars they are victims of bullying from Meghan and Harry.

LadyVictoriaSponge · 14/03/2023 17:52

Remind me, who is Meghan’s besties? Oh yes Ellen DeGeneras another known bully of staff, Jessica Mulroney, online bully, all women in power who have bullied women ‘beneath’ them.

LadyEloise1 · 14/03/2023 18:01

@Housewife2010 "Goodness me so H&M "did not trash the Royal Family"🤣
I'd hate to see what happens if they do decide to trash them in one of their next books."

Me too !

ShamedBySiri · 14/03/2023 18:28

How could Meghan ever possibly be the Queen Mother? The only possible way she could ever have that title is if Charles, William and William's children all died, Harry became King and then died before Meghan. Only then would Meghan become the Queen Mother.

You forgot Archie. He has to go too in order for Lily to be Queen and M to be Queen Mother.

The Queen Mother was given her title as she was Queen Elizabeth but when The Queen Elizabeth II ascended the throne that would have meant there were two Queens Elizabeth. So she was given another title.

Queen Mary remained Queen Mary after she was widowed and first King Edward VII and the King George VI ascended the throne. I've never heard of a King Mother.

Oh Harry !

I am but a fool
Darling i love you
Though you treat me cruel
You hurt me
And you make me cry
But if you leave me
I will surely die

wow. wonder what your kids names are? mumsnet should be called snobsnet.

I’m not a snob, they are just terrible names. Tracey and Dave would actually be 1000 times nicer. I still cannot believe they called the girl Lilibet, it’s the worst ever.

It's a new dawn and a new day
and I'm feelin' good...

Badger1970 · 14/03/2023 19:43

What I don't understand is that Harry always knew that his father would take the throne at some point, so why name his children something so informal when their titles would one day be Prince and Princess? Lilibet doesn't even slip off the tongue easily, it's an awkward name at best... I can't imagine she's going to thank them for it in years to come.

It's been rumoured for years that the Cambridge children are called other names behind closed doors.

vera99 · 14/03/2023 19:54

Surely choosing names for your children is highly personal and unless it's some batshit crazy name then every name is good. It was good enough as the affectionate name for HMTLQ (now used on the ultra royalist British Royal Family Reddit as the acronym for QE2) after all.

Lilibet IS batshit crazy for a given name. Lilibet is a nickname based on a child’s mispronunciation of her own name, which is a common for family nicknames. You might notice there hasn’t been a massive rise in the number of Lilibets, because people generally do not like it as a name.

vera99 · 14/03/2023 20:19

Why should they care - they love it and I think you are overplaying your hand deeming it batshit crazy.

Exactly Harry almost certainly knew knew (even I know) that any children of his would only become a prince or princess once Charles became King re the George V 1917 Letters Patent, unless QEII issued new letters patent.

To intimate that Archie wasn't getting a title because of his black ancestry was disingenuous & inflammatory.

I think toys were hurled out the pram because H led M to believe or even promised M that Granny would issue letters patent to allow Archie to be a prince as soon as he was born like George, Charlotte & Louis were prince/princess from the start.

I also thought maybe QEII would issue new letters patent to allow this as then it would be treating both William's & Harry's children fairly from the start.
Sometimes I forget that it's not just a family it's also a firm that's got set in its ways.
I think QEII was badly advised (though I know the reasoning behind her new letters patent to avoid the heir in line to the throne if C & W's first born had been Charlotte, just being titled Lady whilst her younger brother (George) would be titled Prince even though Charlotte would be the heir to the throne due to being the firstborn.

All this Archie's been left out business could have been avoided if one of the suits had said 'Ma'am I don't think the optics will look good as it will seem that you are favouring William's children over Harry's children'
Or maybe QEII did want to be fair from the start but was talked out of it.

Although I understand Harry being cross about it, I think he thought that he could make Granny change her mind & then thought shit I've told Meg that Archie will be a prince but not from the day he was born like I promised.
Then Meg got cross because Harry once again didn't let her know how it worked.

Thats just my opinion. However because I'm a nosey bitch very curious & interested person I'd make sure I knew all the in & outs & peculiar quirks of joining the royal family.
Its not just a family you are marrying into but a job.

Mollie and Polly used to be nicknames we ,but they are name,s in their own right now
why do you care ?
It's their daughter they can call.her what they want

mixedrecycling · 14/03/2023 20:33

But why did it matter to H&M that Archie would be a Prince from birth (or afterwards)? When it was such a poisoned chalice for Harry? When they have made it clear how damaging they see the institution?

Molly and Polly are nice sounds though. Lilibet isn’t. It’s awkward to say and doesn’t roll off the tongue. Of course it’s their choice, but it’s a cynical choice made on the basis of the resonance of the name not the name itself. I don’t care, I just think it’s an awful name 🤷‍♀️

My dear late mum was called Edna - a name I obviously love, but she hated it even more so when Evil Edna was a cartoon character. My dear dad also had Newby Wilson as his middle names. Times change and fashion with it.

What hand??? I think it is batshit crazy. Why have you attached those lists? Lilibet isn’t on there. Lily is not lilibet and lily has been a popular name for years now. If they called her lily that would have been understandable and apparently even they call her lili at home, so why even bother with lilibet 🤣🤣🤣

vera99 · 14/03/2023 20:51

The lists were to see what is fashionable at the moment. I had no idea Olivia is hot - it was very old-fashioned when I was growing up. Gonna be confusing when the class of 2030 is being addressed ! The UK no 1 for boys is Noah and Liam in the US.

Olivia has been number one or two for 16 years, in England and Wales. Top 10 since 1999. Naming trends are also quite different outside the top 10 in the UK and USA, though there is some crossover.

Archie Harrison is actually very 'on trend' for England and Wales (not excluding Scotland and N. Ireland, but they have their own rankings/trends).

What's going to be confusing?

Of course ,and peoop!e have their own preferences too personally I like traditional names ,and I prefer full names and using a shortened name for every day use but that's just me ,shortened names have become names in their own right ,my mum is nearly 81 her name on her birth certificate is Kathryn ,but she's been known as Kay her whole life ,it's a name in its own right now .
