If I had to guess what is going through Charles’ mind … he has always indicated he favours a reformed and slimmed-down monarchy so if Andrew expects anything else he is even more of fool than he seems.

Furthermore Charles knows him - really knows him. If you thought your pathetic, odious little brother had been doinking a 17 year old in shady circumstances, wouldn’t you feel utterly disgusted and ashamed to be associated with him? Especially if your ageing mum obliged you to cooperate with the whole “well he’s family, we stick by him” routine. I’d be wanting to send a message loud and clear: I don’t approve, I don’t stick by him.

As for Andrew, I would like to see him on his uppers, living in penury and shame. Some fit punishment for a crime I think it’s quite clear he knowingly participated in. Trafficking young girls? Ugh. Even more sickening when you consider he has daughters of his own.

BillLius · 20/02/2023 09:04

Be careful if he ends up as an Uber driver. Don’t let him anywhere near your front gates.

ToffeeNotCoffee · 20/02/2023 09:22

@BillLius

What about the £7million town house she bought in Mayfair last year? They can both sod off there if they want to carry on living together.

Yes.

Fergie has allegedly been on the brink of bankruptcy more times than I can count yet always escapes with a bound. She's the grifter's grifter and it's worth remembering that Epstein had more numbers for her than even for Andrew listed in his little black book.

Ad for those citing the sale of the ski shack as the source of funds. That was mired in much financial controversy delaying the sale and it's only very recently finally gone through. Fergie and assorted hangers-on sons in law were using it as recently as this time last year.

Fergie’s money woes are, presumably, why she can’t sell without her daughter’s permission. It’s probably in a trust to keep it away from any potential creditors.

@Monzeitia I don't think you need to worry about your intelligence.

Here is a family glorified by their adoring public making them believe that they actually have some relevance in the modern age. Living it up in palaces but making their incredibly thick public believe they are downsizing it actually makes you laugh that people can believe this rubbish. They go round wearing their crowns with stolen jewels but that is ok because they were only stolen from non whites so we don't need to worry.

They might be an institution but they are still a family so if you were being dictated to by an older brother warning you against marrying the person you love I'm sure most of us would tell him to get stuffed. Good old Harry was ok when he was the third wheel but now he has a life and family of his own W and K know control is slipping away from them. Whatever we may think of Meghan she has more intelligence than the rest of them put together and that made them insecure.

Talk of a slimmed down monarchy it can't get any smaller W and K will have to start wheeling the 3 children out a lot sooner now that Harry isn't at their disposal. I wonder what will happen when one of his own doesn't adhere to the protocol of who they should be marrying?

Aww, don't call yourself thick. It's not good for your mental health.

Because you label everyone who thinks differently from you as thick? No. That's just lazy writing. But when you include yourself in that, as you do, that's a bit sad.

#gutted 😔

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/02/2023 15:36

Furthermore Charles knows him - really knows him

No doubt, but that works the other way too - which is why I said (if there's any truth in this at all) that Charles could be taking a risk in upsetting his brother

The reality is the RF own/rent a lot of property - far more than necessary.

Indeed. 27 at the last count. Here's a picture showing where some of them are. Estates, Palaces, Castles and the odd cottage. Map doesn't show the ones in NI.

Some of these places are massive and I think they should be given back to the public...
What family needs 120 room Mansion for instance? (Edward & Sophie rattling around in there).
It's all a bit obscene.

Cue Royalists coming on and saying... what should we do then, let them go to rack and ruin? No. There would be plenty of ways they could be put to good use, to make money and give back, to help others, to allow the public to see inside them, etc.

I honestly don't think anyone bar a few Russians and obviously not even them nowadays would be interested in buying any huge house like those. Obviously some of the more famous ones like Windsor would be of enormous interest, but where Edward lives? No one would care. In reality what could you really do with enormous houses that cost a fortune to run and maintain, times have changed massively.

Pureradio · 20/02/2023 17:02

Even the National Trust struggle to raise funds to buy very famous places, was it Tynesgate? Somewhere like that in Somerset? Had to try and raise millions to save it

Crumpetdisappointment · 20/02/2023 17:04

i dont think he needs to leave money for his 2 daughters,

They get converted into apartments. I know someone who lives in an apartment in a former stately home. They pay a service charge for upkeep of the extensive grounds and repairs. She loves it. They have masses of garden and grass just outside their door and no gardening to do.

MarshaMelrose · 20/02/2023 18:40

Some of them you can visit. I've been to a few. They're no different to other stately homes where part of it is private for the owner. I'd love to go into St James, and Clarence House was having restoration works last time we were there so we couldn't go.

There's no Castle of Mey on that map but it's royal too. Although it's in a trust. It's really lovely.

The monarch also owns Hampton Court which isn't on the map either. They have apartments to lease. There was a big hoo haa when I was there because one resident had stolen another's electricity! As it became royal because Henry visited stole it, I'd say electricity theft is in perfect keeping with the place. Its my favourite by a mile out of the ones I've been to.

Monzeitia · 20/02/2023 22:05

you are too invest with that very long post, I pass reading all that, boring stuff, bringing the “white people stolen the jewellery” sorry I wasn’t born at that time to make a comment

Everyone is entitled to defend themselves. It's a basic tenet of UK law. Lawyers don't work for free - someone has to pay them. His accuser could have faced him in court if she wanted to. She preferred to take the money.

I don't see why TQ, PA, VG or the lawyers have behaved disgracefully. They all just followed the law.

I can't believe you wrote that.

His accuser would only have faced him in court if the queen had stopped paying his lawyers to keep him from doing so. But she kept on paying, because her family's reputation was more important to her than justice.

He and his mother showed their utter contempt for the law and for victims of sex trafficking in their machinations.

And then the UK fell over itself grieving for the loss of this woman.

Monzeitia · 24/02/2023 08:03

Sorry to say but we are not shutting our mouths about Harry and Meghan, we are actually laughing at them, they have properly fuck up with their plans to have the half in half out deal that they so desperate wanted, you know the link to the monarchy that you fans hate so much, oh the hypocrisy, even a cartoon episode reflects this so well, epic 😂😂
