I don't think it's the people you mention who are "Trying to denigrate H&M." That would be the writers of 'South Park'. 3 years after the great finding of freedom and the obsession with the 'British media' is ongoing. Never mind that through their own actions, the Harkles have become a literal joke in America.

The South Park episode denigrates M&H. These commentators don't have to try at all. They could report on it completely straight faced and soberly, and it would still denigrate them.

As you think South Park hasn't got it right on H&M, and find the animation unrealistic WRT looking into the Wife's mouth; do you think, by contrast, that the William episode is right, and do you think someone literally had their arm ripped off and used for a sex act on William?

It would be extraordinarily exciting to learn after 25 years that South Park was actually created by the Royal Family. People though they needed to modernize, turns out they have been ahead of the game for a quarter of a century.

Even if the satire aimed at the two couples were of a similar nature, which it isn't, it's not going to affect them in the same way. Barring some major upheaval, William and Kate will be king and queen regardless of what American comedians think of them. They can afford to be laughed at now and again. It goes with the job.

Very good point. W&K aren't going to care, it won't affect them becoming King and Queen. M&H seem to want to be Hollywood royalty, and it's really not going well for them.

Could you answer my other question, though? I'll reframe it. Is the South Park William & Kate episode correct in your view- by which I mean, it has the main ingredients of accuracy, albeit it that fact has been satirised? If it is correct in your mind, do you also accept that the H&M episode is equally correct? If not, why not, when it's the same writers with the same disdain for all members of the RF?

I'll throw that out to anyone crowing about the old William & Kate episode. If you are happy with that one, why aren't you happy with the Harry and Meghan episode?

I worked with a team of all guys on a project where we sat in a conference room for 6 months and often worked excessive hours.

This was how they "fixed" the flaws in one another. They mercilessly made fun of the parts that needed to change. It worked pretty well. Paul stopped wearing the stone washed jeans. I stopped talking too much. We could laugh at ourselves and admit there was truth in it.

If H&M can laugh at this, take note and change the parts that annoy others, they will be just fine in America. It wouldn't have come to this if they had listened to anyone else around them.

It's just like Trump's hair - that wouldn't have happened either if he had people that were able to tell him the truth.
