I keep hearing this rumour and I'm just curious to know where it comes from? Where is the evidence?

If it is true, it's clear there's been an agreement with the uk papers not to publish it which is really Harry's point

@StClare101 I am curious as to how or why these tabloids spread these sort of lies? And then they repeat it several times. I’d have thought that their target audience would notice. So it seems that only the tabloids abroad are the ones writing about it and then others are convinced that that there is a gag order because it’s been reported abroad, missing the fact that it’s only the tabloids doing it. I wonder if the speculators will ever stop?

But I guess it helps some people to read and click the tabloids when there are false and unsavory headlines because it’s just a little bit of “gossip.” I’d hate to be a public figure or a celebrity because it seems like they’re just considered fair game and not considered as human beings, without any consideration for the subject of the salacious rumours and their mental health and well-being and those around them.

I agree that it must be sad to live with these kinds of rumours. I don’t think anyone will ever know and even if the subjects of the rumours themselves publicly try to clear their name, you’ll still have someone writing or saying “my sister’s friend” said xyz and she/he is a blah blah so it must be true. I guess that is the price of fame and fortune.

Also, now with the popularity of countless social media platforms, there will also always be the interpreting and misunderstanding body language and people sharing “stories” some of which may be true and others may not be. Then you’d have to sift through the false lies to get to more truthful stories. But whether it’s true or not, it’s been shared and commented on by a countless number of people online and it will stay there on the Internet.

This is some totally unfounded malicious gossip that folks keep trying to get out there that is patent nonsense.

What did he say about it?

The Royal Family is an organisation or institution first, and family second. In the same vein, marriages in it are like new business partnerships within it - legal entities first and marriages as we would think about them second.

Therefore I don’t think one can apply simple family norms to it such as ‘cheating is bad’ and ‘poor wife’ etc - these relationships just aren’t comparable to a bog standard marriage.

There’s a weird tendency by some to view this family as if they’re an archetype of ‘the perfect family’ and a need to believe K and W have a fairytale marriage within it. I don’t know if they do or don’t, but also think it’s entirely irrelevant to anything - they’re not there to be in love, they’re there to fulfil a function (arguably a decreasingly important one).

It's only the British press who are gagged about this. It was all over the press in the rest of the western world
