I keep hearing this rumour and I'm just curious to know where it comes from? Where is the evidence?

@SlaveToTheVibe - no proof Pippa's baby is called Rose? Lies spread by the Palace?
Well it would be a foolish thing to lie about a child's name as birth certificates are on public record.
Accordingly, Pippa's children are called Arthur, Grace and Rose.
Unless you have evidence to the contrary?

Icantakemyselfdancing · 21/01/2023 08:14

I think the affair happened.

The naming of baby Rose was probably done as it’s a beautiful name and for the very reason of hoping the public would agreed a sister would not choose that name if an affair had happened - to put the public off the scent !

Kate and her family seem very close and they all worked very hard for the royal marriage to happen. They are not prepared to lose it all at this stage. There are children at risk and now they are only one level down from the crown.

Maireas · 21/01/2023 08:17

How are the children at risk?
How does it threaten William and the Crown?

vera99 · 21/01/2023 08:20

Maireas · 21/01/2023 08:05

Yes, @vera99 , but he's not part of the clergy, nor will he make ecclesiastical decisions. As a Christian organisation, the C of E acknowledges human frailty and the importance of forgiveness. Charles is head of the C of E which seems to be fine.
The point is that no-one knows for sure about the alleged affair, but some are obviously using it to damage William and also Kate.

That's a typical hand wringing, more in sorrow than in anger, CofE fudge and let's not forget the hand maiden to this organisation was the monstrous venality of Henry 8th and his desire to free himself from the authority of the Pope. The reason it doesn't happen I would guess is the supposed mystical / spiritual nature of the relationship between the monarchy and the Church ( the anointing oil in the Coronation ceremony comes to mind in which during the 1953 Coronation was forbidden to be filmed!) and to admit that the substance of the whole ramshackle edifice is a lot of hokum , pomp and circumstance ! Looks good though. Other symbolism is the coffin is carried on an actual gun carriage as a potent symbol of the armed might of the monarch even in death.

I'm getting the vibes if Jesus was to actually return there would be a fair few tables overthrown in his father's house !

DPs friend was part of their security service and he as 100% confirmed this to be true

It's credible that the friend, who must be in the police service - would happily gossip to your Dp and break his employment confidentiality clauses. Clearly your Dp is such a good friend he felt it was worth it to risk his service and pension.

theworldhas · 21/01/2023 08:21

Harry is a fascinating example of cognitive dissonance - he clearly dislikes just about everything about monarchy - yet is still an ardent monarchist. He’s a bit like those Brexiters who will forever defend Brexit as the right decision despite all outside evidence to the contrary, forever claiming it’s just the details that are wrong and if only we fixed X,Y,Z (which are inherently unfixable) it would all work perfectly.

JinglingSpringbells · 21/01/2023 08:23

It's a myth, lie, call it what you want.

Some people are so gullible they fall for anything in the media.

You've only go to look at the photos of them both, going back years, to see they are really in love and dote on each other.

Given the fallout after Diana and Charles for their kids, William would be an utter fool to have an affair.

He hasn't and the sooner posters like @ttcstop stop posting this crap the better.

Cath667 · 21/01/2023 08:23

Some of the claims on this thread are so preposterous that I'm laughing out loud. Thanks for cheering me up.

GratingApples · 21/01/2023 08:23

Where is the evidence?

@ttcstop , what kind of evidence are you after?

If Harry has evidence, let's say photos and publishes them, William's popularity may drop but Harry would never be forgiven by the public and other celebrities either, everyone hates a telltale. The aristo set stick together and this would cause Rose H and her family huge issues too. Perhaps Meghan will reveal everything (if there is anything to reveal) and relish sticking the knife and twisting it, she strikes me as someone who'd love that.

If they just claim it without evidence, it's easily deniable. Any which way, Harry is a bastard for coming after his family in this way, on a path of revenge, their poor children, will be soaking up all that toxic energy. Sad.

Exactly.

Anyone who is or was in security for the Royals is not allowed to discuss it.

@vera99
I know, I've been teaching History for 40 years. I'm not C of E, nor defending it nor the monarchy. I'm just making the point that even if William had an affair, it's no barrier to him becoming monarch. Or head of the C of E.

theworldhas · 21/01/2023 08:25

And the tabloid press all know and have him by the balls

Yep, that’s how they work - sake with politicians to keep them in line. And of course not just the press, but the services know everyone’s skeletons in the closet too. That was one of the many reasons they all hated Corbyn, his personal life was mundane and “clean” and couldn’t be bought off with with promises of future wealth/titles either.

Where does this Harry sex worker story come from?

It's often mentioned on gossip sites.

I love history many thanks for teaching it - there's not enough of it about sadly these days. 👋

@StClare101 I am curious as to how or why these tabloids spread these sort of lies? And then they repeat it several times. I’d have thought that their target audience would notice. So it seems that only the tabloids abroad are the ones writing about it and then others are convinced that that there is a gag order because it’s been reported abroad, missing the fact that it’s only the tabloids doing it. I wonder if the speculators will ever stop?

But I guess it helps some people to read and click the tabloids when there are false and unsavory headlines because it’s just a little bit of “gossip.” I’d hate to be a public figure or a celebrity because it seems like they’re just considered fair game and not considered as human beings, without any consideration for the subject of the salacious rumours and their mental health and well-being and those around them.

There was an article last year about Amal Clooney being pregnant. Sources apparently revealed that she had struggled with sickness but was feeling much better now she was into her second trimester. There were pictures of her getting off a boat in Venice. Turned out to be total cobblers .She had simply had pasta for lunch and acquired a 'food baby' like the rest of us would.

It would dispel much ignorance 👍

Maireas · 21/01/2023 08:29

I agree, @GratingApples and @JinglingSpringbells

queenofarles · 21/01/2023 08:37

DH’s friend was part of the Blair’s’ security detail and he 100% confirmed that Cherie had an affair with Lance Armstrong.

I actually believed you there for a second and googled it 😂😂.

Good old Willy the heir is actually only 5 steps from Kerry. Kate’s sister is married to the brother of Spencer Mathews, who’s wife, Vogue, was married to the slimy Brian MacFadden aka the father of Kerry’s children.

on an old thread someone mentioned how the Queen is basically related to Kerry Katona and I can’t Unsee it 😆😂.

they must hate Pippa sometimes .

Hyppogriff · 21/01/2023 08:37

ChiefPearlClutcher · 20/01/2023 23:40

No way.

It was a rumour made up by Giles Coren, who is a cretin of a man (google him).

It’s just one of those rumours that some people would love to be true so it runs and runs. Like Harry’s parentage 🙄

This is not true. Giles simply confirmed a rumour that has been doing the rounds forever (and which I understand to be true from a reliable source)

ThisIsTotallyNewInformation · 21/01/2023 08:42

Highly likely, having a mistress is a normal thing in the Royal family, they're all at it. Philip had multiple. I don't see why William would be any different? Their job is to paint an image of the perfect family, if you believe they are actually like that all the time, all smiles and laughing, it's all an act.

Dippyeggz · 21/01/2023 08:43

I think it would be astonishing if a royal man didn't conduct multiple affairs

TheaBrandt · 21/01/2023 08:45

More likely to be true than not true looking at in the round.

LegoBoobs · 21/01/2023 08:45

Does it actually matter? He either did or he didn’t, their business though.

Hmmm .... no, the thing with Corbyn was that his own MPs were calling him anti-Semitic. Not a great look for a party leader however much people tried to distract from it.

GrinAndVomit · 21/01/2023 08:47

It was supposed to be with a woman called Rose.
Pippa Middleton recently named her daughter Rose.
This makes me disbelieve it.

What sister would name their daughter the name as their brother in law’s mistress? No one would be that cruel.
