Bloody hell, you are obsessed OP. Can't be healthy for you.

OP is a champion for K&W. It is so evident. Nothing wrong with that, but the need to trash H&M is uncalled for.

@YellowAndGreenToBeSeen he was a millionaire he could afford to buy something less embarrassing for himself rather than relying on the tax payer to fund it for him.

If you’ve read the book…

He never really had a home, let alone one he could furnish to his taste.

He comes from a family where everything was inherited, given and provided. No wonder he had no idea of how to truly provide for himself.

He has done what you ask of him.

SapatSea · 12/01/2023 16:21

Reportedly, Harry chose to live at Nott Cott and the mirror image 20 room apartment next door to W&K had started under going renovation (after The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester who had lived in it since the 1970's had been persuaded to leave) for H and MM and was due to have a very expensive make over just like W&K's before H and M decided not to be working Royals. He was due to have just as grand a place as W&K once he was married and works completed (reportedly)
www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-5699225/21-room-Apartment-1-Kensington-Palace-hurriedly-renovated-Harry-Meghan.html

I think Working Royals have the apartments and houses as grace and favour, free pads. There was negative press when it was discovered that Prince Michael of Kent paid about £69 a week for a large town house in KP and so most now pay small rents. I think Beatrice pays about £1600 a month for her 4 bed St James' Palace pad - no wonder her and Eduardo simply can't find the right London house to buy.

Wish they would abolish the monarchy.

Oh ffs everyone is allowed to think that about a house no matter how expensive it is or where it is.

Christ just because something is millions of pounds if it looked crap inside id say the same thing.

And lets stop getting so precious over the cost of living ...if you want to go down that road then let's look at he royals who are costing us money he way of taxes shall we. Or how the crown estate whose got additional money during covid to top up their loss of PROFIT! yes that's right the profit dropped and taxpayers topped it up meanwhile people were losing jobs during covid....where was ur outrage then...oh wait its cos its not Harry.

They can think what they like. But 2 millionaires publicly moaning about and ridiculing a free two bedroom house in Kensington (which is beyond the reach of 99 % of the population) is spectacularly out of touch and entitled.

HarryAntoinette could easily have quietly bought himself a palatial pad elsewhere if the free home offered was beneath them.

I am embarrassed of my home. Should I be eternally grateful because some people are living on the streets?

False Equivalence there. Harry isn't like you or me as he's a rich boy, so complaining like this isn't ever a good look for such people.

Doubtful the average person would feel embarrassed by the inside of Nottingham Cottage.

Or the SIZE of it....

confusedcentral5 · 12/01/2023 16:32

@Kateforqueen does it bother you that millions was spend upgrading W&Ks place?

Quveas · 12/01/2023 16:37

137 vitriolic attacks on Harry and/or Meghan in the last 12 days, and you think that they have a problem??? Pot, kettle....????

MysteryBelle · 12/01/2023 17:07

Tricolette · 12/01/2023 15:47

In 2016 Harry was 32 and had inherited millions from his dm.
If he was embarrassed why didn't he buy a nice house with his own money, like normal people.

Absolutely this.

Tell that to all the homeless in the UK & the millions of displaced people around the world... I'm sure they just want a roof over their heads.

Because they didn't make the stupid comment of being embarrassed of their home. They're not that tone deaf

Looks beautiful especially for a single man which he was when he borought Meghan to see his humble abode.. He had millions of his own to decorate it.

‘Whataboutery’ at its finest OP.

You do know the rest of the royal family, including W&K, are laughing up their sleeves at people like you, don’t you? They’re getting away with having millions spent on them whilst you ridicule H&M (financially independent).

They would find your sycophancy unbecoming.

ArseInTheDogBowl · 12/01/2023 17:16

Aw diddums, poor ickle Harold, it must have been just awful to inherit and become a multi-millionaire in his own right. And it's totally the RF's fault, they're so neglectful and evil and abusive for not pointing out to him that there are shops where you can buy paint and furniture and kitchens. It would have just been completely impossible for him to figure this stuff out at any point by himself, it's all soooo complicated and difficult after all.

ArseInTheDogBowl · 12/01/2023 17:17

Financially independent thanks to bitching about his family. Not so independent when they were scrounging off Tyler Perry though.

Rockybooboo · 12/01/2023 17:21

It's the Daily Mail so it will be twisted to fit the narratve. Have you read the book?

crosspusscrossstitcher · 12/01/2023 17:26

What a spoilt little frost bittenprick he is.

He got a FREE house and he moans about it?!?!?

Once William married Kate and they had a baby he was never going to be King and Meghan was never going to be Queen.

He needs to realise people are going to food banks, are choosing between heating and eating, employ someone who can "read the room" and maybe get a job if he can find someone to employ him.

🤬

Kateforqueen · 12/01/2023 17:33

@crosspusscrossstitcher that's my point. The cost of living crisis is dreadful, there's a housing crisis, thousands of families freezing & unable to afford essentials & fucking Marie Antoinette himself produces the clanger that he's embarrassed of his home... The UK is well shot of him.. Competely out of touch with the current situation in Britian & what the tax payers are going through to make ends meet.

If I had to suck up what he’s sucked up I certainly wouldn’t consider it free. Very telling that you think that one can be compensated for anything with financial security. Slippery slope that.

Kateforqueen · 12/01/2023 17:52

@jays it's not free it's paid for by the taxpayer & he's the cheek to say he's embarrassed by it!

Aw again because little Harold is the only one that has ever had to suck anything up in life.

FFS no one is saying that he hasn't had some awful things happen in his life, of course it's affected him and I really feel for him there. Money doesn't protect anyone from struggling mentally.

However most people who suffer awful tragedies and setbacks don't have the resources to fall back upon that he has. You don't hear Anne or Edward complaining about not having such a nice house or as many houses as Charles. Because they're not so stupid as to be completely ignorant of the optics.

piedbeauty · 12/01/2023 18:07

Well, Harry had been living in it for six years then, so it's down to him if it was scruffy or dated.

gravyriceandchips · 12/01/2023 18:16

All the things he's said, the crux of him feeling the way he does seems to be because he believes he and also Meghan have been treated differently that William and Kate have.

I can understand he's pissed off.

Not sure he's gone about it it all In the right way but it's done now.

DownNative · 12/01/2023 18:38

Nobody should be feeling sorry for Harry who's lived a life of privilege and luxury all his life. We now know he's lied and distorted things plus his memory is poor, so can't even take his words at face value.

Nottingham Cottage is quite a lot bigger than the average UK home.

Playing the world's smallest 🎻

MM didn't go out with a prince so she could live in a cottage, I'm sure.

Kateforqueen · 12/01/2023 18:59

@DownNative it looks idyllic to me. Quaint, small, cosy surrounded by beautiful gardens & the all important privacy he is so so desperate to get...
