The royal family

Congratulations to Prince Harry

Harry is the first Senior Royal to leave the family and make his own living. Edward had to receive a stipend for his lifetime. Edward tried to make his own living and had to crawl back to the family after his production company failed. Harry is the only one who has managed to leave and make his own living.

So congratulations Harry and well done on showing everyone that you can make it on your own.

As a royal he drove and sponsored large projects - just like Charles drove the start up of the Prince's Trust and Philip drove the DofE award schemes. William had done sod all by the same age.

Harry hasn't sold out any more than all the other royal leeches selling access to the palace, to other royals, to government officials, to awards etc. They all do it. They all spill the beans via leaks and "sources close to".

The difference is Harry isn't pretending not to do it.

This - they aren't nicknamed the Doolittles for nothing. That said the Queen/PP and Charles wanted to occupy a lot of that space and it sounds like there is a loot of petty jealousies infecting the royal landscape.

Here's the official list - Anne should be on a performance bonus ! Am I reading this right nothing for No1 and 2 just Anne and Edward ?

I'm right NOTHING for the next month for either the King or the Wales. Time for docking pay methinks and a quiet talking to.

IdidntshagHarry · 13/01/2023 12:51

Yes he is....... by whinging endlessly about them and holding on as tight as possible to his titles and his wifes so that they can keep on using them for their brand. Their brand appears to be built around being a royal, 'leaving' the royals, slagging off other royals etc

ancientgran · 13/01/2023 12:56

I would imagine the millions he interited from his mother and GGM probably helped, living rent free for years, allowance from his father. He was starting from quite a privileged position.

vera99 · 13/01/2023 13:01

Well Harry's working harder than his uplines.....I really can't believe the King and heir have nothing for the next month. I'm shocked , optics and all that. Anne is planting a tree in Edinburgh amongst other things.

Is is categorically not normal for military to advertise their "kill count". Bollocks is it part of the training

So gleeful.

Considering the engagements undertaken yesterday by Charles, Kate and William aren't showing, it could well be that the court circular isn't up to date.

He didn't "advertise" he answered a direct question.

You really don't think military are trained to capture an accurate picture of the impact of their missions on both infrastructure and people? Do you think they go there to sit down and have a tea with the Taliban and ask them to play nice?

Of course they capture this information and yes they do talk about it and yes part of the motivational training for war is going to affect how they deal with it and talk about it. Its not an accident that so many vets have difficult adjusting to civilian life - there is little transitional support to change from being trained to do what most of us would rather not think about but expect "someone" to do.

BlackFriday · 14/01/2023 11:32

"He didn't "advertise" he answered a direct questio"

Then he should have ducked the question, as other veterans do. He's a fool.
Actually, more than that: he is a dangerous fool.

Blip · 14/01/2023 11:34

Congratulations to the Duke of Sussex for increasing the terror threat for himself, his wife, his kids, the RF and the UK public.

And then for saying it's the fault of the media for repeating what he says in his best selling book.

Blip · 14/01/2023 11:35

Not to mention increased personal risk to his poor bodyguards.

kingtamponthefurred · 14/01/2023 20:04

Why congratulations? Has somebody endowed a Self-Deluding Twat of the Year award? If so, he would still be up against stiff competition, not least from members of his own family.

He was simply glowing tonight. Enjoying life!
Put all the miserables to shame.
Many congratulations to him!
Miserables wasting their breath calling for his return to give them something to write.

Congratulations to Prince Harry

Wind ‘em up, watch ‘em go. 🤣

DontLeanOnTheKeyboard · 21/01/2024 02:01

Utter bollocks to kill counts, unless you’re a knob. He, like all Royals ‘in the forces’ was not popular. They’re protected and tolerated, and mocked behind their backs.

JubileeJumps · 21/01/2024 02:25

He seemed to at some point to get opportunities to do something which you could consider work but made zero effort and got the boot. Spotify and Netflix dropped him and meghan because they made no serious effort. She especially barely engaged in her podcast.
It became apparent neither of them had any actual talent. I assume she can act but doesn’t want to do that.
I’m not sure how they will earn any money because they seem unemployable - unless they become influencers flogging stuff online.
I feel bad for him but it’s clear he isn’t very bright.
I can’t see them staying married. What is he going to do to keep from boredom?!

pilates · 21/01/2024 08:22

What are we congratulating him for, being a grifter?

Lockupyourbiscuits · 21/01/2024 08:38

He could have stayed in the Army which he talks about very fondly
Risen up the ranks and been the most respected person in the RF
He didn’t want to do the graft ( exam)
He knew he could still wear his dress up so chucked it in so why bother putting the work in like everyone else
The removal of military titles must have really stung

He’s done nothing of note since - sad and pathetic
He still harks back to his former roles , military and royal because he has nothing else

Hmmm. How many threads are you going to post this quote on? You’ve even managed to find an extinct one here 😆

edited to add a word I missed out

CathyorClaire · 21/01/2024 11:10

Oh.

Thought this was going to be talking up the plastic gong he's just bought.

Agree with this:
