His publisher has confirmed he's sold 400,000 copies across all formats in ONE DAY. That's probably a record breaking amount for a memoir.

@Tulipomania no but I had seen him called Harold on MN but didn't know why. Is that ok?

After all that laughing gas I’m not surprised😉But I very much doubt he will have the last laugh, the monarchy have been with us for hundreds of years,it will take more than a spoilt, paranoid brat to bring them down😏

bakalava · 10/01/2023 20:12

I raise you walking out of a birthing pool and going home within half an hour of an epidural. 😅

Rhondaa · 10/01/2023 20:12

Will he really judge this as success and not just loads of people laughing at him and his tales?!

StClare101 · 10/01/2023 20:13

It was always going to sell well.

bakalava · 10/01/2023 20:13

Oh, ordering and eating a cheeky Nando's and a fajita within the same half an hour.

HaroldsHoodie · 10/01/2023 20:14

I'm hungry.

Ohnonevermind · 10/01/2023 20:14

I cannot imagine the book sales will stay high, they could offer to donate copies but who would want copies of the humpy, grumpy, drunky, dopey, mopey, fauxby, huggy, buggy, sluggy prince

I have no idea why people are buying it. Just support your local library and get in line to borrow it! Saves the library, saves your cash and Harry doesn't get another squillion quid to add to his coffers.

There is no waiting list at our local library . My neighbour went in today and borrowed it .
She sent me a text a short time ago saying she will return it tomorrow as it is dire .

MarshaBradyo · 10/01/2023 20:15

Well yeh it was always going to make money, hence why he did it

Still many people have gone off him. I’m sure it’s worth it though

Rhondaa · 10/01/2023 20:15

Poor Pat the 'not hot' teacher with the spinal disability. I mean seriously, wtf is wrong with him and his equally clueless writer Confused.

Michelle rocks 👍

The majority of those sales would have been MNers who claim to hate him - yet ran out and bought the book, make threads about him, can’t stop talking about him and know every thing there is to know about him.

These threads are beyond obsessive about a person/couple that is apparently so disliked.

Have some laughing gas as well.

Thighlengthboots · 10/01/2023 20:16

Win? he's lost his family. If money is more important than his brother and father then he's welcome to it. You cant take money with you on your death bed.

I bought the book just to show support against slandering. I think people are being horrid. Mumsnet on this topic feels like watching the Oscar gala with my mother. Constant critique and badmouthing all participants, especially if they are female and/or anyway stand out from the crowd.

Err are you on the right thread. You seem a bit confused.

Why do people bother with this kind of post? Maybe you’d be better hiding the topic if you’re that uninterested.

Maireas · 10/01/2023 20:18

Did someone say it was in the category of non-fiction? 🙄

MrsTag · 10/01/2023 20:18

Who is the ghost writer? Male or female? Who is suspected?
