I probably should've clarified in the title that I meant last laugh financially. On a personal level of course he's screwed himself. Not just because of what he said, but because he's proved himself untrustworthy. No massive celeb is going to befriend him now they know he could repeat their conversations. One little slight and he could go into blab mode again. Who'd risk that?

It actually wouldn't surprise, because he has proved himself to be a complete dick, that he is actually laughing - at some point someone is going to get through to his little brain that, amongst other dick moves, he has put a target his family's back for pay back and a pay check. What a guy, he really is quite the catch.

Yet despite all the interviews, series and his book he looks far from laughing. He looks miserable, sad and angry.

Given the seismic repercussions that will follow the publication I can’t begrudge him the money. My god he is going to need it. A life time of 247 armed security is eye watering and incredibly expensive, and even the children will need it as they go to nursery and school. They will sadly always have to look over their shoulder now and sleep with one eye open. The taliban aren’t known for their compassionate forgiveness.

I have stopped being outraged and have started to feel quite worried about them. I would say he has been set up as who would blow up their lives like this, but he appears to be 110% behind his publication and stands by everything he has written.

Integrity like his Dad, who shagged someone else throughout his whole marriage? Or Camilla, who cheated on her husband with no worry about her kids for years? Or his creepy uncle Andy?
