Bookshops are opening at midnight for the rush to buy PH's book

Didn't the last Harry Potter book come out years ago though?!.
People order online more now to get it on release date, you'd have to be a special kind of bonkers to queue up at midnight for a book nowadays 😁

Everyone I know who wants to read it has bought it for kindle. I don’t really buy physical copies of anything now other than books for my teen daughter as she takes them to school with her.

I’m about a quarter way through it.

Cherry picked out and with their own spin and negative bias put on it.
I'd rather read it for myself and not the bits they pick out for me with their opinion piece on what to think attached to it.

The aspects that Harry discussed in the (recorded before the leaks) interview matched pretty closely to the areas the press has picked up on. So I think the ideas of what are the parts that stand out are pretty much the same from both perspectives

Pretty pointless in my opinion. It's already advertised at discounted to a third of original price at Tesco. We all know what's on book because it's been all over papers, news and Harry's interviews so who would be wasting £8 to buy it? Maybe a few homeless people can get into bookshop put of the cold.

I hope it was the store manager and not some assistant who put those two books together in one display.
Wouldn't want a student on minimum pay getting hounded out of a job!

The photo has been on this thread and probably thousands of other places online - with people saying how funny and clever it is - so any bookshop manager who objects to publicity like that probably shouldn't be in charge of a business in the first place.
