Out of curiosity as many people are airing views about her. But what is she actually like in the flesh?
I'm not a fan at all but she comes across as lovely when interviewed

OP posts:
TandTlunch · 10/01/2023 08:34

The truth is that we don’t actually know what she is like. All we have are stories of encounters with her that may or may not be true.
I am friends with someone fairly well
know that people on here ‘are not a fan of’ (to use OP’s phrase) and they are a genuinely lovely person in real life. I don’t think it’s possible to make a true judgment on someone unless you know them.
My opinion of MM has fluctuated but in reality all I get is a snapshot so I’ve no idea what she is genuinely like.

I am not an expert in narcissisim but re the paranoia about security - did you know that the Daily Mail had a map on their front page on the web that pined their address?
They also ran a another map with a huge arrow pointing to their house and had picture of the front?

..and? This really isn't top secret stuff..I'd be pretty sure just about every realtor and taxi driver in that part of the world knows where they live.

I suspect even without the DM or hints from the locals some could work it out by geolocation using images M&H have published.

Agree

California is the home of the celebrity home tours

Didn’t Harry do one with James Corden for his tv show 😂

Roussette · 10/01/2023 08:58

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 08:11

Your point - that the queen is heavily protected therefore she would not feel paranoia about people knowing her address of Buck Palace.

The same is applied to Harry. People may know his address but he will also be heavily protected by armed security. So why the paranoia?

keep up

Keep up? 😂
Rude!

His security will never equal that which is provided to the RF, however much he pays. His security people won't, for instance, have the intel of the british security forces.

Monzeitia · 10/01/2023 08:59

I can believe that, I used to live in a Suffolk village when I man that was walking his dog broke a leg and the air ambulance had to be called, the surprise was for the man to see PW coming out of the ambulance, apparently he put the man at easy and was very warm and friendly

Monzeitia · 10/01/2023 09:04

Nope, narcissist don’t believe there is nothing wrong with them but it takes someone who has been abused by one to recognise them straight away

He isnt a working royal and has little connection to the RF now. There’s no need for such intel. If there was a direct threat, his security team would still be informed. The celebrity bouncers he employs adequately reflect his status.

The more I see, she does seem nice (maybe too nice?), and does seem to have a lot of friends, plus past co workers and school friends who speak highly of her. Anything I've seen on TV is only been people speaking positively about her so it does start to make me wonder maybe she isn't as bad as 'people' make out?

on the contrary… her wedding was notable for the absence of old friends and family. Her guest list was made up of celebs who had only met her once or twice and seemed a bit bemused to have been invited, and the more famous of her former co-workers in Suits.

Sagharbor · 10/01/2023 11:24

@Nicecow

Good point.

Many are so eager to validate their dislike for Meghan.

Sagharbor · 10/01/2023 11:30

@Orangefir and @notimagain

California is probably one of the few places where their privacy is protected by the law.

"In California, paparazzi are legally prohibited from trespassing on private property, using telephoto lenses to survey private property, or pursuing targets in cars."

Wishing both Harry and Meghan, the best of luck. They appear like a good couple, who found themselves in an awful situation.

Glad they left.

Sagharbor · 10/01/2023 11:34

@Whenharrymetsmelly

Is there anything wrong with being too nice?

Trying hard to fault with the most mundane aspects of being🙄

Lampzade · 10/01/2023 11:40

pocketvenuss · 09/01/2023 17:19

Why would they suddenly protect her? They didn't when the media and ignorant forums bullied her relentlessly. No no. Much more likely there was nothing there that they could feed ti the media. If there was they would have. And as others have said, no real negativity from people who worked with her as an actor

Yep

Great, thanks for that info:

Gives more evidence to why he doesn’t need tax payer funded, round the clock royal security then

Lampzade · 10/01/2023 11:45

The hatred that some of you have for someone you don’t even know is scary AF.
With respect, some of the posts sound unhinged.

DogBowlsAreMyWeapon · 10/01/2023 13:59

“Hatred” is not the same as calling out hypocrisy.

Really? ,some comments are poisonous utterly, vile
and you'll think you know so much about the situation and how the royal family feel.

Well I think you will find he does have quite a large connection to the royal family being the reigning monarchs son and the Heirs brother 🙄

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 07:43

I wonder how the queen coped with her paranoia, knowing the world and it’s dog knew the address of Buck Palace. Even had to signal to people that she was in with a flag 🙄

She had security.

A lot of it.

Paid by us.

Even then someone managed to get to her bedroom.....

Orangefir · 10/01/2023 14:52

They are estranged. They don’t communicate, he lives on a different continent, he no longer works for the firm.

He is no longer the RFs problem. Inc his security concerns

TuttiFrutti · 10/01/2023 07:55

Wasn't there a thread on here months ago, from someone who was the manager of a shop in London where MM had gone in with her friend Jessica Mulroney when she was dating Harry but not yet known, and behaved appallingly? Tried on clothes and threw the items she didn't want on the floor, was rude to all the staff and laughed at them. I think the OP said she had to give some staff time off afterwards because they were so upset at the abuse they got from her.

If that were true there would be CCTV footage - all shops have it for security.

That particular senario would be worth quite a few zeros on a cheque.

The tabloids would have tracked that down - too juicy to loose.

Usually in life when something seems too absurd to be true it is.

Not that is matters, but Northwestern is an extremely well regarded and hard to get into American university—much harder to get into than St. Andrews.

Both are highly regarded - St Andrews is no. 1 in the Guardian’s university guide. Northwestern is well regarded, but it’s not Ivy League. I would say they are much of a muchness tbqh with you.

They are still father and son ,nothing changes that.

Yes but she never developed paranoia about her safety did she.
She had security to reflect her status and Harry now has his- his celeb bouncers.

x2boys · 10/01/2023 14:58

Thats got nothing to do with whether he has adequate protection. Which he clearly does in the shape for private security

TumbleJots · 10/01/2023 15:04

Read Tom Bowler's (?) book Revenge. You will see just how lovely she is to those who know her...actual real, named people.

The libel happy pair have not taken out any court action against this book.

Anyone can be lovely in an interview...it just takes some smarm, eye contact, smiles and wide eyes and away you go. Difficult to keep up in real life though
