Very moving so far. Charles breaking the news of Diana's death doesn't sound as cold as the leaks make out. No mention of a hug or lack of, but breaking the news gently and calling Harry his darling boy - Harry having a lot of compassion for his father in that moment.

Nobody seems to have told him that his Mum’s driver was blind drunk the night she died.

I was just thinking this. He was over the legal limit, this means the driver lacked the capacity fully to operate a vehicle.

Diana also didn't have a seatbelt on which was fatal in itself.

There were so many variables that played into that tragic incident.

He spoke about Diana and blood in crash photos but I believe that she had no visible injuries on her

So far I'm feeling huge compassion for Harry.

Harry says he mentioned the loss of his virginity in about four lines so it does sound as if this part of the book has been blown out of proportion.

He didn’t say they were on Diana’s bonnet. He said that paps had climbed on his bonnet when he was driving up to London from the country and he couldn’t see.

Yes, that's what the general sentiment was at the time, and I think that (as far as there ever is a general opinion) the British public were hugely supportive and has a compassionate soft spot for him.

That's another reason why there was such goodwill towards his marriage - people really wanted him to be happy and he'd always spoken of how much he wanted DC and so it really seemed it was coming together for him

That's intentional. Harrys people won't want him to feel relaxed. He might say more than they’ve rehearsed if he starts to feel comfortable.
