Curiously enough, AC is the son of Gloria Vanderbilt. Her aunt and AC's great aunt was Thelma Morgan, who became, through a short marriage, Duchess of Furness; but all through her marriage she was also Edward VIII's mistress - until usurped by Wallace Simpson.

I bet there will be a bunch of inconsistencies thrown up again between pre-book interviews and book content. It must be hard for a prince who has always had PR cleaning up the mess before it is visible to have learned about the lack of control he has now that he has stepped out into the big, bad world as an ex-Royal.

I expect that when he says that he supports the Monarchy, he is not talking in a straightforward manner. It will be heavily qualified to the extent that it will become obvious that he is actually expressing support for a different model he dreamed up with Meghan.
