The blood test that supposedly revealed he was drunk had a high level of carbon monoxide in it that made no sense. At the inquest there were suggestions it was not his blood.

Suggestions made by Fayads lawyer and Fayads pathologist. Just before they said Prince Philip arranged the hit. 🙄

For those who have sought to comment on Harry and/or his wife’s mental health and fitness, I would encourage you to read the following article in the Telegraph. It features an interview with this site’s founder. She’s made her own assessment of some of your mental faculties.
Mumsnet founder: ‘Our users are deranged when it comes to Meghan’

I can't see this as I'm not a subscriber; do you have a share token, please?

doory · 09/01/2023 00:03

@MoscowMules I agree in part but it was just so misogynistic.

MoscowMules · 09/01/2023 00:03

doory · 08/01/2023 23:55

It's truly shocking that they had to do that walk behind Diana & greet people who were mourning for their mother. Why did people think this was ok?

The public at the time we're to blame for this. The walk abouts and the hand shaking.

The Queen by all accounts wanted the boys kept in Scotland. But the public would not cease in their pressure to see the family grieving. The demanded their return to London. Baying for grieving blood.

The whole episode of public grieving around Diana's death was sycophantic and abhorrent.

Honestly anyone who joined in with that should be ashamed of themselves, publicly wailing and throwing themselves on their knees. It was fucking odd!

Daisysway · 09/01/2023 00:03

I personally feel for both William and Harry. How do you cope and live with the fact that you are the sons of an engineered marriage where there was no love...it was arranged for the future of the institution.

rumship · 09/01/2023 00:03

Cath667 · 08/01/2023 23:52

James O'Brien is a gobshite.

100% agree.

doory · 09/01/2023 00:04

The MNs founder is right, some people hate them so much. Do they feel personally rejected?

I think the palace are just going "no comment" on everything at the moment that is directly or loosely connected to H and M.

It really is the safest bet for them in the long term.

We all know the palace has a "relationship" with the press, deals are made, things are hidden, start poking the bear and it could bite back.

Safest bet is to leave it in its cave and let the news cycle on.

The palace said they were making no comment on Clarkson but were 'said to be furious' 🙄 that Camilla was linked with Clarkson and that lunch

purpleme12 · 09/01/2023 00:04

He came across as someone who sees himself as on a mission to correct all the wrongs in the world.
Also who sees himself as better than other people for this whole realising he's got unconscious bias thing

Jennybeans401 · 09/01/2023 00:06

Maybe in a few months Harry will claim Willy hit him but it was due to unconscious aggression.

doory · 09/01/2023 00:06

@MoscowMules sometimes I wonder if the vitriol he attracts is because some feel guilt in the role they played. The press has been disgusting to the RF but there is an appetite for it. and

LivelyBlake · 09/01/2023 00:07

headstone · 08/01/2023 23:55

The only thing I was surprised about was that he came out and supported lady Hussey. I thought that was quite sweet given how cold the place were about dismissing her, William didn’t even mention her name despite her years of loyal service.
other than that it was quite predictable, he says he so happy now but seems so sad. I really hope Meghan doesn’t dump him.

The RF had to take a stand against racism so they sacked Susan Hussey. They had to take a stand because they had been accused of racism and their supposedly racist behaviour was being discussed openly by the media.

Now Harry says that they never made those accusations. Too late for Susan, I guess.

William didn’t him him. 🙄

He was just hugging him.
He’s always been a hugger

Yes and the Queen could have quelled the hysteria in an instant had she chosen to film a message from Balmoral paying tribute to Diana and saying “we are staying here as a family in Balmoral for the sake of the boys”.

Instead of which, aside from a very brief printed statement, she said nothing which gave the impression none of the royals cared about Diana’s death, which probably pretty much reflected the truth.

When he smiles, he looks like his grandmother, the queen.

Yes I've always thought that, when there was stuff about his dad not being his dad i said but if you put a curly wig on him....

JudgeJ · 09/01/2023 00:14

Pansypotter123 · 08/01/2023 23:10

@JudgeJ and also KC is a product of his own upbringing. It's very sad.

I wouldn't say it was sad, just a different way of doing things. Saying to your child 'Love you' a hundred times a day doesn't make you a better parent, your actions should tell your child you love them,

Good description.

Spot on. The number of people who come across as mentally unwell on these threads is huge. They have crossed the line of obsessed to dangerous.

MarshaMelrose · 09/01/2023 00:16

BradfordGirl · 08/01/2023 23:24

They haven't backtracked on the racism. They said what had been said to them about Archie. They did not say that was racism.

I think it was racism. But plenty of other people on MN did not.

After the interview people were postulating that it was Prince Philip who made the comment. Immediately on the morning news next day, Oprah appeared and stated very clearly on HAMs behalf that neither The Queen nor Philip had said it.
At the same time the word racist was used everywhere, even asking William if it was a racist family. If Harry had wanted to keep the, "they're not racist" line, he could have clarified that as well. He didn't. He allowed the word 'racist' to be used over and over for nearly two years.
Don't come out with that bollocks, he never said. Because his silence after clearing up the rumour about his grandparents confirmed that he was saying they were racist.
He's a true shocker.

You could well be right. I've always thought the delay was more a "what the fuck are we supposed to do" moment, put out a brief statement and then panic some more behind closed doors, till ultimately the decision was made to return to London, as per the public's request, and film a segment from Buckingham Palace.

It was a unprecedented moment, of which not even the most experienced palace aid had an answer for maybe?

But yes, maybe your point is also correct, maybe they just didn't care.

We will never know 🤣🤷🏻‍♀️

'Articulate, compassionate, empathetic & at peace.'

I really don't think I was watching the same interview as James O'Brien.

No one twists facts as much as James O'Brien. And if he's losing an arguments or someone presents facts that ruin is argument, he either cuts them off or says he's not allowing them to talk about that. Just because he says it rather than writes it makes him no less an arse.

Satinwoodlill879 · 09/01/2023 00:19

Well tbh, he probably is quite rare for realising it, given the circles he comes from.

Boulshired · 09/01/2023 00:20

I can’t understand the “swear on mummy life”, Harry said it was only to be used in extreme circumstances but William may of honestly believed that it was an extreme time. If this conversation wasn’t deemed personal and private how on earth can any future conversation pass the mark. Sharing their childhood code seemed much worse.

She is right.

The number of posters who are obsessed with knocking down and criticising M&H is alarming. It also shows there is no point trying to reason, use logic or debate with these people. They are certifable.

ItWasDobbinAtTheMareAndSpare · 08/01/2023 23:46

Just realised I posted this on the wrong thread:

This is really interesting though, what he said said about Susan Hussey:

“Meghan and I love Susan Hussey. She [Meghan] thinks she’s great. And I also know that what she meant . . . she never meant any harm.”

He wasn’t there and he’s potentially saying that a black woman, Ngozi Fulani, is wrong in feeling that it was racist. I don’t know either way but I’d certainly not be announcing to millions that the person impacted is wrong. It’s a bit as though only they can be wronged.

As much as I have empathy for some of it, this seems kind of off, and not in line with someone spending so much time talking about racism and unconscious bias - someone receiving awards for it!

Agree. That was a bad thing for him to say

Morestrangethings · 09/01/2023 00:21

doory · 08/01/2023 23:52

The Clarkson article was a good one to bring up in terms of being abusive and sexist towards Meghan but didn't support his overall argument about the media being unaccountable.

But wasn't the issue also the silence from the palace?

But wasn't the issue also the silence from the palace?

I thought so.
