reading this evening about fight after Philips funeral where William invoked the phrase ‘ swear on mummy’s life’ is nothing sacred to Harry , why does he need to tell all these things .

OP posts:

Harry is never going back to the Royal Family as a whole.
He is friendly with some of his cousins.

Jordosky · 07/01/2023 23:53

It was horrible how Martin bashir exploited Diana for his career. It’s happened to Harry, he’s been exploited by Oprah, Omid, his publisher, his ghost writer and his wife. I was stupidly feeling sorry for him yesterday but it’s his family that are the real victims here. Must be horrible seeing a relative self destruct like this.

60smusic · 07/01/2023 23:53

OMG poor William.

Harry is definitely unhinged and needs help

PicturesOfDogs · 07/01/2023 23:54

Also bearing in mind this is just after the Oprah interview aired, so William must have been angry with him, but still all he’s showing Harry there is love.

I bet he’s fucking gutted over this book

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 07/01/2023 23:56

Yeah Harry’s weirdly friendly with ANDREW of all problematic people to be linked too!!! At least Charles is pretty obvious about how he feels about Andrew, super weird that Harry hangs out at his house and isn’t using his beloved platform to speak out about Andrew given he’s speaking out about LIPGLOSS AND BINS

(should say, I’m coming out of a bad flu and honestly the news is just so bizarre around this book!! Like total self-own by Harry)

Jordosky · 07/01/2023 23:56

Even in that extract where he’s desperately trying to twist it to make them look bad, he’s shown how much they care about him and how frustrated they are at the situation. Says it all.

It comes across as neutral to me. Just because a relative wants you to be friendly again, does not mean you have to.

Sauce for the goose. If Charles and William reject Harry's overtures for reconciliation after this disgusting book, I assume you agree they will be justified in so doing.

I totally agree. Scraping the barrel on lip gloss but refusing to criticise Andrew. Ridiculous.

Bard6817 · 08/01/2023 00:01

The more revelations, the more i think he is mentally ill and the victim of Markle in all of this.

Jordosky · 08/01/2023 00:01

Always find it odd the super fans use the what about Andrew argument to shoot down any criticism of Meghan and Harry. But they ignore the fact Harry and Meghan get on and stay in touch with that branch of the family. They have no issue with them and won’t be calling them out any time soon. Bigger question is why is Harry ok with his sleazy gross uncle. Even his dad has disdain for him. They were never really exposing real scandals or reforming post colonial infrastructure. This was all about making them money and rebelling against not getting their way with the collaboration. Also sounds like it was a deliberate tantrum to distract eveyone from the bullying claims. The books confirmed all of this now.

BradfordGirl · 08/01/2023 00:02

I know Harry and Meghan are friendly with Beatrice and Eugenie. I have not seen anything about them being friendly with Andrew.

Eugenie. No evidence that he is friendly with Beatrice. But she seems by far the more retiring of the sisters anyway. She doesn’t seem overly close to anyone.

Thank you!! I’m republican (small r) and honestly Harry… I never trusted him after his use of slurs (shocked at the time and still now don’t trust his epiphany that racism is bad… erm big woo). He still wants to be a royal, still wants a stupid title and hasn’t spoken out about who the racist was or against Andrew and his abuse of women. So far the only racist we know of is him and Philip. At BEST he’s the same as the rest of them… except I don’t know anything of the others personally, they’re so distant, whereas this book is showing Harry is a prime idiot and honestly there’s something creepy about a sell out. All petty gossip and no reform, when he had this huge audience, and all for a few bob 😡

They met with the queen at Andrew’s residence, and they haven’t spoken against him ever. Which is weird, given they’re activists and he was caught up in a huge paedo ring. God I’m not even a royalist and I’m learning all of this from the book reveal!!

Yes, surely he must be able to see that? In this whole sorry saga though I still didn’t think there’d be something that actually made me feel so sorry for William, but this has, it’s heartbreaking.

SausagePourHomme · 08/01/2023 00:10

it reads like something out of 'take a break' doesn't it

TooBigForMyBoots · 08/01/2023 00:15

It's not a secret phrase.🙄 It's a thing that some siblings and parents use for verifying the truth or emotional blackmail.

The Royal Family is a dysfunctional one.🤷‍♀️ In this they are just like all the other dysfunctional families out there. No better, no worse. The only difference is common folk play this out in communities and SM, not international media.

And massive wealth.🤑

Jordosky · 08/01/2023 00:18

He writes in the extract it’s their secret phrase that has a particular meaning for them.

It's a common parlance but if you read the article it clearly shows that it's something that was special to them and so it was a big deal when William said it to Harry.

Backstreetsbackalrightdadada · 08/01/2023 00:19

Harry does call it “the secret code” though… and now published it for all to know :( it’s just so creepy!!

Mañanarama · 08/01/2023 00:22

Harry, on happier childhood memories:

“But now I saw that even our finest moments, and my best memories, somehow involved death. Our lives were built on death, our brightest days shadowed by it. Looking back, I didn't see spots of time, but dances with death.”

He described Windsor Castle as a “tomb, the walls filled with ancestors” and Tower of London “held together with the blood of animals” adding, “maybe we were a death cult”.

Oh dear.

The more I hear, the more I think she’s nothing to do with it. This has obviously been festering for years.

Jordosky · 08/01/2023 00:22

Yes his hypocrisy seems to know no bounds. And how easily he back stabbed them all, as soon as they didn’t give in to his demands, is quite something. Done feeling sorry for someone like that.

Nancydrawn · 08/01/2023 00:22

That excerpt is desperately, desperately sad.

In this, certainly, William does not come off as the villain.

Yes! Maybe it reads better in the actual book 🤷‍♀️
