I'm feeling a bit sorry for Harry

I feel like he needs his mum more than ever. To put an arm round him and say "enough son".

He needs guidance, he's never had maternal guidance. Its well documented that Williams life has been really enhanced by Kates parents. Harry has never had that and i feel sorry for him.

Nobody knows what Diana would think. Like any Mum she would have to deal with bickering kids. It’s quite common! She didn’t always get on with hers.

LadyMuckingabout · 07/05/2023 09:40

Furthermore people tend to imagine Diana as forever 36, when now she would have been 60+, a grande dame and not likely to be susceptible to gushy flannel.

Whaeanui · 07/05/2023 09:46

People have such double standards. Dior isn’t the only designers publicly posting about the royalty they dressed for the occasion.

They're in love with him, face it. 😉 I almost wish he didn't come, it would have forced them to focus on the rest of the boring feckers.

My thoughts exactly. I looked at Charles and Camilla on the balcony and they look back with an empty void and she got a bit agitated with the kids to her left. No joy at all projecting forth.
Hardly surprising that people prefer to talk about a lively character like Harry. He's free to be himself and not weighed down with the system.

8roses · 07/05/2023 09:55

@Whaeanui except they don’t get paid to wear their clothes - Harry was leeching the dior bee at court. Fair enough but he could at least have an iron run over it and avoid making foolish faces. Put me right off dior.

8roses · 07/05/2023 09:56

Merching not leeching 😂 although if the cap fits

Whaeanui · 07/05/2023 09:57

How do you know Harry got paid? Dior did the same thing as Sophie’s designer.

8roses · 07/05/2023 09:58

Please - they won’t promote anything without being paid 😂😂

8roses · 07/05/2023 09:59

Meghan wanted to be paid for doing walkabouts 😂

Whaeanui · 07/05/2023 10:00

You don’t know that at all. Again, the only reason anybody is claiming it is because of the social media post by Dior, when other royals had their designers do the same. What is the problem here? Designers post who they dress for the day 🤷🏽‍♀️

SnowlayRoundabout · 07/05/2023 10:00

I wouldn't boast about it if I were Dior, the trousers made his legs look very spindly.

You don’t know that either. You just parrot what tabloids tell you.

Princess Diana was very patriotic. And protective. I think she would have been worried about Harry going so overboard for Meghan, and devastated about the rift with William. I do not think that she would have seen Meghan as a kindred spirit At All.

I agree with this 100%. She grew up in aristocracy, her father was an 8th Earl, she understood custom and tradition. That's why, on paper, she was actually a better match for Charles than Camilla.

I like to think that had she been alive, yesterday she would've attended as the heir's mother, looking fabulous as always. She and Charles were actually on the best terms they'd ever been at the time of her death - I can imagine them rubbing along quite nicely in old age and being respectful of one another as their children's co-parent. Lots of divorced couples do end up getting along and their eldest son's position in life would've meant their paths crossed more times than most.

You don't know that they didn't get paid and he did!
But even if he did, so what? He's not leeching off us the taxpayer. Unlike the rest of them fckers.
If Dior want to pay him that is perfectly normal for famous people and designers.

Put me right off dior

😂😂😂

I hope the next coronation is full of Spencers as it should be.

AnnunciataZ · 07/05/2023 10:07

I'm sure they'll be devastated to lose your custom.

Of course it would be. Both William and Harry have a good relationship with their aunts and uncle.

Ellmau · 07/05/2023 10:09

Louise's dress was gorgeous.

AnnunciataZ · 07/05/2023 10:10

I think Diana's father was at the coronation in 1953 as all peers of the realm were invited but there were far more guests in the Abbey back then. Not that I think Charles plumped for a slimmed-down guest list just so he could exclude his ex brother in law!

I used to work in an industry related to fashion and I can tell you that clothes are loaned to celebrities to wear, the celebrities aren't paid to wear them. Harry wearing Dior yesterday was worth ££££££ in advertising – that kind of exposure is priceless to a brand. Meanwhile, he gets a free suit. It's how the system has worked for years! Plus, as PP have said, tons of guests were dressed by designers yesterday who loaned their clothes. He wasn't special.

Samcro · 07/05/2023 10:14

so Harry turns up, doesn't do anything wrong and yet he gets bashed.

Whaeanui · 07/05/2023 10:18

@Samcro yes by some. I am so glad Meghan didn’t come or bring the children, they’re definitely best away from this lunacy.

Sudeko · 07/05/2023 10:18

Neither Harry nor Meghan have what it takes to be on the payroll of a fashion house as a muse. They are both too short and lack flair. However, they have a collaboration with Dior as many celebrities do which is basically being loaned/given clothes in exchange for tagging. They don't really do Dior much justice.

Rockybooboo · 07/05/2023 10:31

I don't feel sorry for Harry. I watched it yesterday and it would be my idea of hell to be in that family. Even the kids outfits were scrutinsed. The kids looked lovely but imagine if George really doesn't want to be King and doesn't want to marry a suitable girl. What if Charlotte doesn't want to dress up? Wants to shave her head and live in scruffy clothes, puts on weight etc. Its like the Truman show.

Harry came and did his bit for the silly circus and then went home to his beaitiful wife and kids in his amazing home in beautiful weather.

That's just plain catty.
