Harry killed 25 people in Afghanistan and is upset about being thrown on a dog bowl?

Can't get my head around this honestly. I understand combat is different but I always got the impression that it's mostly strategic work and only a limited percentage of soldiers actually end up killing. A few lives would be bad enough but 25?!! Those were all sons, brothers, husbands and fathers as well.

But yeah, boohoo that he was pushed onto a dog bowl by his older brother and then paid millions and millions to portray himself as a victim of violence.

As per usual with the meghan and harry show, he is vague on details.
William apparently grabbed him by at the front of his clothers and broke his necklace. Then nothing... no he punched/pushed/shoved me. Just he fell back into the dog bowl which broke. So I think he was shocked at the lunge forward and stumbled back to get away and fell over backwards.

William shouldnt have put his hands on him, but who knows what Harry said that provoked such a severe reaction. Something about Kate I suspect. I wonder if it was around the time of the wedding when Megs called her out for having a baby brain?

purpledalmation · 05/01/2023 20:27

And if Harry was a co pilot gunner at the time of these killings, he would have been in a helicopter. So how the hell would the deaths have been counted. ???

MarshaMelrose · 05/01/2023 20:27

I thought he said William knocked him over. He didn't describe how, though.

MistletoeandBaileys · 05/01/2023 20:28

I don’t think this is going to end well for Harry.

He has gone full scorched earth and rather than gain any sympathy he has just turned himself into a laughing stock in front of the whole world.

He keeps saying he is his mothers son. And that’s a bit concerning. It’s like he has no idea of who he is. Nearly 40 with two children and still acting like a rebellious 15 year old.

I fully believe all this happened because daddy said no to him. And he has never needed or learned to take accountability for his own actions.

How long before he blames the ghost writers for screwing up the story?

#dogbowlgate is all anyone will take away from this.

BadShepherd · 05/01/2023 20:29

@purpledalmation surely as a pilot it wouldn’t be safe to take your socks off for counting purposes?

MakeItADouble2 · 05/01/2023 20:29

I am sure PH has suffered or is suffering a lot of PTSD from what he saw and did while serving in the army.

This thread is ridiculous because you can't connect what happened while serving as a soldier to his brother assaulting him.

Battlecat98 · 05/01/2023 20:30

DanseAvecLesLoups · 05/01/2023 19:40

Did he bore them to death reading the first draft of his book to them?

Brilliant 🤣🤣

Nanalisa60 · 05/01/2023 20:31

Exactly op , that’s what I thought I have killed 25 people, but my brother pushed me and I broke a dog bowl. Really get a life.

also really shows how stupid he is I don’t know any one who would tell the world that they had killed 25 Taliban and not expect a target on there back. What a twat .

Meltinthemiddle · 05/01/2023 20:31

Didn't Harry have an altercation with a journalist and push him? He has a temper himself, find it hard to believe he didn't retaliate.

Mykittensmittens · 05/01/2023 20:33

limoncider · 05/01/2023 19:35

My partner is in the army.

I've never asked him how many people he's killed.

He's never volunteered that information. I'm sure he knows but he never talks about it.

It's most odd that Harry has chosen to.

Same. DH has seen active service for many years. In awful places. Armoured Corp (tank driver) and previously other frontline roles.

he’s a staunch royalist. He was in the queens royal lancers too. The queen was his ‘boss’

but even he today has said this disclosure is disrespectful, unnecessary and vulgar.

I support his view as he’s seen a far more realistic view of things than I ever have.

MistletoeandBaileys · 05/01/2023 20:33

@Meltinthemiddle yes he did. He referenced it in his fecking Netflix documentary. I thought it has been said for years that both brothers had a tendency to have a hot temper. And Charles has always been said to have a hot temper.

Minimalme · 05/01/2023 20:37

Apparently he spends a lot of money on security. Maybe he wanted to give them a real and present threat to deal with?

On the job training perhaps?

Nanalisa60 · 05/01/2023 20:41

Don’t think I would want to be working for him as security, now he has told all the mad taliban of the world that he had killed 25 of there brothers.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 05/01/2023 20:45

How long before he blames the ghost writers for screwing up the story?

I've been thinking the same. I hope the guy got a shedload of money because he's right in the line of fire (so to speak) when H decides that he's been misquoted and his truth twisted.

There's no respect for jewellery these days. It's effing shocking.

sod that think of the poor dog bowl.

Xenia · 05/01/2023 20:53

Given how they react when you draw some cartoons in Paris, he certainly is asking for trouble with saying he killed 25 of them, although he was serving his country and we are lucky to have soldiers, of course, who are prepared to look after our interests.

It makes me laugh that there are hundreds of threads here disgusted at the fact that someone has "aired their story" . Have you seen what site you are on? The entire site relishes in people airing their dirty linen in public. And MN promotes itself and makes money out of doing exactly this. Hypocrites all of you.

And you’re here too so I hope you’re directing your judgmental insults towards yourself.

Ermm - factual comments not "judgemental insults". You don't know any of these people. You have no idea what is the truth. At least I am honest enough to say that I don't give a shit. You are making out that the soap opera doings of a highly dysfunctinal family, as aired through multiple media, is actually important. There is nothing about this family that doesn't crop up 200 times week on AIBU, so that everybody can pile in on whoever they feel like having ago at. This is neither news, not reality. It is pathetic diversionary tactics to avoid talking about real life - a failed government, cost of living, energy bills, the denial of womens rights in Afghanistan and Iran, etc etc.

If MN is against the airing of dirty linen in public it can start off with deleting all the prurient threads doing just that, and it's own attempts to highlight them in social media for the benefit of hits that attract advertisers.

They may well have had some form of onboard video recording or similar, so any count could have been done post action.

There are examples of videos taken during helcopter v. insurgent engagements out there on the internet but they don't make for comfortable viewing

Anyhow this this isn't new news....though I'm not sure he has put numbers on it all before:

MadAndGlad · 05/01/2023 20:56

Harry, ditch the narcissist bitch. Then maybe you can come home. Maybe...

Nimbostratus100 · 05/01/2023 20:57

Both my grandfathers fought against the nazis in the second world war. I spoke to them both about their service in their old age, and recorded their accounts for posterity. Neither took any pride in their "tally" - both were discrete and respectful to Germans, neither would give any sort of number, although one had been mentioned in dispatches for courage and efficiency. Both spoke of individuals they had been instrumental in the deaths of, with huge respect, admiration for their courage, and regret. One spoke of individual nazis he had helped save.

I have no opinion about the Royal family as individuals, apart from their position, they seem to have a more or less normal set off ups and downs.

Pride and gloating in the number of deaths of one specific ethnic group that you can "claim" as a total is depraved and unforgivable

Thankfully, it is probably imaginary

That's an awful lot of words to tell us you don't give a shit while taking a spurious moral high ground.

He broke his fucking necklace too. Shame on you for minimising his trauma. 😔

And he had the matching bracelet and ankle chain too. How's he going to wear the set now?

bellinisurge · 05/01/2023 21:07

He's so messed up. Everyone who loves him must be so worried

CoffeeBoy · 05/01/2023 21:25

But you’re still utilising a site, which you seemingly find so disgusting. You appear to believe yourself to be superior to the average poster with your supposedly “factual” comments. You’re still clicking on here, you’re traffic to the website. You’re supporting it. Therefore I would argue that makes you as much a hypocrite as anyone else posting on here, more so even as you seem to believe you’ve Seen Through this sink hole of a site, yet here you are still posting away…
