The Sun have got hold of a copy of the book that was accidently put on sale in Spain. They are clearly skimming it as fast as possible with a translator. They are reporting that W&H begged KC not to marry C, and that he thought she was leaking stories to the press.

Bloody hell.

This is not true.

Simon Rex was offered money to lie about a tryst but declined it.

She paid him more. Didn't you catch that part of the story 😅
The tank you note is a dead giveaway.

As for the ex husband, I know all about that one from the horse's mouth as it unfolded. Why would I bother to deep dive into it on a public forum to satisfy the stans? It will all come out when the time is right.

Oh boy. This is all I need to know. It's been fun. Thanks.

Harry’s “self-reflection” seems to involve a finger pointing somewhere else each time.

Yes.

Bringing up all the perceived slights that he can think of.

Re the fancy dress-I wonder how the press ever got hold of that?
Also the details of what William wore?

There must be many private events that they have attended over the years that the public know nothing about because no one has spoken of them.

Presumably he thinks the palace leaked it to stop the press going with something about someone else?

Hardly!

Even when Andrew was dodging having papers served and the court case was looming the threads were not exactly busy! I know because I started quite a few of them!

It isn't true that the threads you started on Andrew weren't busy. I did an Advanced Search of the threads you started on Andrew. Three came up:

  1. www.mumsnet.com/talk/the_royal_family/4443261-Prince-Andrew-Thread-2?reply= A continuation thread you started after the first thread became full (1000 posts). This Thread 2 of yours also filled up to completion: 40 pages, 999 posts.

  2. So you started Thread 3. www.mumsnet.com/talk/the_royal_family/4449237-Prince-Andrew-Thread-3?page=40 This also got to 999 posts, ie one post from being completely full.

  3. So you started Thread 4. www.mumsnet.com/talk/the_royal_family/4464450-Prince-Andrew-Thread-4?reply= This one only got to 24, pages, 590 replies. But by that time the topic had been discussed for over 3-and-a-half full threads.

Going by the above, the threads you started on Prince Andrew were unequivocally exactly busy.

William is not a thug. He got pissed off at Harry being a dick, there was no reasoning with him and because William cares deeply about his brother, his family and the institution and because he feels all that responsibility on his shoulders, so he saw red when his beloved brother was being so pig headed and probably extremely rude and provocative about William's wife.

If anything this makes the royal family more relatable. They are royal because the constitutions says so. Until that changes the RF just is, whether we like it or not. If they are human and experience anger, jealousy, worries, bullying, sickness, death it makes them more relatable, not less. The RF fulfils a function, both historically and, while we have a monarchy, at present and in the future. There are many parallels with ancient mythology and the RF represent more than just the collection of imperfect individuals.

Just because some people are monarchophobic and Harry is trying to take advantage of that, it doesn't mean the British public will get rid of the monarchy anytime soon. As we can see, they provide huge entertainment value, if nothing else. So, in some ways, Harry is doing a great job as the spare, he has chosen to play the role of jester (again lots of parallels with antiquity) and is providing much needed belly laughs for the population at rather dark and gloomy time. Those Spanish translations were the funniest. I mean he uses the medium his auto-biography to declare that he mounted a horse loving older woman, and let her spank him after the deed?

Pottyaboutplants · 06/01/2023 12:04

I find it really strange that people aren’t remotely concerned that William physically went for Harry and it is being dismissed as ‘brothers fight’ and ‘a real man wouldn’t wear a necklace’.

If there was a thread on MN where somebody’s husband was physically assaulted by his 37 year old brother there would be posts advising the person assaulted to ring the police.

Its really odd that a 37 year old man is practically being applauded for assaulting another man in his own home.

Relatable?. I can't remember any of my family hitting each other. So are updating that it's a good thing Harry has spoken out as he's made them look like the thuggish side of society?

BabyHettie · 06/01/2023 12:10

It would be best if Harry reported the incident to the police so that it can be properly investigated. Harry would have to reveal what else went on and a more holistic picture of the situation would emerge.

thereisonlyoneofme · 06/01/2023 12:11

Well done you!

It pales into insignificance compared to the 600+ threads on Meghan & Harry. And believe me, there were lots more started that hardly got any traffic. I didn't start them all

But that's fine! Three threads, two of which filled!

I support them even more. Because I get what Tyler Perry was hinting at.

The Windsors are more dysfunctional than the Markles. In fact they are horrible people. And they are abusive.

How do you tell a 12 year old boy his mother died, then not hug him, then leave him alone in his room until the next morning. You don't even have the decency to tell the boys the news together?

How do you introduce your lover to your bereaved teenage son, one year into his mother dying then have the news leaked by the lover's private secretary as part of her campaign for public acceptance?

Charles and Camilla, and even William are horrible people. Harry and Meghan are well shot of them. The chaotic bumbling Marbles are a delight in comparison, even Samantha's multiple twitter handles are more honest than the leaking and briefing against each other that Charles did to his Diana, and that William did to Harry.

I hope that Harry does not come to the coronation, and that they keep their kids away from the whole shit show.

The Marbles 😂😂😂😂😂 perfect error.

BethDuttonsTwin · 06/01/2023 12:15

PA’s situation is resolved and was done pretty rapidly. What else is there to say? M&H are on going and going and going…

BabyHettie · 06/01/2023 12:15

I don't think it will be detrimental for the RF, no. I do think Harry should report the assault to the police though so that it can be legally dealt with. At this moment it's just unsubstantiated gossip or possibly slander. Best to let the police and courts deal with this if anything illegal has happened. Harry was very vague about this encounter focusing on the dog bowl detail rather than sharing the whole dialogue. He'd find more peace if it went through the appropriate channels.

Better than a grown man revealing how he lost his virginity and all the other crap that is currently flooding out. I feel he has someone's hand firmly up his "ass" working him.

Perhaps it's the done thing in white aristo circles for adults to thump each other over disagreements. I would not know, I don't belong to those circles. I was raised to believe that violence is not acceptable, and that domestic violence flourishes in homes because of the kind of excuses you have given here.

The trouble is that the story is all so vague. It jumps from William allegedly going for Harry to Harry lying on the dog bowl. It's all a bit odd, especially given that Harry was at the relevant time a young, fit man not long out of the army - and it's very very difficult to break the normal type of dog bowl by falling on it. And it comes from someone with a history of embellishing the truth to suit his agenda. If this happened at all, how do we know it wasn't all accidental, or self-defence on William's part? I think most people are rightly reserving judgment.

ArcaneWireless · 06/01/2023 12:21

Indeed. I wonder if he did report it to anyone. If he documented his injuries. If he kept his torn necklace. If he noted everything that was said leading up to the incident.

I think something happened. I’m just not convinced it happened the way he has said.

stop excusing him, this is just the real Harry the royal family has been covering up all these years. Ask yourselves why has none of this stuff ever reached the press it’s because the palace has repeatedly sat on them plus I suspect some of the U.K. press have censored themselves because they knew her was a car crash .

I think Meghan actually held Harry back from talking more. This is Harry talking about what he wants to talk about.

BradfordGirl · 06/01/2023 12:35

@SnowlayRoundabout Harry says clearly that William attached him.
Believe that ir don't believe it, but don't pretend Harry was not clear.
