@MarshaMelrose
Yesterday, before 1700, @PicturesOfDogs posted that she heard the book had "transcripts of conversations".
I said that given the measures around the book, any such claim was that of a fantasist based on speculation. It simply was not true as no one had read the book and so any "I heard X" was speculation.
I was right. The poster was a fantasist. There are no "transcripts of conversations" that have been reported by anyone, even after the leaks. There is remembered dialogue, a standard literary device for any memoir, but no "transcripts of conversations" as that suggests Harry has been recording himself, and others, all his life.
I could also say that on another thread, I predicted that Prince Harry would address his drug use, his time in the army, the Nazi uniform, the Paki slurs. I said he would address his mother's death, meeting Meghan, and that there would be lots of healing stories as well as stories of conflict.
I was roundly mocked for that.
As it happens, I was right.
I am looking forward to getting my books on Tuesday, in the two languages that I read and work in as I want to read the book, not clumsily translated bits from Spanish. Because literary and literal translation are not the same thing.
