Do Harry and Meghan realise hardly anyone supports them?

So everywhere there seems to be complete negativity towards the Netflix documentary and the autobiography coming out. They seem to be universally slated as whingers.
so how much do you think this feeds back to them? It must be v easy to live in a bubble with close supporters telling them they are doing a grand job. But how much reality do you think gets through of how badly they are coming across,

It's Harry and Meghan who are outside the RF and claim they are now free to use their voice.

Coxspurplepippin · 04/01/2023 18:13

The image repeatedly being posted of books about Harry - many of them look like very cheery books - a pictorial celebration of their engagement, another one of the wedding, the usual kind of things published around a royal engagement/wedding,there's several that look slightly Mills and Boonish about his romance with Meghan. Many include interviews with Harry himself.

Of course there are also half a dozen in that montage that aren't just about Harry or Harry and Meghan, they're about William and Harry.

Do you have a similar montage of the books about other members of the RF? Do you know how many writers profited off books about, say, Queen Elizabeth?

The RF can use their voice too. Nothing stopping them.

Blip · 04/01/2023 18:15

That's not what H&M claimed. They said they couldn't use their voice inside the family.

What on earth do you want them to say? Put it into words.

Rhondaa · 04/01/2023 18:17

The tide has most definitely turned. When we have Mandela's Dgd criticising them you know they've, as always, overegged it.

If they'd stfu after FF or The Oprah Chat Show they may have retained a shred of credibility, but the constant barrage of whispery allegations are just tedious and ridiculous. I feel sorry for them.

Roussette · 04/01/2023 18:18

They couldn't use their voice about Andrew? I think not.

He is a hot potato, no one wants to speak about him and his dreadful behaviour but putting it on to H&M to do is ridiculous. Imagine... just imagine... the criticism he would receive.

I can imagine it on here..

How DARE Meghan and/or Harry speak about this, it's nothing to do with them
Who do they think they are?
Why are they using a member of the RF to push their Agenda
Why don't they keep their noses out

And so on

pompomdaisy · 04/01/2023 18:20

I'm ambivalent towards any celebrity. I have a life!

Rhondaa · 04/01/2023 18:20

'What on earth do you want them to say? Put it into words.'

I'd like them to say 'Harry and Meghan remain much loved members of our family'. The Sussexes will be fuuuuuuumin over the silence. They want an out and out media slanging match. Which is most odd because they don't like the media or sharing personal info 🤔. #Authentic MyArse.

I don't speak for them. I just find it pathetic that H&M are criticised for not speaking about Andrew when there is complete silence from them.

They can keep silence if that's what they want. So can H&M, it''s not Harry's father/brother

Coxspurplepippin · 04/01/2023 18:21

Why would they say anything about Andrew? I wouldn't hold any of my family responsible for publicly commenting on the behaviour of another family member.

Ohnonevermind · 04/01/2023 18:21

That is the problem, Harry as a royal using Mandela’s words fine, Harry using Mandela’s words to make money, makes some people uneasy including Mandela’s relatives z

I don’t think Harry has appreciated the difference.

Perhaps if Meghan hasn’t used the Nelson Mandela dancing anecdote and talked about being make to stay in a ‘housing unit’ they might have given them the benefit of the doubt.

I’m afraid I don’t believe for a moment that anyone would defend the universally despised Andrew. In fact, speaking for myself, them speaking up about him - alongside criticising their direct relatives as they do - would for me, give weight to their complaints.

Blip · 04/01/2023 18:22

H&M very happy to make vague and unspecific claims about racism in the RF but too nervous to talk about sex trafficking?
Happy to launch broadsides into Charles William Kate and ER2 but too nervous to criticise Andrew? Why would that be?

Coxspurplepippin · 04/01/2023 18:22

Oh, and I agree it's not up to Harry or Meghan to say anything about Andrew either.

Your post is out of context. We're talking statements about Andrew

I'm sorry but I've been on thread after thread defending him. Just this morning his victim was called 'a slapper'

Roussette · 04/01/2023 18:24

Oh god, I haven't been defending him lol!

I've seen it!

I will repeat again. If his siblings can't speak out, why the hell should a nephew speak about his uncle.

I think some posters are being deliberately obtuse. He is 'the one who no one is talking about'.

Oh roussette so what, you aren't the boss. I'll say what I like when I like. Thanks for your assistance thoughGrin. I might bring up something else out of context now you mention it..

EveryLittleWish · 04/01/2023 18:25

I know lots of people who support them too !!

Blip · 04/01/2023 18:26

If a son can criticise his father for alleged racism he can certainly criticise his uncle for sex trafficking.

You can say what you want. I thought you'd missed what we were talking about. That's all. Don't be so prickly.

I support them. The people I know who read the Daily Mail don't support them and the people I know who don't read the Daily Mail support them. Take from that what you will.

Exactly this.

The Venn diagram of Daily Fail readers, Brexit voters, M&H haters is actually just one circle 😂
