Is a piece of shit. I refuse to link to his article in which he explicitly says he hates her and can't wait for the day he can physically assault her.

Can the Kate sycophants tell me again how this all happened to her and is totally normal and acceptable?

Genuinely disturbing thing for someone to think, let alone write, let alone to get approved by sub eds and printed. It's actually quite frightening that so many people felt this was acceptable to be published. Men who speak about women like this so publicly... imagine what they say in private when they think nobody outside their echo chamber is listening.

Coxspurplepippin · 18/12/2022 01:06

Rockybooboo that's interesting. Wouldn't it be great if Mr Clarkson had a visit from his local station. Knowing his form he'd probably turn it into a 'poor me, they're picking on me' moment. What a sorry excuse for a human being he is.

MissTrip82 · 18/12/2022 01:56

What a disturbing insight into his mind. And that’s what it’s apparently ok to print - I shudder to think what some people are saying/thinking about her privately.

You lost me at ‘Kate sychophants’ OP, you’re as bad as he is 🙄

Well, no.

On the one hand, we have an anonymous Mumsnetter calling other forum users sycophants – mildly rude, I guess, but not calling out anyone individually or threatening them; versus a wealthy white man with power and a huge media platform saying in print that he wants to see a specific mixed-race woman paraded naked and pelted with faeces.

Please explain how OP’s comment is as bad as Clarkson’s. I’d love to know.

And it’s quite clear the Kate reference is about the endless posts on the royal board over the past weeks claiming that Kate has had it just as bad as Meghan in the media – it’s in no way implying this article is her fault, it’s stating the truth, which is she has never ever had anything like this. She’s had misogyny, sure; but this is violent misogynoir on a whole new level.

themessygarden · 18/12/2022 04:04

My god, that is just absolutely sick, how can he say that and get away with it, he should be fired immediately and arrested for hate crimes.

MrsTumblebee · 18/12/2022 04:42

AndEverWhoKnew · 17/12/2022 22:40

Is that you, Jeremy? Blaming a woman for attending an event and then also blaming her for how the media reported on it. Sure, it's always a woman's fault, amirite? Or are you yet another boring misogynist who is completely incapable of focusing on men's bad behaviour without trying to drag women in too. Maybe you'd prefer Tattle. They seem to think everything is women's fault.

I’ve no idea what Tattle is but yes to the rest of your post.

Crispychocolateslab · 18/12/2022 05:03

No fan of MM - I think she’s a manipulative, dishonest troublemaker. But I am absolutely disgusted by what Jeremy Clarkson said. The man is a revolting woman hater and any woman in his life should think very carefully about what sort of man he is. He’s really not joking, either. He is the sort of man who would throw shit at a woman paraded naked through the streets. Very disturbing.

Why did you bring race into it?

Ineedtocleanmywoodenblinds · 18/12/2022 06:06

It’s awful but reading the genuine hate and vitriol on here towards her it’s no surprise. He is, and always has been an awful person but I honestly don’t think he’s alone in his views, reading some of the comments on Mumsnet recently I sadly think some people would be nodding in agreement.

Whether you like, dislike or have no particular feelings on MM the way some people talk about her is truly awful and JC will have been emboldened reading comments on her (although probably in press and Twitter rather than Mumsnet to be fair). People have completely dehumanised MM, it’s truly, truly disgusting.

HitMeWithAHotNoteAndWatchMeBounce · 18/12/2022 06:22

I’m no fan of H&M - I seriously wish they would just fuck off and live the private life away from the media that they said they desire - but clearly don’t. I’m so, so over them it’s untrue.

But what Jeremy Clarkson said it utterly indefensible. What an unmitigated cunt he is.

And what a monumental own goal, as well.

All he’s doing is proving their point, and actually peaking people. Anyone (like me) who’s over their moaning and whinging is having pause for thought right now.

Complete and utter fuckwit.

daretodenim · 18/12/2022 06:48

I can't believe an editor okayed that. Both the editor and JC should be sacked. If it's somehow a crime they should both be charged too.

People saying that KM didn't receive abuse like that - no she didn't and neither has anybody else. It's pure misogyny. JC has a track record for that, although not to this level (that I know of). I can't speak to racism but I know for sure the prick is a misogynist because it's all over seasons and seasons of Top Gear.

He's also just been to the palace. Doubt he'll be invited back, ever. I hope not anyway! Don't even know why he was there in the first place.

daretodenim · 18/12/2022 06:50

Rockybooboo · 18/12/2022 00:36

I actually emailed the Met Police about this and they replied and said that they have already been made aware of this. It's inciting violence against a woman. It also proves that there has been bullying and misogyny against her.

I really hope that the Royal family speak out. Camilla is involved in domestic violence against women and Kate was seen at the Sarah Everard memorial so I'm hoping that these aren't publicity stunts.

Great! I hope they're charged (him and whoever signed off on it).

Spencerfloral · 18/12/2022 07:16

This new article may actually be even more abhorrent than the one he did a few months ago where he called Harry “c**t struck” and derided Meghan for being a divorced woman. I can’t believe this kind of misogynistic hatred is still being printed.

BarrelOfOtters · 18/12/2022 07:18

RoseslnTheHospital · 17/12/2022 18:39

So because he also wrote some slightly less unpleasant stuff about other people in the same column... that makes what he said about MM somehow... less bad? Less vile? What, exactly?

There is no context to make it seem better. And the GOT reference being a Quip (different poster), it’s horrible and bullying in its full context.

what is it with middle aged men and MM?

MrsTumblebee · 18/12/2022 07:21

@BarrelOfOtters - what does GOT refer to please. I’ve never come across it before.

BarrelOfOtters · 18/12/2022 07:22

@MrsTumblebee game of thrones. There’s a pretty horrible scene where this happens to one of the main characters…the shame and excrement.

SallyLockheart · 18/12/2022 07:36

MrsTumblebee · 18/12/2022 07:21

@BarrelOfOtters - what does GOT refer to please. I’ve never come across it before.

the GOT reference is that Cercei, defacto ruler of Westeros, encourages other to fabricate lies and incriminates her daughter in law as being unworthy in the eyes of the law of the land, with said daughter in law thrown into prison. The story unfolds and Cercei herself is found guilty of lies and coercion and is likewise thrown into jail and compelled to repent. The walk of shame though the city - naked and being barracked by the population of the city - is her act of repentance. Cercei's actions are all in the name of gaining power and obliterating her opponents

MrsTumblebee · 18/12/2022 07:42

@BarrelOfOtters thank you. I had no idea as I didn’t watch the series. But yesterday when I read the comment I immediately thought of people being tarred and feathered. I think I first heard of it in a film called Ryan’s Daughter and it was such an awful that even 50 something years later it still randomly pops up in my mind.

I’m dumbstruck by what he said.

MrsTumblebee · 18/12/2022 07:43

Thank you Sally. 😊

SallyLockheart · 18/12/2022 07:45

You're welcome. GOT fan and book reader though wish GRR Martin would get a move on and finish the next book! the over arching theme of GOT is fighting to be King or Queen within royal families

And I think you calling him a cnt, OP calling PM a cnt and JC a "piece of shit* is disgusting. Not nearly as bad as what JC wrote about Meghan but when they go low, we should go higher.

Three of my adult children are big GOT fans but I was put off by a persons eyes in the first episode and never watched it again. They were really creepy and I thought it was going to be a ghost story. I think it was a young boy.

I have seen the building that was said to be the brothel when I was in Malta. It was quite by accident and looked very nice. I didn’t go in 😂
