Is a piece of shit. I refuse to link to his article in which he explicitly says he hates her and can't wait for the day he can physically assault her.

Can the Kate sycophants tell me again how this all happened to her and is totally normal and acceptable?

spectacular idiocy on the definition of words, total cherry picking to suit an agenda, talk about ramming yourself into an outfit that doesn't fit and shows all the flaws.

Hello kettle.
The intention was clear, as well you know - to articulate a pure visceral hatred of an woma he considers worse than a peadophile child killer.

I don’t believe those ‘sockpuppeting’ allegations against Richard Eden at all. He’s a lovely man with integrity, and is certainly not consumed with hate.

Excellent work! Grin

BethJ62 · 21/12/2022 08:56

Yeah.... Meghan and Harry walked away. Big deal.

It's now totally understandable why they did.

They walked away because they couldn’t get their own way . Nothing to do with taking the moral high ground.

Yup, they'd still be half-in/half-out if the institution agreed to it.

They walked away because of the vile and hateful media levelled at Meghan with no pushback from the Palace.

NO . They walked away because the Queen wouldn’t agree to their half in/ half out proposal. Had she agreed , things would have been very different.

They wanted half in to serve the Queen, and half out, to be financially independent, because with that financial independence comes the right to cut off the parasitic and abusive media relationship. The royals accept public money so there is public interest and an agreed relationship with the press: Harry and Meghan wanted to deal with the press on their own terms – and the Clarkson article shows why!

Theunamedcat · 21/12/2022 10:03

No they still wanted the financial benefits but to also trade on their royal names to make money that's simply not how it works

How? they clearly asked for financial independence. Essentially working for themselves (as they are doing now) but carrying out royal duties on behalf of the institution.

They were very naive to believe that earning their own money meant public interest wouldn't be invoked. Good thing the half model was rejected.

BethJ62 · 21/12/2022 10:21

For those who have forgotten a link to the original statement. No mention of media or in law problems . Clearly they thought HM would rubber stamp their wishes . She said no hence the foot stamping .

Anonymouseposter · 21/12/2022 10:23

Well Jeremy Clarkson and the Sun have achieved a result completely opposite to what they intended. A large number of people have reacted against them. They have turned things sour for the Royal family and caused criticism of Camilla (although it wasn’t her party and we can’t really infer that he’s a friend of hers). I know the King has always gone with the don’t complain approach but I wish he would make a statement now.

ZeViteVitchofCwismas · 21/12/2022 10:29

Apparently a friend of her son's?

Lets ignore that fact that the statement is one of a number they published at that time. Even the article you linked references other articles on their website directed towards media intrusion. Even if they were foot stamping JC's comments do not stand as acceptable.

BethJ62 · 21/12/2022 11:02

Yes , they like making statements. We all know that . But the basic fact is that they did NOT want the walk away . They wanted things on their own terms and it backfired .

Don't agree. They wouldn't have gone if the Palace had put out a very firm statement condemning the increasing hatred in the press

How did it backfire? They have the ideal life now. The UK had become toxic towards them. This is much better than the original arrangement they wanted

Exactly. The only people that have lost out are the RF: H&M have a lot of pulling power, as we have seen with how many people watch anything to do with them. Their wedding is the most watched royal wedding. The Oprah interview and this latest docuseries has been viewed a huge amount of times (Netflix's most viewed premier e), and the fact the UK papers still write about them every single day even when an event is nothing to do with them. H&M's new life is a million times nicer than the gilded cage/ goldfish bowl of being in the RF. I'm sure most would agree.

GreenLunchBox · 21/12/2022 12:31

Compare their doc to the number of people who watched William's Earthshot prize. 300 viewing live on YouTube 😬

So why say they wanted to collaborate ( dear God!) with the Queen etc . Absolutely no mention of we will stay if the press stop being so beastly to us.
Harry wasn’t used to The Queen saying no to him . After all she suggested a quiet wedding , Meghan to stay working but he got his/ their own way .
Of course now he is changing the narrative ( a bit like you are trying to rewrite what happened) and say that The Queen sat quietly while big bad William terrified him by shouting !! Are we supposed to believe this nonsense ?

Aye, because people weren't expecting salacious gossip and mudslinging from the Earthshot coverage. It says much about the viewing public, sadly.

Sorry but W and K’s wedding was the most watched Royal Wedding .
Look , people claimed the Royal Family would collapse after the Abdication. It didn’t. Then it would collapse after Diana died . It didn’t. Now you are suggesting it won’t be the of the same interest with H and M ? And yet , somehow it continues. Not perfect by any means but people still turn out to watch Jubilees , HM’s funeral etc and I am pretty sure there will be massive interest in the Coronation .
It might be worth noting that the Duke of Gloucester was once 5th in line to the throne . Now he is around 20 I think ? That’s Harry’s future .

BethJ62 · 21/12/2022 12:44

If their lives are so much nicer , why still moan about their short time as a working royal couple ? Why not cut the cord , drop the titles and have the best life ?
The best revenge is to live well .
