Once you begin using family relationships as a source of income, you have to respect that many will not feel they are able to interact with you.

I would not expect my own mother to avoid the holiday party of a friend because someone else that had said terrible things about me was attending.

They've refused to condemn JC but are angry Camilla has been linked with him. So they CAN speak! The silence on this is absolutely their complicity. We know it now anyway.

I think being here, actively engaging in conversations where so many nasty things are said openly is far worse than going to the same party. I went to a party with only about 25-30 people on Sunday night. There were at least 1/3 that I never even had in eyeshot. I’ve had more interaction with your ideas in the past 24 hours than I did these people.

it’s the Queen consort who has a lot of soft power. It’s also the same monarchy who we are told have been racist and/or not done anything at all to protect a black woman, one of their own family member!, from being on the re diving end of racist remarks.

I’ve been at parties with people that have been vile to me in the past. I am able to navigate that quite easily without being rude to anyone nor expecting my host to keep a diagram of who has been vile to whom.

So yeah, I wouldn’t expect my step mother to bother declining invitations because someone wrote mean words about me. And I wouldn’t expect her to have a crystal ball where she can predict that a guest is going to do that in the future.

Particularly not when I’ve repeatedly gone on television insinuating she is a racist and inciting the kind of hatred you see right here on MN against her, myself.

Has Harry ever gone on record to decry the awful things said about his family? He didn’t even defend Meghan really until more recently, just kept expecting everyone else to do it. Just like he expected someone else to get her help when she was suicidal. Well, he didn’t seem to even expect that, just told her to get dressed for the theatre.
