Is a piece of shit. I refuse to link to his article in which he explicitly says he hates her and can't wait for the day he can physically assault her.

Can the Kate sycophants tell me again how this all happened to her and is totally normal and acceptable?

@Roussette it was satirical and it's obvious as the nose on your face to anyone reading it! Anyone who takes it seriously is either being completely disingenuous or is just plain thick and stupid! Maybe they do agree with lots of the other criticisms though? As i said they are better placed to know the "real" megan than any of us are!

bellinisurge · 19/12/2022 09:04

Clarkson regularly says offensive things. Most you can shrug off. The legal test on whether free speech crosses the line is whether the opinion is "Worthy of respect in a democratic society ". What he said isn't worthy of that respect.

Roussette · 19/12/2022 08:01

I would go. I wouldn’t avoid parties they attend. Why should I?

Because you have a role as an advocate for a domestic violence charity and because your daughter in law is being abused and harrassed by these men.

What’s the point of Queen Camilla’s patronage, if her and Charles can’t speak out against their own daughter-in-law being abused online and in print?
It's nothing to do with liking her or not. It’s bigger than that.

Rightio.. we wouldn't want Camilla to miss out would we Hmm

I assume by Daughter in law you mean Meghan? Just to let you know the other daughter in law Kate is having some pretty awful things said about her on another thread . Hope you are outraged about that too.

So it was OK. You think it was OK to have that article printed, and anyone who disagrees is either disingenuous (an overused word) or plain thick and stupid.

Got you.

I understand you and your post perfectly. What a post from you.

It was just satire and the RF thinks she deserves it. According to you.

I wonder if Camilla's DV charity would agree with you?

We are talking about this article and Meghan.

I do not think any woman should be maligned in the Press, neither Kate nor Meghan and I've said that a lot over the years. It is appalling and should not happen..
So... nice try... didn't work.

I have not seen the other thread. Yet.

bloodyplanes · 19/12/2022 09:16

But its not DV and is nothing like DV? Are you now saying that they should defend Megan even if they can't stand the woman? Thats just hypocrisy! Don't try and take away from women who have been victims of DV ( myself included) by equating this to DV! The man is a self important twat but it was satire and that was completely obvious to anyone with a brain in their head!

bloodyplanes · 19/12/2022 09:17

@Roussette you understand me and my post perfectly....from your slanted viewpoint of the world!

Ok but next time you or someone else start on about Andrew on a Meghan and Harry thread , you won’t mind being corrected ?

You are being ridiculous, DV can take many many forms not just a black eye you know. Alienating family through social media, spreading lies on social media, partners reading emails and setting location devices, writing slurs on FB, making up lies and spreading it etc. You get the picture.

So they hate for her and anyone can write anything. Just satire and a laugh. Got you.

I have a brain in my head thanks. Your continual insults mean - to me - you are on dodgy ground here.

But keep defending Clarkson, it's an eye opener to many people. He was just having a laugh.

LimeCheesecake · 19/12/2022 09:27

The Palace could absolutely condemn this and all additional nasty articles about Meghan and any about Kate (although while I’ve read a lot of criticism of Kate on here / twitter etc, the actual press seem to be positive about her).

I’m not sure why anyone thinks Charles is stuck following his mothers failed approach, unless he too thinks his brother is more important than his son.

Inkanta · 19/12/2022 09:41

I would like to hear from the King on these issues and his Queen. He's a King and should speak like a King.

Don't want to hear anymore from the palace press office or from so called palace experts anymore on this.

It’s not about missing out. It’s about not being forced into certain actions because of dickhead men.

Again, for all you know, she could have told Piers Morgan he is a dickhead. She may have taken the opportunity to quietly tell him what she thought of him. Or been asked for him to kept away.

Attending a function, that someone else is, isn’t condoning the actions of that person.

JCs column (imo) is online abuse and harassment. Potentially, inciting potential violence. But that came out after the lunch. So irrelevant to the lunch.

PM is a dickhead. I wouldn’t change my plans because he happens to be there. I wouldn’t be bullied into hiding away from him.

Notice that no one is asking why he was invited in the first place? Just simply trying to take the actions of men and assign some blame to women. Cause women.

Roussette · 19/12/2022 10:03

I wouldn't be 'hiding away'. Far from it. I would be making a point. And much easier to make a point from the position Camilla is in. It's not 'hiding away' if you make it clear why you will not be attending.

Of course he shouldn't have been invited in the first place but I know nothing about the man who laid on the party. I will go and look.

nogginatemycat · 19/12/2022 10:21

Typical Jeremy type article, dark humour & staire call it what you will.

I thought it quite funny as I took it in the context it was mean, if people want to be offended then thats upto them but we dont live in a dictatorship so deal with it.

As for people bleating about the RF should be speaking out, WHY! Meghan and Harry chose to leave they are no longer part of the Firm or the Royal Family. As they keep saying call me just Harry and Meghan.

Roussette · 19/12/2022 10:27

Noted. Another defender of Clarkson.

Are you expecting people to be upset or offended that you have "noted" that they are defenders of Clarkson? Who made you the arbiter of all things right and wrong? I couldn't care less what you think of my opinions! Honestly you are batshit!

nogginatemycat · 19/12/2022 10:42

Coxspurplepippin · 19/12/2022 10:46

The sad thing is, all the publicity will be causing the rag the column was printed in to be rubbing their hands with glee because of increased traffic, clicks, money rolling in.

The likes of Clarkson and Morgan earn the big bucks both for themselves and the publications and TV shows because they shock, people talk, argue, get riled up on both sides, while the instigators laugh all the way to the bank. Neither have a shred of common decency, I think Morgan particularly is a narcissist but with a very thin skin. Neither should be given space to spew their pathetic, odious opinions. But it's all about the ££££. Their fans fawn, their detractors are angry but both sides contribute to the £££££.

I know people don't like the rf's 'never complain never explain' mantra, but it does take the wind out of the sails of this sort of thing. All that's happening at the moment is more division, Morgan will no doubt up the ante and the coffers will fill. If everyone just ignored the pair of odious toads, sent a complaint to ofcom and stopped giving them oxygen, their editors might think twice. As it is, they'll be loving it.

Exactly

That would be great, but it ain’t going to happen
Charles doesn’t want to risk upsetting those who he has a Faustian Pact with.

ThighMistress · 19/12/2022 10:47

Yes - I think Jeremy clarkson an odious individual, but Roussette with her notebook putting a black mark beside people is a little bit sinister…

Also, just because one is critical of M&H doesn’t mean one approves of JC. What idiocy.

And another thing - you don’t have to bring down Kate as a tit for tat. As I’ve said on other threads, this is so…. pathetic. In the same breath posters talk about misogyny, too! Loons!

wishingyouwell · 19/12/2022 10:50

@Coxspurplepippin That's a lie. They always explain and complain when it suits them. They use their friends at the Daily Mail and other tacky media outlets to respond and to dish dirt.
They choose to respond when they want to. They just don't find sexism and racism to be problematic and they endorse it.

Coxspurplepippin · 19/12/2022 10:51

I'm a liar. OK, gotcha, thanks.
