Is a piece of shit. I refuse to link to his article in which he explicitly says he hates her and can't wait for the day he can physically assault her.

Can the Kate sycophants tell me again how this all happened to her and is totally normal and acceptable?

Just to be clear, people are suggesting that because women on Mumsnet have criticised MM, they caused JC to write this?

So male misogyny is women’s fault?

The fault for JC’s misogyny lies with JC and JC alone. Stop blaming women.

Lampzade · 18/12/2022 09:19

shame on you Op for bringing Kate into it?? Clickbait.

Shame on you for minimising it and pretending this sort of hateful language is just 'free speech'.

He needs an audience to get away with writing that stuff. As can be seen from this thread and many others on mumsnet, he has an audience who are more than willing to try and justify what he's written.

It is different - I have never read anything so explicitly sexually violent in a newspaper before. It's incredibly dark. But I think the tabloids feel emboldened having got away with printing explicit racism about her in the past too.

They've got the establishment (the Royal Family specifically) on their side on this, therefore they know all bets are off.

The only thing is you are the audience too and will be bumping figures, anyone reading and sharing it is

I agree with pp though why mention KM?

raspberrytinsel · 18/12/2022 09:25

still waiting for the article's racist quote?

Rowthe · 18/12/2022 09:25

I actually went and read the article.

Its absolutely disgusting.

Why is it always the elderly white men - Piers Morgan, et al who do something like this?

Can't believe he thought he would get away with it. I think he'll be cancelled.

Holly6547 · 18/12/2022 09:26

The way that Kate was brought into this was wrong. I think that the OP wanted to counter the claim that Meghan has not had to endure anything that Kate hasn’t, from the tabloids.

wishingyouwell · 18/12/2022 09:27

He proves why they have to leave and how sexist and racist journalists are emboldened in their sexism and racism by the RF.
I still await his comments on the child abuser. The silence is deafening.

Rowthe · 18/12/2022 09:27

And why are people on here blaming women for his behaviour.

We cant win.

We are the subjects of their violent fantasies, and then take the blame for their behaviour.

If you haven't been gleefully trashing MM on Mumsnet then clearly my post is not aimed at you. But I disagree that Mumsnet doesn't contribute to setting the tone for debate in this country. As you acknowledged, it is frequently quoted in mainstream media, it is a large, well known forum. Like Twitter spite, it all part of nudging the Overton window for vile misogynists like Jeremey Clarkson. Treating this as a one of aberration by a vile man misses the point - this was felt acceptable to publish in a mainstream paper. What contributed to that climate of acceptability?

That exactly proves my original point. You assumed because I disagreed with you, I must dislike MM or have posted abusive things about her.

The vast majority of people who don’t think she is wonderful, also don’t post abuse about her. The over use of ‘MNers are abusive about MM’ is overused and directed at anyone suspected of not being 100% supportive of her. Exaggerating what (mainly women) post and then saying they are, in part to blame, for misogyny is ridiculous.

No one said he is operating in a vacuum. He gets away with it because… misogyny. I do believe this column could incite further hatred, directed to MM. But on the flip side you could say that H&M and invited hatred towards the RF. words spoken and written, could contribute to violence. Could contribute to verbal abuse.

The reason JC and the Sun have (so far) got away with this is, mainly, down to misogyny. I am mixed race. So I would also say it’s down to some racism. I do doubt people like him would hate quite as much is she was white. This all existed far before MN and will exist far after. That’s what contributed to the climate. That does mean anyone who isn’t a fan is racist or sexist. I do think JC is, however.

But HE is responsible for his words and The Sun is responsible for printing it. We change society be making it clear that’s not acceptable. Even is it’s challenging individuals to start with.

Seconded, come on using this again prove it. The old race card at cringe Markle every time some one says anything against her is pathetic.

raspberrytinsel · 18/12/2022 09:31

@Lampzade Free speech does not give anyone the right to incite hatred and possibly lawless action against an individual.

Where does the article do that? Incite is quite a belligerent word, stop throwing words you don't understand around. Just because someone does not agree with you or is more cutting in their delivery of said opinion does not mean they should be silenced. If there is no balance in opinion then we are all nothing.

it is an opinion on a person who has made money out of people making opinions on her. Just because he is male does not disavow him an opinion.

wishingyouwell · 18/12/2022 09:35

@raspberrytinsel That is ironic to read as it is yourself who is coming across as lacking the ability to accept there are other opinions outside of the Daily Mail.

IncessantNameChanger · 18/12/2022 09:36

Somebody published it. That's a bigger problem. Misogyny and racism would have no platform if people didn't publish it. It should be a hate crime. Sating you want to assault someone publicly surely is a hate crime.

Unless he was Harry exparner and MM lured him away taking the house, leaving children, then he is very unhinged. Sad man. I feel very sorry for him. He needs therapy. Or charging. Ideally both if this is true

Well he need to keep himself busy if he is telling the truth and really is up at night funding it difficult to sleep and grinding his teeth all while thinking about MM.

He actually comes across as deranged.

He is beyond contempt. He needs to be out of the press and off air. He doesn’t deserve a public voice. He may be going through some form of mental health illness or similar, then again he might just be utterly foul. He needs to publicly apologise to Meghan for this. It’s gone too far now. Im so angry and tired of mens’ hate and misogynistic behaviour toward women.
