And to add to that, why imply his SIL was not married for love but for convenience???
Doesn't seem to me that he cares much about his SILs feelings at all.

It’s not particularly revelatory to suggest that someone whose going to be king might consider of the woman they are dating would be any good/up for being a consort before they decide to marry them.
I’m sure it does play into it.
But it’s also not totally unique in that regard. Plenty of ‘whole life’ career/vocations you might (both) consider if that’s the life that would suit you and you want. If your boyfriend is in the army, you might well consider that!
The difference is that they can’t really escape their ‘job’. Even if they stop doing it, they can’t be an ordinary person ever.

His wife HASN'T criticised or spread rumour about Kate.

He DIDN'T imply that. He was clearly implying his FATHER didn't marry (first time) for love.

Late and Megan obviously didn’t hit it off at all for a whole host of predictable reasons. But again, it’s not really news. Loads of sister in laws dislike each other- or would if they were forced to work together, share staff, live on the same road etc.

I think most of the Royal marriages in the last century have at least started out being for love, even if as in many non Royal marriages, things went wrong down the line. We know more about what's happening now as people can and do get divorced. The exception here is probably Charles and Diana of course, at least on his side.

These vague comments they make are not really about other people IMO and more a way to try and shape opinion about themselves. I am sure it works for some people.

Meghan has a massive chip on her shoulder about Kate not doing enough to welcome her even though she had severe pregnancy sickness and two young children.
Meghan was offered Sophie's guidance but took it as a snub.
She wanted the whole SIL rivalry scene to be set up but Kate has always sensibly sidestepped that knowing about the Diana-Fergie headlines. It shows that Kate has good judgment. She wasn't going to spill all her secrets and inner thoughts to wiretapped Ms Hollywood as soon as they met. She has her own loyal friends and didn't need any of that. The more Meghan guns for her behind the smirks and doe eyed posing, the better Kate comes out looking. Meghan's flaws are Kate's best PR.

I think Meghan thinks she is better queen material than Kate because she is a famous actress whereas Kate was classed as a commoner.

He said “Royal men”. So as pp have said. Why would this not include William? And I think he and William may well have fallen out because William suggested he take things slower with Meghan so she could learn the ropes. That is my opinion. Other opinions are available but none is definitely the right one unless we hear it from those involved.

Meghan didn't expect anything, you are writing your own narrative.

Considering Kate allowed the narrative to run than Meghan made her cry, rather than the other way around, and did nothing to stop it, Kate doesn't look good at all. She caused some of the problem herself by throwing Meghan under the bus and make herself look good. Kate has gunned for Meghan, not the other way around. It's very clear Kate had a massive chip on her shoulder regarding Meghan. Jealousy is why, I suspect.

@IAmWomanHearMeRoar1 Meghan said it herself actually, it was her narrative or her truth on that day in any case! If you had an argument with a family member, would you both record whether or not you cried, what time you cried, what made you cry. Meghan is the type that would but Kate is the type who would send you flowers and try to move on.

Absolute rubbish. We also have no idea what the real truth is about who made whom cry. Kate has never put her side of the story.

Meghan reminds me of a schoolgirl who is bitching about a girl who wasn’t friendly enough. It’s at that level.

How do you know that Meghan didn't make Kate cry? You are running off Meghan's narrative on that one. Neither of them have actually said either way.

Here we have the great advocate for women's rights ribbing another woman whom she considers to be a prisoner inside a gilded cage, knowing that the imprisoned one cannot answer back. It is not a good look. I suppose you can get gobby prisoners but, no, not all of these things can be true all at once.

The problem here is pecking order. For both of them.

If I had to take bets I would bet W&K marriage will go the distance. They met at university and she's a commoner, they took their time to marry. Meghan and Harry it's like lust/limerance I hope it doesn't crash and burn. I get they had to get a move on because of Meghan's age but no I don't think just because they married quickly they are the most in love.

Why does he need to compare his marriage? W&K obviously love each other they met at university it's now a more mature love 20 years on so not lots of pda. I would bet they are less likely to divorce than H&M.

Harry is desperately competitive when it comes to William and
Meghan is desperately competitive when it comes to Kate.

Kate and William are king and queen bee. They did not sign up for any competition and try to ignore it and go higher.
Harry and Meghan know that keeping up a competition will keep them rich and relevant.

It sounds exhausting.

Except Kate or someone close to her created a rumour in the tabloids that Meghan made her cry, which caused people to think badly of Meghan. Kate either approved putting that lie out there or she did nothing to correct the record. And Kate is the one who gained from that lie being put out there. Which forced Meghan to have to say no actually it was the other way around, on OW. Because Kate and William would not correct the record.
