Unpopular Opinion - William and Kate

Don't come at me, I'm sharing my unpopular opinion because I want to know what you all think but just don't see a spark between William & Kate.

Loved them since the day they starting dating way back when they were undergrads at St Andrews but I just don't see their connection in pictures and it seems a little forced when she has her hand on his back or when they do hold hands.

I don't expect them to hold hands and snog because I know they're mostly photographed whilst they're working but he looks bored and she looks like she's trying her best.

Does anyone agree with me?

It's beautiful.

The other thing about William and Kate is we missed the early heady days of their romance because they were still at university and were protected from the press. There were some very sweet PDAs in the early years of their marriage.

But we’ve mainly seen them more recently 20 years and three kids into their relationship when they are carrying out work events.

They always seem very in tune with their body language and make each other smile.

I would say that’s a couple who are very content and happy with each other or the best actors in the world.

Should be OK, it's not as if that's a crowded market

Totally disagree. They often look at each other with real love and there is obviously a real connection between them. They’re doing a job on the world stage. Of course they aren’t clinging to each other all the time. Think about the Queen and PP.

Chuckling at this! The very idea that we need to see 'a romantic connection' between people doing a professional, official, constitutional job is hilarious. Two of the doctors at my practice are married but thankfully they keep the PDAs for home.

Please - spare us the soppy looks, hand-holding and general teenage romance stuff while on official duties...oh, and pass the sick-bag while you're at it! 😀🤑

I think they don't clutch on to each other in public. That's the problem.

This. Wandering around hand in hand and the Nancy Reagan School of Adoring Gazes (for those old enough to remember them) does not automatically mean a good relationship, especially after the first flush when it might be forgiven.

She shoves him around, pushes in front of him. Grabs microphones and awards. It's not loving.

I wonder what the self-appointed child psychologists on MN would have made of that if social media was a thing back then.

On the contrary. I see a couple so secure in their feelings for each other that they don't have to be publicly clutching at each other all the time to demonstrate what a great love story they are.

Haven't rtft, but they have always had a professional image when in public engagements.
When they are in less formal settings, they look really happy to me.

Catherine is such a stunning woman. I love her grace and how endlessly classy she is. And she has a lot of strength - I always think of the walk around when the Queen died, and there was obvious tension around the two couples, how she came out of the car like a boss.
