In preparation for the books release , and with permission from randompenguin , I thought it would be good to start this thread now !

before Meghan. Harry had this obsession with the media. He was so very unhappy

is he happy now? And please no one points to perfectly curated photos taken by his photographer.
to me hes someone who looks for fault in everything, just to proof how deeply wronged he is. That’s not very healthy and certainly not a thriving way of life.

queenofarles · 07/10/2022 09:45

Cross post SilverLiningPlaybook !
yes I agree ,it’s not Meghans fault.

SilverLiningPlaybook · 07/10/2022 09:47

I think his relationship with her has magnified a lot of his paranoia. Another woman would have been the voice of reason. She has ramped up all his worst characteristics because it suits her agenda. She never wanted to be in the RF from the off in my view. It was a staging point for her.

Ohnonevermind · 07/10/2022 09:49

I think Harry is largely happy spending time with his family, playing polo and he has a circle of friends there.

I think he misses the pomp and circumstance of the big stuff when he’s there as it is pretty cool and probably for a little time after but not on a daily basis.

The only stress in their lives is generating enough money to live the life they want - they’re in fickle Hollywood where you’re ‘hot and suddenly you’re not’ so they have to keep producing so that’s probably a bit of an adjustment

Ohnonevermind · 07/10/2022 09:49

There - mean back in the UK

queenofarles · 07/10/2022 10:01

I think in the beginning she was really trying to adjust, but living with someone as paranoid as Harry must have made it difficult ,
she had no one to turn to for guidance , not her family , not his.

She had plenty of people. Some specifically asked to help her . She just wouldn’t listen.

He’s in a very alien world though and his friends are all in the UK apart from his polo chum. I imagine it’s even easier to lose sight of what is normal in LA than it is in the RF.

Dinoteeth · 07/10/2022 10:17

Do his friends in the UK still talk to him? I thought it was rumored that Meghan had cut him off from them too?

SilverLiningPlaybook · 07/10/2022 10:20

Who knows? One of them was photographed ion a cycle ride wirh him in LA recently. So one at least is still in touch .

Ohnonevermind · 07/10/2022 10:23

I know he was close to Dean Stott, and he’s out there, he has his polo team. I’m sure he’s made friends. He seems a gregarious chap, (once he doesn’t spend all his time complaining 🤣)

Ohnonevermind · 07/10/2022 10:25

Being a royal, his world is different to ours (all his life) - he is used to meeting people from all walks of life, from all over the world - I’m sure his new book would address that

I went into Waterstones yesterday & they said they'd had people coming in asking about the book but the shop hadn't received any copies yet Confused

MarshaMelrose · 07/10/2022 11:52

It's on Amazon. Paperback is £9.34. Prime delivery tomorrow.

There's a you-tube going around which purports to be from an ex-nanny, tho not directly because of NDAs.

Claims that M & H never see the children without a nanny present, M favours Archie (because babies are boring) but lectures him on good manners. H is scared to interact with them at all.
Hard to believe about H, given how he used to be with W&K's kids.

Worrying about the kids future though, if its true

I love a bit of gossip Grin but I don't think I believe this. Harry was always so natural with children and young people. I just find that hard to believe.

GlorianaCervixia · 07/10/2022 12:58

I find it hard to believe as well. It sounds completely made up. As much as I find Harry and Meghan painful at times, I believe they love their children and spend time with them like any other parents.

Dinoteeth · 07/10/2022 13:02

I don't believe that rumour about them an the kids either.

Hmm - I’m finding it hard to believe any of this!

MissMarpleRocks · 07/10/2022 13:41

That sounds like a lot of made up guff to me. Don’t believe it for a minute.

I'm no fan of Harry and Meghan, but why on earth do people put any sort of credence into anonymous videos on YouTube? So it's 'purporting' to be from a nanny eh?

Anyone can be anyone on an anonymous forum. I could claim to be the long lost love child of Charles and Camilla on YouTube.

MarshaMelrose · 07/10/2022 14:35

What a load of tosh. I'm sure they have a nanny nearby because they work from home so can't be looking after the children at the same time but to suggest they don't parent them in any other than a loving and hands on way would be outrageous if it weren't so laughable.

Coucous · 07/10/2022 14:39

Some people will make up any horrible rumours. Harry is a complete natural with children/ babies - we've seen him in action. I don't believe any of it at all.

"worried for the children" - 🙄

BadgerB · 07/10/2022 14:55

I didn't say I believed it. But nor do I totally disbelieve it.

My mother worked for a titled family, prominent in royal circles, back in the 1940s. The children were brought to visit their parents each day for half an hour or so. If they were a nuisance, Nanny was called to take them back to the Nursery, if they hurt themselves they cried for "Nanny". But at least they had the same Nanny for years.

Yes, things have changed. At least, one must hope so
