On the one hand, grey is a mourning colour and it wasn't the funeral she was attending. On the other, there can be a trend among US politicians to limit or qualify the respect they give to other countries- and perhaps she isn't a supporter of monarchy in any country.

So what? She wasn't at the actual funeral, and even if she had been I wouldn't have turned a hair. Where I live people wear all colours to funerals.

Get a life. The Queen loved colour. Look how she dressed when alive.

I will make a request that when I die, I want my mourners to wear bright colours and to remember the good times and not to be sad. I find all of this wearing black for 10 days etc. very tiring.

In the USA gray and navy are acceptable colors for funerals if you are not close family members. Black is for family.
