I find it so disrespectful that when she went to see the Queen lying in state to make the conscious choice to wear GREY.

I doubt it was anything other than a difference in American culture. Muted colors to funerals but some people don’t even do that. And some think we should wear happy colors to “celebrate life.” So I wouldn’t draw any major conclusions! It wasn’t even the funeral.

I also never heard she cared about her title. In US most PhDs don’t insist on it unless they work in academia and plenty who have one actually roll their eyes at the title.

Get a life. The Queen loved colour. Look how she dressed when alive.

my thoughts too. I wore a red dress for my dads funeral

AIMummy · 19/09/2022 11:05

Can't wait until this circus is over 🙄.

W0tnow · 19/09/2022 11:11

Oops. What was that bit of paper that fluttered to the floor?

Twos0ups · 19/09/2022 11:22

What are these poor saps going to to when this circus is over?
Get a fucking life OP!

There are BLOKES in RED DRESSES at the funeral. I am fummin. I've smashed my tele up in respect.

SheWoreYellow · 19/09/2022 11:47

She’s wearing black. I saw her walking in. I think OP might have seen a photo of her arriving yesterday.

OP posted at 1am so of course she is posting about yesterday and not today!

I hear the Biden's.......HELD HANDS TOO 😱🙄

Most likely Meghan put her up to it, I’m sure H&M must be responsible for everything negative that ever occurs in the Royal Family.

Maybe Archie spilt Ribena on Jill Biden’s black dress as well Grin

As I remarked on another thread some time ago, Jill Biden has a look of Krystle Carrington about her.

I think holding JB's hand is her way of assisting him.

No.

She's always held his hand even when he was Vice President

LadyEloise1 · 19/09/2022 15:51

Oerhaps he needed assistance as VP too ? Smile

Roussette · 19/09/2022 16:01

Not sure why?
He was 67 when he first became VP.
I'm old and my DH even older and doesn't need his hand held to 'assist him' lol

They've always been tactile right back when he was just a Senator. Having lost a child and a wife in a car accident, and an adult son to a brain tumour, I imagine he and her just want to hold hands knowing how precious life is

Seriously. She looked great. And respectful I thought.

But each to their own.

Mumtobabyhavoc · 22/09/2022 22:01

Yes. Was going to post this. It has evolved that everyone is expected to wear/thinks they should wear black. But, yes, black is traditionally meant for family. I don't think it really matters much now; non-family in black shows thoughtfulness and respect anyway.

Itstarts · 22/09/2022 22:05

I agree OP. Totally disrespectful. I also noticed some of the clergy and choir wore RED!!!!!!!

And the pallbearers were in RED too!!!!!!!

Even Prince William wore BLUE!!!!
Anne had bloody coloured stripes down her leg! I actually don't know how I survived watching without fainting at the horror.

dutyfirstselfsecond · 22/09/2022 22:30

Prince George wore a blue suit

Disgusting
