I find it so disrespectful that when she went to see the Queen lying in state to make the conscious choice to wear GREY.

I don't. Her clothing was subdued and respectful. Who are you to dictate that people must wear black. Get over yourself !

Imsoworried · 19/09/2022 08:34

He should ask the uni accommodations office if anyone in halls on campus drops out, can he move into their accommodation. Apparently there’s quite a few people leave within the first two weeks.

1994girl · 19/09/2022 08:34

Oh get a fucking grip

carefullycourageous · 19/09/2022 08:37

Ask Truss to cancel the bilateral meeting, this is serious shit.

Wrong thread! In case you want to report in the right place

CallMeLinda · 19/09/2022 08:39

To the tower!
Why wouldn't it be OK?

TheWayOfTheWorld · 19/09/2022 08:40

Jadedandlost · 19/09/2022 08:30

Didn’t they wear trainers because they walked there?

They were mingling around outside, getting a feel for the queue etc. They changed into more formal outfits to go into the hall to view her coffin.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 19/09/2022 08:40

And I cannot get exercised about Jill Biden wearing dark grey

Mummyoflittledragon · 19/09/2022 08:43

Dark grey. Struggling to see anything wrong.

DogInATent · 19/09/2022 08:43

Is there a MailFail emoji?

LadyEloise1 · 19/09/2022 08:45

She has lovely hair.

Misses point of the thread. Smile

Skinterior · 19/09/2022 08:49

I'm just going to say it.

Her clothes are Hmm generally. Not that she even needs to be ultra glam, but certain sections of the press talk like she'd give Chanel a run for her money and she just wouldn't.

knittingaddict · 19/09/2022 08:49

Just googled the image. Having seen what she was wearing I think you need to get over yourself or stop posting stupid, provocative posts on sm. She looked perfectly appropriately dressed for the death of anyone, including a monarch. It was very dark grey, almost charcoal for those that haven't looked yet.

I wore green to my mum’s funeral!

I wore navy to my mum's, this year.

CallMeLinda · 19/09/2022 08:57

Given that some members of the public were in flip flops and tracksuits, this thread is nuts in so many ways!

Wheresmymoneytree · 19/09/2022 08:57

There’s two women in the church wearing purple/pink/red!

EdieLedwell · 19/09/2022 09:03

It's a very dark grey, I thought it appropriate 🤷‍♀️

TrufflesForBreakfast · 19/09/2022 09:09

I really can't wait for this pantomime to be over 🙄

Hotandbothereds · 19/09/2022 09:14

Oh honestly 🙄

One thought that crossed my mind though is nobody really did have long to find what they were going to wear, I guess if you’re a royal/head of state you must have these formal outfits ready to go?

Easier for the men all in suits, but especially the royal women must’ve had a change of black dress ever day since last week - virtually a whole wardrobe of somber outside.

MarmadukeSpillageEsquire · 19/09/2022 09:16

Cheers kid's crying now

Double0FeckingBollocks · 19/09/2022 09:17

Go home Daily Mail reporter. You're drunk.

Homewardbound2022 · 19/09/2022 08:04

You mean DOCTOR Jill Biden!
She is very touchy about this.

Ah so now it’s “touchy” to want to be called by your correct title. Do you feel like that about men too or is this good old fashioned internalised mysoginy?

RaRaRaspoutine · 19/09/2022 09:25

loooooool

Jconnais1chansonquivavsenerver · 19/09/2022 09:25

Shock! Horror! Probe!

MrsSkylerWhite · 19/09/2022 09:28

Members of the public, queuing for hours on end, were wearing jeans/shorts/flip flops etc. were they disrespectful too?

I believe in the US lots of people wear white to funerals (happy to be corrected).

who cares? Respects were paid, that’s all that matters.
