Do Camilla and Charles live separately?

EdieLedwell · 15/09/2022 17:29

She was dropped off in Wiltshire. I was surprised they didn't stay together today.

I'm not hating btw just genuinely curious and I kind of admire her for creating her own space if
It's true.

ALSO, because it's driving me crazy, did Anne and Tim separate briefly back in the nougties?

I'm sure I remember it being announced on Sky, but it was never mentioned again and he seemed to continue accompanying her to Royal engagements.

Mike Tindall is not working class
Michael James Tindall was born 18 October 1978 at Wharfedale Hospital in Otley, West Yorkshire, the son of Philip "Phil" Tindall, a banker for Barclays,[2] and Linda (née Shepherd), a social worker.[3] Tindall's maternal ancestors include bootmakers, stonemasons and weavers; his paternal great-grandfather, Arthur Sutcliffe Tindall, was a blacksmith, the grandson of William Tindall, a landowner farming 105 acres at Fairburn, North Yorkshire.[4][5][6]
Tindall was educated at the private school Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield, while his father captained Otley Rugby Union Football Club.[7][8]
From Wiki

I’d love to see your definition of working class then!
landowner means nothing, farmers own a lot of land, especially around Otley / Harrogate.
QEGS is not hard to get into, many many many scholarship students

Helena Bonham Carter had/has a town house next door to her ex partner Tim Burton. I think it had an adjoining door. Great idea.

SilverLiningPlaybook · 15/09/2022 20:22

They split up ages ago.

Bouledeneige · 15/09/2022 20:22

Aristos famously produced an heir and spare and then were allowed to carry on - on both sides - with other interests. The Royal Family are part of that class (though their pinnacle) and mostly accommodate blind eye relationships to avoid diluting the estate and titles.

NippyWoowoo · 15/09/2022 20:23

I find it fascinating that even though they have a sprawling property it's still not big enough for her to get the space she needs 😂 good for her

FairyHannie · 15/09/2022 20:23

I'm sure I remember a split was announced between Anne and Tim? Or maybe it was rumour / inside info!

Two separate houses sounds bloody bliss, can just see her walking in after after getting of helicopter, sticking her sweats on and putting her feet up with a fag and dogs all round her !

You mean aside from being a home wrecker?!?

Oh and before you say "That was years ago" - People don't change!
Not that I'm comparing 'crimes' here but if you had a predator applying for parole on the grounds of "That was years ago" I really don't think they'd be all that successful to be honest..

Diana had affairs, Charles had one.

PotatoHammock · 15/09/2022 20:30

When we only had one child we had a spare room- it felt like a boutique hotel in the middle of a grunty, snorey, farty night.

  1. I would give my back teeth for a full on country mansion all of my own.

  2. I miss having a spare room. Sigh.

Yeh, I'm another one who remembers Anne and Tim separated but either they got back together or he is still her spouse and they tolerate each other ??

I can't find evidence of this at all.
When was it announced?

onlythreenow · 15/09/2022 20:31

I think Anne & Tim look like a great, solid couple - he has been brilliant all week. It's really not necessary to cuddle & slobber all over each other in public, whether or not you're royal.

Exactly this! Honestly, what a lot of ridiculous rubbish some posters seem to believe. Can you really not see that just because other people don't behave the way you do it doesn't mean their marriages are on the rocks, or that they are having mulitple affairs! I despair of people sometimes.

Diana had affairs, Charles had one.

Why do people come out with this "But Diana had affairs too!" thing? Diana only started having affairs after she found out about Camilla and their relationship was dead in the water at that point.

Rewis · 15/09/2022 20:32

Make sense for a couple that officially start dating and get married when they are older and have no children together. I bet its nice for Camilla to have her "commoner" kids and grandkids in somewhere that is not the royal residence. A lot more relaxed.

Toddlerteaplease · 15/09/2022 20:32

Prince Phillip retired to Wood Farm at Sandringham. (Where Prince John lived until his death in 1919) He came back to Windsor to bubble with the Queen during covid.

CaptainCorellisBagpipes · 15/09/2022 20:33

@ancientgran You said "Diana had affairs, Charles had one."

Yup.
And his lasted from the time her met her all through the marriage. And he admitted that in the David Dimbleby interview.

Di started the 'tit for tat' when she realised that her marriage was a sham and that he had never really loved her because his heart was elsewhere.

greenhousegal · 15/09/2022 20:34

The bed hopping and dallying around should be known as an EMR. Affair sounds so harmless but can be far from it.

Extra Marital Relationship. So there!

Well if you can prove when their affairs started you might have a point. I don't think Diana definitely knew, she got things wrong like accusing the nanny of having an affair with Charles and an abortion. That was a vile thing to do without proof in public. Definitely not a saint.

Obviously Diana fans will never see that.

It's an open secret that Anne still hangs around with her former old flame, Andrew Parker Bowles, maybe as a friend or maybe more.

I get annoyed at all the vitriol (here ) about Camilla because Anne had two affairs when she was married to Mark, one was her body guard and the next was TL.

At least Charles only had eyes for one other woman!

Mike Tindall went to public school and his father is a banker. Middle class

antelopevalley · 15/09/2022 20:36

I wonder why anyone would marry if you do not want to live with each other.
If DP and I had separate houses we would just spend all of our time at one of them.
And the Royals hardly live in a two up and two down. Many live in 80 to 120 room homes. Very easy to get away from each other in one house.

greenhousegal · 15/09/2022 20:38

Anne was never the heir to the throne, so didn't have to supply an heir and spare to continue the hereditary line and preserve the monarchy. Charles was, and true to form once the line was guaranteed, he basically did what he wanted. His job was done.

vera99 · 15/09/2022 20:38

So by the aristo logic being accepted here, Kate needs to accept William straying at some point and if he does should have her own irons in the fire.

He didn't say that, he actually admitted infidelity, but said he only rekindled his romance with Camilla, then Parker-Bowles, when his own marriage to Diana had broken down “irretrievably”.

greenhousegal · 15/09/2022 20:40

It's more probable than possible @vera99 The line is preserved once again!

greenhousegal · 15/09/2022 20:42

What if George turns out to be gay, would he need an heir by surrogacy? Oh the questions.....

According to gossip at some point has already happened
