Do Camilla and Charles live separately?

She was dropped off in Wiltshire. I was surprised they didn't stay together today.

I'm not hating btw just genuinely curious and I kind of admire her for creating her own space if
It's true.

ALSO, because it's driving me crazy, did Anne and Tim separate briefly back in the nougties?

I'm sure I remember it being announced on Sky, but it was never mentioned again and he seemed to continue accompanying her to Royal engagements.

Living Apart Together. It's what all us cool kids are doing! (I'm 51, my boyfriend who's a Grandpa is 57; this lifestyle suits us well.)

I've read that William & Kate are moving to Windsor Castle at some point.

Thought that that was the monarch's official country residence!

They're not moving to Windsor Castle, it's Adelaide Cottage next to Windsor Castle.

I read that Charles doesn't like castles remaining empty as it doesn't look good and W&K will be moving into it soon enough.

Re C&C living apart, to me that is a recipe for a successful partnership as opposed to a happy marriage (whatever that is) tbh. I'd do it if I could afford to.

If I was married to Charles I’d want a separate house. He seems to have a short fuse and I think Camilla is looking rather frail and almost cowed. Did you see the expression on her face when he had the strop about removing the pen holder or inkwell on the table at the 1st signing? I know people will say he’s under immense strain and grieving (which he is of course) but I didn’t like what I saw.

Camilla always seemed a strong and capable sort but I was quite concerned for her health when she was stood behind the Queen’s coffin in the place she’s lying in state. She’s 75 and this must be an incredible moment in her life. I hope she’s sitting in a darkened room, feet in a bowl of Epsom Salts with a fag in one hand and a gin in the other. And I hope Charles is having some peace too before his trip to Wales tomorrow, I bet whoever is in charge of the Welsh signing is having a sleepless night testing the pens to ensure no fxxk ups and making sure they’ve got an extra-large desk. Everyone will be on tenterhooks!

FairyHannie · 15/09/2022 21:32

They've already moved to Adelaide cottage, now the Queen has died it is predicted they will move to Windsor.
It's always been the plan apparently, hence no need for all the re-decoration / building work that normally goes on before a royal house move. It's just happened way quicker than they expected.

Barkcloth · 15/09/2022 21:34

A slight tangent, but does anyone (equally ancient as me) remember a sitcom called 'My Wife Next Door' from the early 70s?

derxa · 15/09/2022 21:38

Mr derxa and I have separate homes in a sense. I'm at the farm and we have house together too. I spend good chunks of time at each. It's delightful to spend time together. I'm sure the village gossips have a field day.

@Arbesque You are entitled to your opinion of course. However, it's not as hal-baked as you seem to think.
Even without the rumours you think are being spread, look at how PA looks in the presence of TL and compare with her sheer delight at being with APB - plenty of photos online.

Anne evidently wanted to divorce T years ago and the Queen wouldnt allow a 2nd divorce.

I didn't pick this up through the press but through people who know them.

Z

If that's the case I presume you were told in confidence so why spread it all over the Internet?

Or, more likely, you were told by a friend of a cousin of a neighbour of Tim Lawrence's milkman dentist.

dottypencilcase · 15/09/2022 21:42

To those reacting in absolute disgust at the thought of PP having affairs and special 'lady friends' and denying it outright- why? Were you one of his close confidants? Of course he had several affairs (I know someone linked to the RF) and rumour(s) or not, there's no smoke without fire. People in the aristocracy are known to have affairs/mistresses and for their wives (especially of the Queen's generation) to tolerate it.

Prince William has also had well known affairs. Just because you may like him/be a monarchist, doesn't make the fact any less truer.

What we'll known and proven affairs 🤔

I thought this too. I think he'd be incredibly difficult to live with. When he stropped about the pen (the 2nd strop), she looked really apprehensive. When he visited NI he pushed past her to say hello first, he walked straight in front of her. I imagine she's told what to do/say/stand ALL the time and I hope she's sitting at home now having a good chinwag with her family giving them all the gossip about the royals, with her feet up and gin in hand!

I used to work in Wiltshire and got lost in the days before Satnav. I was driving down a long country lane and came to the most beautiful picturesque place with a lovely river and a bridge not far from Lacock Abbey where some of Harry Potter was filmed. I remember stopping the car to look around and because it was so scenic I noted the name Reybridge. I never thought of it again until years later I heard Camilla had bought her house there. Really pretty hamlet - she has excellent taste.

blockpavingismynightmare · 15/09/2022 21:51

These people who see the Royals through rose tinted glasses and refuse to believe they are in any way human make me laugh.
All the shit that went on between Harry and William.. made to look as if Meghan was the cause.. part of the fallout was caused by Harry's disgust at William's affairs.

William has affairs. He is not decent by any means

And you have the inside info on this do you aye! 🤣

Dinoteeth · 15/09/2022 21:55

Not really interested in rumours of affairs but did Charles not buy Highgrove to be near Camilla?

If having separate pads works for them then why not?

Why would Harry go no contact with his own brother over an affair? 🤔

PastMyBestBeforeDate · 15/09/2022 21:57

@Floralei I take it that snide little dig was meant for me?

CaptainBarbosa · 15/09/2022 21:57

It's not that I am seeing the royal family through rose tinted glasses at all.

But I generally air on the side of calling/accusing people of adultery without any hard facts.

I wouldn't do it the post man, my 2nd cousin or a member of the royal family.

I just don't see the point in gossiping about something I know absolutely nothing about.

FayeGovan · 15/09/2022 21:58

Isnt it rumoured sleazy Andrew was the Queens favourite because of his dad?

FairyHannie · 15/09/2022 21:59

Because he saw what it did to his mum? History repeating itself? Heir to throne gets married, has a heir then has an affair?

FayeGovan · 15/09/2022 22:00

And harry genuinely liked kate

justasking111 · 15/09/2022 22:02

All the family gossip. I'd sure be twitchy about Harry's forthcoming book

Gosh you must give us all this verified information. I mean I assume you wouldn't do something as nasty and damaging as imply, across the World Wide Web which even their children can read someday, that someone you don't know is having an affair?

That would be pretty irresponsible and reprehensible don't you agree?

Yet another lovely specimen of humankind. Is your nose tired from all that busy twitching?

If I was Camilla I would be getting a bit twitchy. Charles' last two serious lady friends ended up with mental health issues and then dead prematurely.
I refer to Lady Dale Tryon (Kanga) and Lady Di.

Hmmm..
