I've had a look on flight radar but can't see the Queen's flight. Does anyone know?

I'm not at all interested in gardening, gins, online gaming, watching soaps, obsessive cleaning, but this is something I am! Call it a 'hobby' if anyone needs to understand why 😂

Janesdufflecoat · 13/09/2022 19:29

We tracked it & then it dropped 6000 ft as it went over Buckingham, headed outside & there it was! ✈️❤️

PatsyJStone · 13/09/2022 19:42

Better view than me as mine was at 23k feet. Still someone else put a picture on fb so I know there were two of us watching in the village 😂

The country has lost the plot!!

Why on earth would you want to do this?!

I honestly despair. A women interviewed on the radio earlier, had woken her kids up in the middle of the night, taken them both to see the coffin before dropping them both at school.
The presenter asked the youngest what it had meant to her and her reply? 'I don't know, I didn't really know her'
Finally someone talking sense!

I agree with this. I don't understand all these people queuing overnight and tracking the coffin

ihatesoaps · 13/09/2022 20:53

I tracked it

TheCanyon · 13/09/2022 21:09

I was tracking it as quite frankly, I'm a nosey bastard.

All London - Edinburgh flights fly over our house several times a day, today, nope, was a bit bizarre to see it head West instead.

Why on earth would you track this flight ??

Why would anyone watch 22 sweaty men run round after a ball. The answer is because they want to.

Then why come on a thread about it? Just go about your business and not annoy others with your astonishment that others want to do things you do not.

Please don't tell me to be quiet. You do realise that freedom of speech is allowed?

And my god I felt embarrassed for the parents of the girl speaking on the radio. Thank goodness she had a grip on reality.

I absolutely hate everything the royal family stand for and unlike many of the 'grief tourists' out there, my principles will not change, whatever the circumstances.

I'm absolutely sickened to read that so many peoples funerals have been cancelled on Monday.
Why should the Queen’s life be anymore important than anyone else who was due to be laid to rest on the 19th?

@crosbystillsandmash

its a shame you don't understand that 'freedom of speech' doesn't mean you have to verbalise everything in your head & don't understand that 'respect' & 'time & place' are important too.

'Freedom of speech' isn't the right to abuse people or be rude to them.

it is not a 'principle' to hate the royal family.

it's not compulsory to open every thread to remind people how much you hate 'the royal family'

people tracking the flight has zero to do with funerals on Monday.

(funerals are largely being cancelled by families who would prefer not to have theirs the same day, the odd one being cancelled by funeral directors/crematoriums is their personal/business decision, NOT because they have to, so you can hardly blame the RF)

Pugdogmom · 14/09/2022 07:23

That was it leaving Edinburgh. Someone else tracked it,not me

Can I track the flight?
ShaunaTheSheep · 14/09/2022 07:31

Ah, glad to find all the flight trackers. I've tracked a few over the last few days, it's interesting, and comforting in an odd way. Yes, you can see take off and landing on the TV, but good to know the flight path and safe passage.
Someone up high must've twigged about the popularity of Flight Radar and suggested the slightly convoluted route south, perhaps after the criticism of not using the royal train as originally planned.

sashagabadon · 14/09/2022 07:33

We tracked it on flight radar as we wanted to know when it landed to time our journey to a40 to watch the hearse go by. Plan worked perfectly

Farmerazza · 14/09/2022 16:19

Why would you want to do that? There is an official Norad Santa tracker version for this.

crosbystillsandmash · 14/09/2022 16:44

@TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination

Believe me I've wanted to say so much on all the many many repetitive often pointless threads about the queens death.
I've actually said very little, so please don't make such a ridiculous comment 🙄
You sound very irate? Am I not allowed to have a different opinion to you?

And how exactly do you know the details of which funerals have been cancelled (and the reasons why?)
Absolute nonsense.

crosbystillsandmash · 14/09/2022 17:17

@TooMuchToDoTooLittleInclination
Are you a fan of the royals then?
If so do you not see the absolute irony of you insinuating I'm being abusive?
Prince Andrew.....
