I've had a look on flight radar but can't see the Queen's flight. Does anyone know?

The country has lost the plot!!

Why on earth would you want to do this?!

I honestly despair. A women interviewed on the radio earlier, had woken her kids up in the middle of the night, taken them both to see the coffin before dropping them both at school.
The presenter asked the youngest what it had meant to her and her reply? 'I don't know, I didn't really know her'
Finally someone talking sense!

🙊

Turned a bit further east, towards Daventry/Northampton

Looks as if it might be deliberately overflying cities

I wanted to see if it was going to fly over my house. Missed it by about 10 miles 🙁

It's taking such a strange route it may yet do so!

Fuuuuuckit · 13/09/2022 18:40

Flightradar has crashed!

purplepaintedpineapple · 13/09/2022 18:41

Just going over Buckingham - it is zig zagging a bit

SpinCityBlues · 13/09/2022 18:43

Far from a straight line then! I was going on the Flight Radar predicted flight path - 'pretty much' in a straight line, but far from it in reality.

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 18:44

FlightRadar still up for me

it's heading due south at the moment, nearly at eastern fringes of Thame

MrsPelligrinoPetrichor · 13/09/2022 18:46

Yes you can, it's over Princess Risborough at the moment

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 18:48

Beginning to turn east again

Looks set to cross the Thames just S of Marlow

crosbystillsandmash · 13/09/2022 18:48

@toomuchlaundry

Aww but Santa brings so much joy, of course people want to track him!!

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 18:49

Now heading east, over northern outskirts of Maidenhead

Sahgah · 13/09/2022 18:49

I only live 5mins from Northholt. I was hoping to be able to see it in the sky but the weather is terrible, no chance to see it.

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 18:50

Looks like they've suspended flights in and out of Heathrow - lots of planes on the ground but no sign of normal arrivals and departures

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 18:52

Final (?) turn, to go over Uxbridge and Hillingdon to Northolt

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 18:53

All other flights have vanished off FlightRadar

I tracked it, saw it flying over, of course it was a bit distant. the site was just busy, could see all other planes too.

MooseBeTimeForSnow · 13/09/2022 18:58

No pressure on that pilot bringing her in, with millions watching.

PatsyJStone · 13/09/2022 19:00

And the plane was pretty much bang at 23000 feet for the majority of the journey! One point where he dropped 23 feet but otherwise I was very impressed.

SquirmOfEels · 13/09/2022 19:08

Other flights were showing most of the time - which is how I saw that movements in and out of Heathrow had been suspended. They vanished (for me at least) just for the final couple of minutes

wellobviouslyyoucan · 13/09/2022 19:21

Not trying to be awkward, but what's the point of tracking it?

If you are interested then the news will show when it arrives!

I'm interested in aviation, I track lots of flights.

It was due to fly over us so I was going to go and look, in the end it didn't.

PatsyJStone · 13/09/2022 19:24

As others have said, not just this plane. I enjoy looking up and seeing a plane, knowing where it came from and where it's going. Just a personal interest, I can tell how high a plane is by the sound now, obviously not the 35000 feet ones! I've always been interested in distance, miles, journeys, tracking planes is just another way now we have these services available and free!
Whenever I am landing I try to see where we live as many planes do fly over but I've not mastered that yet.
