I hope Camilla has changed into some flats!

I’m very glad they’ve banned phones when visiting the Queen lying in state. Wish they’d put the bloody things down.

Absolutely. Good call from the Earl Marshall, the Duke of Norfolk.

toomuchlaundry · 12/09/2022 15:11

Do you think they will have the same flowers all the way through?

HappyHamsters · 12/09/2022 15:11

Saucery · 12/09/2022 15:05

God, I can’t watch an animal in that much distress any longer Sad

Me neither, its clearly agitated and has a sore mouth. I hope they take it away somewhere quiet soon and remove its bridle.

stillherenow · 12/09/2022 15:11

Oh crap here comes more manoeuvring of the coffin!

Phones would never, ever be allowed at that. Anyone even thinking about trying will be dealt with.

toomuchlaundry · 12/09/2022 15:12

I couldn't even walk sideways in time never mind then have to lift a coffin

stillherenow · 12/09/2022 15:09

Oh the ceremony of it, even collecting up the headdresses.

I imagine they will refresh them as required. Maybe they brought a lot with them from Balmoral to remake them. I would think in London she will have flowers from the estates down there.

JamMakingWannaBe · 12/09/2022 15:14

I thought the protester was a woman in a purple jacket and to me it sounded like she shouted, "Andrew - you're just a peadophile"

ApolloandDaphne · 12/09/2022 15:15

The look of concentration on their faces!

LIZS · 12/09/2022 15:16

@bellac11 I was only responding to complaints about inane commentary further down! Red button is indeed running a no commentary option with the background noise muting would lose.

toomuchlaundry · 12/09/2022 15:16

Bypassing the steps!

Oopsilot · 12/09/2022 15:16

For an awful moment I thought they were going up the steps.

toomuchlaundry · 12/09/2022 15:16

The chap leading them looks so young!

bellac11 · 12/09/2022 15:16

Couldnt they have parked the car near the access to the cathedral

SuperCamp · 12/09/2022 15:10

Until you get to Anne, so many men.

I would have liked to see her escort include her ladies in waiting. Or some female soldiers. In the hands and care of some women.

There will likely be more women in the procession for the funeral. This one is just the people from her Edinburgh household.

I don’t think it’ll include her ladies in waiting though - the youngest one is 79 years old.

ApolloandDaphne · 12/09/2022 15:17

Whoops man at back nearly went down the steps!

HappyHamsters · 12/09/2022 15:17

I never knew the Unicorn was the national animal of Scotland, hence the name of her death I guess.

bellac11 · 12/09/2022 15:17

OMG I thought the bloke behind was going to fall off the step

Chumbazumba · 12/09/2022 15:18

Have I suddenly gone deaf or has James Naughtie finally shut up?

LIZS · 12/09/2022 15:18

I guess the pallbearers can't see around the front easily

bellac11 · 12/09/2022 15:18

Its from the Stuart dynasty, I learned that at Stirling Castle

Bypassing the steps!

Yes, I was a little concerned about them attempting the steps

Chumbazumba · 12/09/2022 15:19

I would not begrudge them a ceremonial ramp at times like these.
