Do you think that they knew that the Queen was about to die last week? It seems that they probably did on the actual day because there was some decline and Charles and Anne hurried to be with her. But they were both in Scotland at the time so reasonable handy.

But the rest of the family were not there and didn’t make it there until after her death. But maybe that was the plan so that she could die quietly and only Charles and Anne would be present, so that it didn’t draw attention and turn into a media circus.

I know it doesn’t matter, but I just wondered if it was a carefully crafted plan to give the Queen some peace at the end, or if it actually came as a bit of a surprise last week?

I agree with Freckles - if you “have a fall” there is nothing external to cause it - often just trying to stand up from a chair, or get out of bed, or walk along something completely flat.

“Falling over” can happen to anyone if there is something to trip over or misjudge.

In that case many of us who are clumsy have been "having a fall" regularly ever since we learned to walk, so the odd way in which this phrase seems to be applied almost exclusively to older people still makes no rational sense.

They knew she was frail, it wasn't hard to see, but the actual end was very sudden, heart attack, stroke or something.

If she'd been on her death bed they wouldn't wasn't have dragged her up to meet Lis Truss.

Ann was there, but Charles wasn't exactly handy. Wednesday night he was 3 and half hours away by road at Dumfries House, in South West Scotland, Balmoral Castle is in the North East. He got a helicopter back north.

Google maps says 3.5 hours I'd have thought it was a longer drive than that.

He was never going to be going by car. 🤣

She may have simply died in her sleep and was found in the morning by Anne or staff member. At any rate, I agree with those who describe it as a good death. ❤🌿✝️

There is is a thing called senile purpura, that causes bruising to forearms and backs of hands, caused by sun damage over many years weakening the small blood vessels in the skin, it is fairly common, ....

I'm 72, in excellent health, but my hands photograph dark purple. I was shocked when I first noticed it and now find clever ways to hide my hands in photos. 😆
