Loving the fact that it's killing the Mail they didn't get a scoop.

Nice low key private visit to see HM and Prince Charles.

Well played.

'As to the Warrior Games, given the conniptions participation in Halloween gets, just imagine the bosom hoiking over getting onboard with an American event.'

Oh please don't lump disabled veterans in with Halloween.

There was an existing event for disabled vets, he could've worked with them but he wanted this to be about him.

I'm not sniffy about Netflix at all, we have it! Rather his assertions that cameras and clicks 'trigger him' yet he's never without a crew now is he. Granted, he needs to earn his Netlfix wages but as always with him it reeks of hypocrisy

Frankie4me · 17/04/2022 09:05

Wasn’t the Warrior games a US only event? And Harry ( or his team) had the idea to make it an international event.

AngelicaElizaAndPeggy · 17/04/2022 09:06

This thread sums up so much of what is tragic about post Brexit Britain:

Harry's games will be shite because ...Harry! Meghan! (Paraphrased)

Ok, admittedly Harry's games are not shite but he should still abandon them because of reasons!

Harry is making a film about invictus with Netflix arghhhhh! (Probs watch Netflix every night)

This one takes the real biscuit:
I'm not racist - I even fancy Idris Elba!

100problems · 17/04/2022 09:07

Well, I didn't, did I? You understood the analogy perfectly well, I think.

@PAFMO I couldn't agree more. I think the event is absolutely wonderful and I wish it every success.

100problems · 17/04/2022 09:09

@AngelicaElizaAndPeggy well put.

Yes the Warrior Games. I didn't think we needed our own very special Harry version did we

FFS you're just knocking an injured vets Foundation now. It's hugely popular, just stop.

@AngelicaElizaAndPeggy
You've nailed it there.

What's concerning to me is...I can see how much some posters are restraining themselves in their postings, clever enough to keep within talk guidelines

MissMarpleRocks · 17/04/2022 09:16

I’m not H&M huge fans (in my culture you respect your elders) but how can they be criticised for the IG?

Whether or not they bring a Netflix crew, surely the IG games can only be applauded. And imo bringing a crew will hopefully highlight it more.

Also they have to earn Money somehow so I can’t see how we can criticise for this at all.

Good luck to them, they seem happy together & that’s all anyone can really hope for in life.

Pbbananabagel · 17/04/2022 09:25

I thought this was a thread about mystery shopping in H&M

100problems · 17/04/2022 09:27

A common mistake @Pbbananabagel

The orange dress featured on the H&M website it not anywhere near as nice in real life.

It's surprised some of us for years how they keep getting away with it. HQ are well aware though.
SpinningMeSoftly · 17/04/2022 11:14

The Daily Mail / Mail Online reporting this in such an obviously manipulative manner it's probably visible from space. (And it IS predominantly the Mail with a bee up its arse about her.)

The stuff about the 'jubilee circus' is typical. Well, what we at the Mail are going to do is turn the jubilee into a circus ourselves through sheer weight of media presence, and blame Megan for making us take thousands of photographs of her and the children and creating a jubilee circus and really really blame her for MAKING US BEHAVE LIKE THIS.

I imagine the war between the Mail and the House of Sussex is far from over. How H&M pull the plug on this mutual loathing, I do not know.

It's a shame because the Mail currently is hosting some really decent journalists and journalism and then the editor signs off on this vituperative shit. This is not the Mail reporting and reflecting the news - this is the Mail trying to affect it, treating the RF like Dynasty and pretending that's Megan's fault.

And I do not wish to be distracted from the Mummy Loves Noncey scandal; or the Government's moral failings. I want to stay focused on the real villians in the UK.

lemmein · 17/04/2022 11:15

These threads always bring out the thickos who just regurgitate bile from the Daily Mail. Tragic really - and gives an insight of why, as a country, we are in such a mess. A large proportion of the public are just incapable of independent, critical thought.

ajandjjmum · 17/04/2022 14:01

@Roussette

It’s more notable that H&M don’t publicly criticise him. There was nothing critical about him in the Oprah interview. Nothing he has done has personally affected them, I suppose

You think they should be talking about Andrew? ShockShockShock
Or am I reading your post wrong?

They are very very sensible to make NO comment about him

In the same way it might have been sensible to make 'no comment' regarding other relationships within the RF, rather than do a Oprah tell all?

I have read (no source available!) that Andrew was the only member of 'the family' that spent time with Harry when he returned from the funeral, as he understood what it is like to be on the receiving end of critical press coverage.

I hope the Invictus Games goes well.

Roussette · 17/04/2022 14:21

Rather different I would've thought

Rinoachicken · 20/04/2022 08:53

So, referring to the Queen, Harry has now told NBC news that “I'm just making sure she's protected and got the right people around her”.

Not really sure how to read that. Pretty sure the Queen is THE most protected person in the country, and also pretty confident that the people she has around her and working with her are exactly who she wants to be there. She’s never been afraid to fire someone who wasn’t the right fit for her, and being in someone else.

What if he didn’t like who she ‘had around her’?

All sounds abit…like he wanted to make sure who has the queens ear and whether they were ‘onside’ with him or not.

Rinoachicken · 20/04/2022 08:53

Sorry, link here: Prince Harry says he is making sure the Queen is protected www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61157345

He is just so arrogant isn't he. So he sees the Queen and you kind of hope he's shown some humility but then he drops a clanger like this.
His happy new life seems so very dependent on getting in passive aggressive attacks on his family.

Aspiringmatriarch · 20/04/2022 09:45

I think he has his views on the people around her, which he alluded to in the Oprah interview. Whether he's right or not is debatable. I think the Queen is protected but there are certainly examples of dodgy practices going on within 'the firm'. Harry perhaps sees his grandmother through rose tinted spectacles, especially now she's so elderly.
He never holds back does he. 😁

Roussette · 20/04/2022 10:11

I heard this this morning, and thought it was really funny, mostly because I knew what the outrage would probably be on here.

FWIW I think it was a daft thing to say!

Perhaps he's suggesting she ought to see less of the favourite son Andrew!

Badger1970 · 20/04/2022 10:29

He and Meghan need to leave the past behind them.

Move on, for all our sakes.

meercat23 · 20/04/2022 10:30

I actually 'read' that comment a bit differently. I didn't think he was saying that it was him that would insure she was OK and surrounded by the right people but just that he wanted to check that she was OK etc. I guess it will become clearer when all of the details of the interview emerge and context etc becomes clear. For what it is worth I think he might have been better to just stop at, 'It was great to see her' or whatever his exact words were. The more detail he includes the more open to criticism he will be.

Lockupyourbiscuits · 20/04/2022 10:30

Or God forbid more !

for someone with very strong opinions and not afraid to voice them it’s a bit strange Harry has never criticised uncle Andrew ! A man who behaved disgracefully -enabling and maintaining a relationship with the despicable Epstein ( that is a proven fact)
unless he is the royal racist after all!!

SpinningMeSoftly · 20/04/2022 10:33

Well the person currently around her the most is Noncey so I'm hoping that Harry means him. But the guessing games are going to become tiresome.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 20/04/2022 12:41

FWIW I think it was a daft thing to say!

Yes, it was - and such a shame he chose to say it while the games are on

I'd hoped he'd avoid this kind of thing at least for now, but it appears he simply can't help himself
