@LolaLouLou totally agree I also found it offensive that they said having one child makes you parents and only when you have a second do you become a family
It's a really odd statement, I think it's finding something to say when nothing was really necessary.

Lovely picture

StFrancisdeCompostela · 23/12/2021 20:32

It’s a lovely photo. They look so relaxed and happy. Archie’s hair is absolutely gorgeous Smile

StFrancisdeCompostela · 23/12/2021 20:40

@LadyPerseverance

Only just noticed the comment about giving to charity on ‘your behalf’. That’s a bit patronising! I have my own charities that i donate to, I don’t need anyone donating on my behalf thank you very much. It would have been better for them to tie their familial happiness with the need to help other families in need by donating a sum to so and so and then promoting the chosen charities.

Still it’s lovely to see them all looking so happy. But what’s with all these summer photos for Christmas cards. I want winter wonderlands 😆

Unless you’re an actual recipient of the card, they’re not saying they donated on ‘your’ behalf. It’s on behalf of the people who received the card. Just like I send a card to my sibling and his family letting them know I had made a donation on their behalf to oxfam this year.
DrWhoNowww · 23/12/2021 20:41

Yuk at Harry’s feet - with the amount of photoshop on this picture you would think they could photoshop some shoes on him.

I really wish they’d stop making digs about how 2 children makes a family, incredibly insensitive to keep repeating this comment.

Otherwise it’s generally cute but I don’t get the point? Maybe it’s an American thing but do other wealthy Americans publish their holiday cards? Have I missed the one from the kardashians?

I mean send them definitely - I’m sure the family would love a card like this but why does it need to be made public?

KloppKrazy · 23/12/2021 20:42

The donations are on whose behalf?

KloppKrazy · 23/12/2021 20:44

The bare feet / down among the chickens vibe is funny from these two.😂

Awww. They're trying to show that they're down-home folks, just like us.
KloppKrazy · 23/12/2021 20:50

Yeah, cute.

CathyorClaire · 23/12/2021 20:55

Cute photo although Harry's hooves didn't need to feature (even in a minor supporting role) yet again.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 23/12/2021 20:58

Maybe those Netflix and Spotify deals aren't paying enough for Harry to buy shoes.

CathyorClaire · 23/12/2021 21:07

Or jeans...

EssexLioness · 23/12/2021 21:08

Cute pic but I feel like Archie has been sidelined a bit in this pic (and that comment). Both parents are gazing so dotingly at Lillibet, whereas Archie has no acknowledgement. I am sure he is not sidelined in real life but the body language on this makes me feel really sad

MrsBungle · 23/12/2021 21:13

The children look very cute. It’s a nice photo although a more modern version of those pictures that people used to have where they all have white t shirts, jeans and bare feet. If they’d just put some shoes on it’d be so much less cringy!

MrsHGWells · 23/12/2021 21:19

Meghan is wearing heels with jeans.. attention is purposely centred on Meh’gan

Gilmorehill · 23/12/2021 21:22

Did they repeat the thing about two children making a family? Oh my word.

AlfonsoTheUnrepentant · 23/12/2021 21:22

Yes. I guess two or three don't make a family but four do.

Gilmorehill · 23/12/2021 21:26

I think that’s extraordinarily insensitive. Fwiw I never struggled with my fertility but I know a few people who were only able to have one dc. I don’t consider their unit any less of a family unit than mine.

3peassuit · 23/12/2021 21:29

It would be a lovely photo but for the feet.

Oh please.

He is sat on his dad's knee with his arm around him.
He is hardly stood in the corner of the room, removed from his parents and being ignored.

That's a horrible thing to even suggest something like this.

minou123 · 23/12/2021 21:33

Sorry Op, I went off topic.

Yes it's a cute photi

Arrowheart · 23/12/2021 21:35

It's a really beautiful photo

EssexLioness · 23/12/2021 21:36

@minou123 it’s not meant horribly. I don’t believe that this reflects his home life at all. Just think it’s weird positioning by the photographer. 🤷‍♀️

He looks quite content to me - probably a very active toddler not wanting to sit or stand still for too long for photos . I imagine the photographer spent sometime taking lots of different photos and poses - this just happens to be the one for you to see. I doubt very much he has been sidelined for his baby sister.
PreparationPreparationPrep · 23/12/2021 22:13

@MrsHGWells

Heels ? Are we looking at the same pic? And is it her jeans or heels that mean she is drawing too much attention to herself. Could it be that she is very attractive hence you are drawn to look at her. Lili was the one that caught my eye because of her smile - obviously giggling - then Archies red hair and lovely cheeks before M&H who look fine to me.
EssexLioness · 23/12/2021 22:33

@PreparationPreparationPrep thank you for explaining that. Yes would make sense that he was maybe a bit wriggly at his age. And that would explain the pose. I think I just felt it looked a bit awkward with Both parents looking at baby, but I can see that this gives a nice focal point to the photo so possibly what the photographer was going for.
