Interesting analysis but who could be paying for this concerted effort? It’s suggested that not only is it coordinated but the people doing it are paid to do so.

Even more hilarious is that that article is swiftly followed by one where a royal expert says Prince George won't be taking on royal duties for many years to come. How is that news? He's 8!

Well of course they'll 'invite her to dinner', some Americans lap up anything royal even the Sussexes with their grievances. I'm sure there'll be podcasts and Netflix specials to follow.

Nobody will lose it, most in the UK will roll their eyes at the predictability of it all.

I don't s'pose all the 24 women senators advocating for paid parental leave would like to be thought of as 'lapping up' to a royal, I imagine they've got better things to do with their time.

Amazing how many people have the arrogance to presume they can tell Meghan what to call herself. Is it an engrained colonialist mindset that makes people believe they have ownership over a black woman.

Meghan is not married to Mr Markle, it's up to her to take her husband's name when she marries. She is married to the Duke of Sussex is therefore a Duchess or she could be Princess Harry.
She is not divorced or disowned.

You would think so wouldn't you! Still I suppose it's shone a light on the issue which as we all know they are very good at.

It's just a shame they had to invade people's privacy by obtaining private numbers through third parties. Imagine the hoo ha if someone did that to them 'hi The Duke Of Sussex, I'm trying to raise money for Grimsby leisure centre which is an important part of the community and provides essential services can you help?' I bet the PA divulging private numbers would be out the door faster than H running away to LaLa Land.

As I said on this thread or another, that is in dispute. Sen. Gillibrand provided introductions before Meghan rang according to her and they were pleased to talk to her, but what do I know... not a lot... just looking forward to my Friday night.

From what I read the first two were cold called. But the others were warned.

The Sussexes will always be scrutinised, they make themselves targets of ridicule for example when they sling allegations about the rf then say oh 'it's the Duke and Duchess here'. If they had a bit of class and called themselves Harry and M they wouldn't seem quite so ridiculous.

But they are high profile LA celebs, their actions will be scrutinised. People in the public eye, in their case who act very hypocritically, will attract scrutiny. Perhaps if they demonstrated some consistency we wouldn't all be wtf?

Really Even when they are quiet, their detractors bring up past perceived wrongs.

Very true @Roussette and @Zuluqueen. There are some posters who've never liked Meghan from day one. Even when she was a working royal she could do no right in their books 🙄

But hey, maybe if they dropped their titles it would all end as there wouldn't be anything for them to be criticised over, right? Riiight?
