It's a girl.

Congratulations to both. Look forward to finding out what they've named her!

GrandFATHER, not mother! Quite a strong chance of Sarah being a middle name, I think!

MsHedgehog · 20/09/2021 15:44

Interesting that it was announced two days after the birth. I saw reports she’s in hospital but no news that she had already given birth.

campion · 20/09/2021 15:47

September. Or Autumn if that's not too like August.

diddl · 20/09/2021 15:51

Alice or Alexandra with Elizabeth as a middle name?

Isabella?

AGreenerShadeofKale · 20/09/2021 15:55

Lilibetta made me laugh.
I'll go for Laura.

ChardonnaysPetDragon · 20/09/2021 15:57

Chardonnay Victoria would be perfect.

stairway · 20/09/2021 15:58

I’m going for Francesca.

I don't think they made any announcements about labour

Just one of the red tops reporting that Prince Andrew had interrupted his annual holiday to Balmoral to visit his daughter in hospital. And everyone guessed it was baby related, which it proved to be.

WhatATimeToBeAlive · 20/09/2021 16:05

Sophia? Or maybe too close to Sophie...

Geamhradh · 20/09/2021 16:11

@TartanJumper

Andrea would be a boy's name in Italy!

Didn't know that! Erm... Andrewaha? Drew? (for clarity I don't think this child will bear it's maternal grandmothers name)

It's also a girl's name these days. I teach 4 female Andreas and 3 males. The trend has definitely shifted in the last decade or so. I teach 14-19 year olds and my class of 18-19 year olds 3 years ago had six Andreas (all male)
SirGawain · 20/09/2021 16:12

@TroysMammy

Victoria Filippa.
Hopefully the parents or the registrar will know how spell the name!
itsgettingwierd · 20/09/2021 16:13

Awww that's lovely news.

Laughed out loud at Lilibetta.

I vote for Phillipa Sarah Elizabeth

dontyouwish2 · 20/09/2021 16:15

I have to say I love Harry's cousins..........................

All the criticism that was waged against him and his wife, they prove it all to be nonsense. Showing up all the hypocrisy of the British media.

Initially, Eugenie showed us pics of limbs of the baby, just like baby Archie.
This little one was born on Saturday, and Bea did not announce till a few days later.

Well done.

And Sante to the newborn ! 🥂

Lucretia Ponsonby

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 20/09/2021 16:19

Seeing as it was nearly midnight, I think they can be forgiven for not announcing Saturday. It was announced 36hrs after...

Palavah · 20/09/2021 16:20

@sirgawain how snide. That would be the Italian version given the father is Italian.

UnchainedMemory · 20/09/2021 16:21

@ChardonnaysPetDragon

Chardonnay Victoria would be perfect.
Why not? Most of her other grandchildren have 'common' names!

This one will probably be Tracey Sharon.

I'm kinda hoping for a name with a bit more class than Lilibet, anyway.

DobbyTheHouseElk · 20/09/2021 16:26

Felicita

alexdgr8 · 20/09/2021 16:28

Ernestina, to be known as Tina.
they seem to go for european sounding names.

And baby Archie was announced 8hrs later, and a big deal was made out of it.....

Bloody hell - does everything have to turn into a Meghan and Harry thread?!!!!

BananaPB · 20/09/2021 16:35

Apparently Florence is the favourite at William Hill

derxa · 20/09/2021 16:35

Felicia

dontyouwish2 · 20/09/2021 16:36

It hasn't thought has it.

PS : yes, people will always mention the incongruent reporting of the different members.

MN users are some of the biggest critics on whatever H&M do, so sometimes it’s necessary to bring the hypocrisy to their attention.
