Kate has written a photography book which is to be released today. First I've heard of it. She has left copies round the country with a handwritten note. What a lovely idea. Its already Number one on the bestsellar list. All money to go to charity. Well done Kate.

Still not clever roussette but not so frequent or turbulent. (Trying desperately not to over describe! The one time I should be being vague!)

Away to start nightshift and hoping not to go home to carnage. But they have it worse really. And they can sleep in my room if they need to decamp. 🤢

Oh gosh, sounds tricky Sad
Carry on being vague, get what you mean.

Love the rhyming couplets from the Duchess of Sparkle.

I got my copy the kids and I sat around looking at it for ages remembering the first lockdown with the empty shelves ds1 said they should have put pictures of hand sanitiser with hiked up prices and toilet roll 🤣 seriously though one shop by us was charging £12.99 for a tiny bottle of sanitiser they were allowed to because it was marked up by the supplier it was ridiculous

What a beautiful and poignant book. One to buy and keep.

I have been interested in this project since it was first announced, and the images and comments so far are really striking and reflective.
I am happy for MM to publish her own book. I just know that personally I prefer the photography project than a book inspired by a poem written for the writer's husband which contains the fabulous line ' Looking out at my love and our beautiful boy, and here in the window I'll have tears of great joy'

@Maireas

That man attending the virtual funeral, it's heartbreaking.
Indeed-that's what I had to do for my Dad's funeralSad

And we all (husband & two kids) dressed up for it as we would have done if we'd been attending in person.

I bought copies of 'Hold Still' for DD and me - they arrived today - it's beautiful and so moving. Hope it raises lots of dosh!

I agree it's so beautiful and moving although not had a chance to look through it all yet.
I have a personal collection on my phone of some very tear jerking pictures of my younger two Dc during lockdown 1. My youngest who is only a toddler regularly kisses (my parents) the mobile phone whilst speaking to my mum and dad and then says huggy! Whilst holding the phone at chest/ shoulder height. Nobody taught them, it's just something I noticed being done before we say goodbye.
