Lady Colin Campbell says it was Princess Anne who made the comment

There was a lot of speculation who made the comment after Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview.

She says it wasn't a racist comment. The family were concerned about Meghan in general and it has been twisted by Meghan and Harry.

I don't think Meghan and Harry are on Lady C's Christmas card list. 😲

This woman is the same type as the finding freedom co author. Makes money by talking rubbish about people they don't know. Using second hand information that is in fact just someone elses opinions of a situation

Don't give them the benefit of your time. I don't like the whole cancel culture thing but these people 🤷‍♀️

Meghan, Harry and Oprah can now walk away and just say 'watch this video QED'. I've never seen such a blatant admission of how 'they' think than that interview. Scary! I'll go back to my oilk life. Perhaps us idiots could be shot as game? I mean, clearly we are not fit to lick the soles on their wellingtons. Good God.

That was absolutely astounding to listen to.

Hang on what? Lady Colin Campbell isn’t royalty or related to royalty. She isn’t close personal friends with royalty and she hasn’t interviewed royalty.

We don’t know whether she’s got any of this right or not. So where is the QED?

She's so indiscrete, there's no way she gets any insider info!

In this case she could have been seen as useful to get the information out. Don't know but if you wanted it out there tell a gossip.

No he's a convert, they are usually zealots aren't they. So he has gone from a racist to a racist hunter.

He said something quite mild in the interview like ‘I was quite surprised’. He didn’t seem outraged. Which made me wonder if the comment wasn’t what M had suggested it was.

Oh gawd I had to listen to it all after the post about “coffee with too much milk in it” a few posts back.

LCC does say that to describe MM (as compared to the mother of Prince Albert of Monaco’s child, who she calls “African black....properly black”). She also calls MM “a lighter shade of pale”.

Then she goes on to tell us she has written about Albert’s ex partner in a book called “People of Colour and the Royals”(!!)

What a nasty cast of characters are involved in this whole affair.

This whole boil needs lancing.

I’d rather swerve both, if the “convert“ had form for saying “Don’t worry. She’s not black” about his own girlfriend, and I wouldn’t be crazy about having either in the line of succession.

This thread has been a bit of an eye opener.

It still hasn’t answered the central question, of course. Someone wake me up when we know the answer. Hmm

I just watched it. Lady C I think was accurate on the cultural clashes but I was squirming in my chair about how Prince Albert was not racist because he had a baby with a black woman, "properly black". That doesn't prove that at all!

She was also quite scathing about Harry, Meghan and Oprah. It's a bit like watching Royal Alice in wonderland on acid. I winced when she called Harry "so dumb".

I was trying to follow her accent most of the time. Doesn't prove Princess Anne really said very much though, the words were Lady C. What a bizarre person.

I don't know; it came across as they thought there might be a clash between expectations, cultures and personalities with the marriage. I really don't know actually, we'll have to leave them to their internal investigation.

Lady Colin can be quite entertaining but you have to take everything she says with a pinch of salt because she embroiders so much of the little she knows. She'd be great on the Daily Mail staff, loves to name drop in practically every other sentence she writes.

The hateful things she has said in that interview are not something which needs to be brushed off as 'that's just the way they are'.

She said there were conversations. Plural.

Harry seems to have this particular sticking on his mind, maybe because it was the first and stuck.

Meghan said there were conversations (plural) with Harry whilst she was pregnant.

Harry said there was a conversation shortly after they first met. I have read comment on other threads that it was in the lead up to the wedding. In any case, his understanding seems to be before they were married.

I think LCC is a very, very odd. Trades on some non-existent connection with the BRF.

I do also think however that she appears to have a source that’s pretty reliable. I watched the interview and it rang true.
