The royal family

Do you think Oprah didn't ask the right questions.

Noidea2114 · 09/03/2021 21:59

Lots of subjects were spoken about but I felt that Oprah could have asked for further information.

What questions do you think she should of asked.

My question is to Harry 'why didn't you get Meghan help with her MH if you are a loving husband'

The lastest from their new voice box Gayle king. Apparently the poor innocent darling never met to label the family racist at all (Yeh right. They have realised that the general public are pissed off and now they are playing victim again and back peddling)

"It's frustrating for them to see that it's a racial conversation about the Royal Family when all they wanted all along was for the royals to intervene and tell the Press to stop with the unfair, inaccurate, false stories that definitely have a racial slant."

Haz and Me-gain will burn out quick at this rate Wine

Oh that made me laugh.

So she complains someone in the RF made a racial remark, and "the Firm" did not back you up, but oh no you did not mean to blame them for anything racial. What was it then, a threat? I just don't get it.

They can't even own what they have said. If you point someone as making racial comments, or not defending you about racial comments, at least you own it and have it backed up. If there was any respect left, now have lost even more.

Me-gain should retreat and rethink the strategy. I thought they would tell Gayle King to stop the comments, but they are so desperate to rectify they just don't know what other tool to use. If Gayle King is all they have, they will need help. And this is just more meat for the horrible British press!

Coronateachingagain · 17/03/2021 18:14

Saying it would be very "damaging" for the person in the RF if it comes out is out and out blackmail in front of the world's eyes.

This. They said "Oh no, I would never disclose it, it would be very damaging for them". Yep at best it reads as a threat. Read: look the power I have on you, so you better gimme some more money, titles and privilege, or else I have the power to bring you down.

I think M thought the RF would be on the blower right away offering her apologies and hush money. Because that didn’t happen she’s pissed off and leaking to ‘friends’.

"It's frustrating for them to see that it's a racial conversation about the Royal Family"

What did they think was going to happen? They both stated someone in the RF raised concerns over the colour of their children's skin.

Meghan also said Archie was not given the title of Prince and it is a fair assumption that this is because he is mixed race. (False)

They called the RF racist so why are they frustrated to see it's a racial conversation about the RF. duh.

Winterjoy · 17/03/2021 18:47

@GoLightlyontheEarth

Where can I watch it please!
@GoLightlyontheEarth I think it's this one that's being referred to, it's very measured I think

If link doesn't work search 'the behaviour panel' on youtube

Gayle King also "suggested that Meghan was unhappy that no-one in the Royal Family had thought to telephone her". 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

If anyone, even family, told 50 million people a massive load of lies about my family, and called them racists, I would never ever speak to them again.

Mrsorganmorgan · 17/03/2021 20:34

I object strongly to being called a racist, (I live in UK) and I object strongly to my taxes being used for security, for people who do not live in the UK and have left the RF.

Scoobydoobywho · 17/03/2021 21:01

There is a couple of questions I would like to of been asked, first do you think it's possible that both you and Catherine both cried on the build up to the wedding? Second, do you take responsibility for anything you have done?

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/03/2021 21:04

"It's frustrating for them to see that it's a racial conversation about the Royal Family"

Considering they chose to make so much of the interview about race, that sounds to me like more back-pedalling ... hard not to wonder whether someone behind the scenes has called their bluff, requested evidence and discovered that it's not forthcoming

I don’t see how there can be evidence for much that was said. They weren’t married three days earlier, the law prevented Archie from being a prince, Meghan was able to travel abroad with her passport etc. What I don’t understand is why they didn’t think the interview would be pulled apart and any inconsistencies reported.

Of course, there is also the irrefutable fact that Meghan told the judge she didn’t have any emails or texts older than a month. So it’s hard to see what she could have as evidence.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 17/03/2021 21:21

I agree with all of that, *SoWhyNot8, but in yet another leak, Gayle King claimed that Meghan has proof of everything she said in the Oprah interview

Which is why it's a bit odd to see the apparent back-pedalling now

Blueberries0112 · 17/03/2021 21:22

“possible that both you and Catherine both cried”

During the interview, Meghan did say Catherine was upset....Meghan did not say she was angry or anything like that, .... just upset .. it is possible both were upset and cried

Coronateachingagain · 17/03/2021 21:23

Gayle King also "suggested that Meghan was unhappy that no-one in the Royal Family had thought to telephone her".

It sounds she is unhinged. It all sounds me me me. But why am I not surprised she may be really unhappy that nobody called her. Who was she expecting a call from, the Queen?

I can understand Meghan maybe being a bit naive on how the british press and british public might respond, but what I don't understand is why Harry, with his lifetime in the royal family and knowledge of the press, and how the UK public respond to public figures, didn't say "hang on, we really need to make sure we are on the same page and don't bullshit because the press WILL pick it apart. We will be hung out to dry if we embellish or stray from the facts".

Between the 2 of them they were either foolish enough to think nobody would notice, arrogant enough to think they should get special treatment, or were hoping once racism was alluded to they could escape scrutiny,

Diptyque · 17/03/2021 21:52

Because Harry is thick as shit and doesn’t know what goes on behind the scenes to make him look good. Or used to. In Britain.

Harry is like Hugh Laurie’s George IV, but he doesn’t have Edmund Blackadder to save the day.

This is so true. Lacking intelligence, or any self reflection or critical thinking. You can imagine he really believes he's been failed and led a hard life.
Did they compare the royal family to a cult (or implied it anyway)?

DigOutThoseLemonHandWipes · 17/03/2021 22:38

Harry could have saved Meagan a lot of stress and the rest of the world a lot of drama if he'd taken 30 seconds to explain that the monarchy is not a TV show - you don't sign up as a bit part but because you/your character are popular you get a big part in the next series/season.
I can't remember if it was the engagement interview or the South Africa interview but Meagan said her British friends tried to warn her what being in the RF would be like but she didn't listen to them, perhaps if she had she would have been better prepared to face the onslaught.

Noidea2114 · 17/03/2021 22:38

It won't be long before Gail and Oprah step back they will be able to read the public and if they are getting bad press for being
associated with H&M their careers are more important.

Coronateachingagain · 17/03/2021 22:47

Me-gain does not understand that there is no rant, not even a cry with Oprah in front of millions, nothing that will change her rank in the family and the picking order in the RF. If she was looking for more attention from this side of the pond, she will be very disappointed. She can be very effective sometimes but that doesn't make her smart, she has no clue how to play a long game, typical of a spoilt, self centred kid who can't wait to get what she wants.

Coronateachingagain · 17/03/2021 22:49

Because as PP said above, Harry is as thick as pig shit and isn't bright enough to think all that through for himself.

foxhat · 17/03/2021 23:56

Gayle King also "suggested that *Meghan was unhappy that no-one in the Royal Family had thought to telephone her"

She's slathered on TV about private family matters. I would imagine they would avoid talking to her again as she can't be trusted to keep things private. She would have to be a serious fool not to realise that. As would Harry.
