@sugarlost

I'm glad I'm not in the public eye.

Sending positive vibes around the world... peace and harmony x

sugarlost My thoughts exactly 😬

I'm sorry but if a family member had a conversation with Harry in the early days in private (and obviously H&M's was a whirlwind romance) along the lines of 'are you sure, have you thought this through, what are the implications of bringing up mixed-raced royal children' it's fair enough and outrageous of M&H to bring it up in this way.

If the conversation went like, 'we were originally going to give your children the same rights as William's kids but now that you are marrying a mixed race woman this is no longer possible it would be horrendous racism and the person who said this and none who consider should be dealt with in an appropriate manner.

I doubt Wills or Charlie are going to lose the crown. But the 'firm' would do well doing a few unconscious bias courses as seems so trendy everywhere.

I think it’s interesting if you watch Oprah. Not the pretend shock at some of the claims Meghan made, but the rest of the time. Actually watch her reactions.

Oprah is a shrewd woman, and you can see her looking at Meghan likes she’s trying to work her out, to understand what she’s doing, her objectives.

Oprah knows full well she was invited to that wedding and didn’t know them, she also knows anything what went on behind the scenes, any conversations.

She played her part, and did her job, but you could see it in her face. A sort of narrow eyed “what are you doing” look.

Harry has put every single one of his eggs in meghans basket. He’s burnt so many bridges now, and it was very very clear that he was not the orchestrator of that interview. He’s clearly hurt and damaged by what’s occured, but that interview was all about Meghan,

Can someone please give me a link to the full interview? I can't seem to find one. May need more coffee

Have a look on the ITV catch up service, should be on there.
@Pimlicojo they said they didn’t want to leave the job, just not be senior.
Another contradiction then. So they desperately wanted to remain a part of the "toxic" "racist" "bullying" organisation that allegedly offered no support and drove MM to the point of feeling suicidal?

Or did these negative realisations about 'the firm' only come to them after the "no thank you, you're in or you're out" response put a damper on their grand plans to celebrity royals.

miserablecat · 09/03/2021 08:23

Wow, that garden is to die for though !! it's stunning.

That made us laugh at the beginning when millionaires Oprah and Meghan said they were using their neighbours garden insinuating because it was nicer than their own.
It's understandable that they might not want to use their own garden for security/privacy issues, but it made us laugh at the idea their gardens were somehow inferior or unsuitable.

Pimlicojo · 09/03/2021 08:26

I agree that Oprah played this very cleverly. If the time comes when she wants to disassociate herself from this she left herself able to do so by her reactions, and what she didn't say. The inclusion of the laughing at the end was a tv master stroke. Very clever.

Perfect summary blunt. I agree.

Thomas Markle on the toxic Piers Morgan show (GMB) this morning. The drama continues...

You hit the nail on the head. She cleverly bypassed her own family, perhaps they dont have what she seeks.

Its sad for Harry. As my partner said, "I give it five years".
He won't be happy living away from "home" as he was referring to home in the interview as England. He will carry the pain of his upbringing and now of this family split. Megan now has everything she wanted, though. She has split Harry from his family and she can earn money from it, through being a famous victim.

At the end of the day, no one is that ignorant to have no idea about the monarchy. I am sure that advice was given them by William, Kate, Prince Charles, the Queen.....I am sure they had staff to carry out their wishes. But they don't seem the types to heed advice and perhaps they thought they knew better.

Sadly, some people find it easier to seek attention than seek help.

I hate the idea of anyone giving up absolutely everything for another person.
Putting all his eggs in ‘Megan’s basket’ is just about the best description I have read on this thread (thanks to Bluntness)

The last person that did this was the Queen’s uncle with Wallis Simpson. Would be interesting to know how ‘cut off’ they were financially (or otherwise).

@douliket

Brilliant post

Also on a last note, I cannot believe about the tabloid parties..how so sleazy it feels, I cannot choose to believe that William amd Harry have been happy with these parties given the nature of the relationship these people had with their poor mother.I am surprised that William did not have his brother wife back immediately with no questions even asked. I'm sure his mother, Diana would love to see her both boys standing strong together and putting a halt to these rags , these very same type of people have killed their mother and caused her so much distress in her life

^This.

The press own the RF. They agree to hold wine and dine parties for the press in the hope that they write nice things about them. Because the only perception the public has is through the awful press in this country. As Harry said... the RF lives in fear of them. Of what they will write.
Harry and Meghan went against that, and even those that dislike them should be pleased that MM won her court case against the MoS.
Yet I have a feeling a lot of people hated that she did.
She was the first one to go to court against the gutter press. And win.

Because Pics Meghan would be demonised forever for driving him to suicide.
Concern my arse.
We've obviously moved on now from the marriage breaking up (I'll give it 2 years was a familiar thing on these threads... ooops now it's 5 or 10 lol) to a tragedy involving Harry

So you don't actually know she's a narcissist but think it's ok to speculate that if she is Harry might commit suicide as a result of their separation. You see nothing wrong with this? This is the exact toxicity they want to escape.

teentipans · 09/03/2021 09:21

And the toxicity that is harming her mental health but let's just ignore that because ....

Well, yes, if you court publicity with tell all interviews then the viewing public will theorize and speculate and discuss your life and personality.

No, I don't know which is why my thoughts were prefaced with 'if she is' not 'I think she is'. It's not an uncommon observation by those who have dealt with that personality type so worth discussion I believe, since every other aspect of the interview is being dissected.

teentipans · 09/03/2021 09:30

It's not normal to speculate about suicide.

Puzzledandpissedoff · 09/03/2021 09:35

Interesting, too, that Meghan speaking alone was at pains to explain her worries about hers and Archie's security, then this once Harry was there:

"I even wrote letters to his family saying, ‘Please, it’s very clear the protection of me or Archie is not a priority. I accept that. That is fine. Please keep my husband safe"

A little odd, no?

Winterjoy · 09/03/2021 09:35

@teentipans

It's not normal to speculate about suicide.
It's a very normal potential outcome to talk about in the context of narcissism unfortunately
