@ChocolateSantaisthebestkind

He got one thing right: Beautiful house, wife, family. Now just STFU and enjoy it...
Don't forget the dogs!! Grin Shame he didn't leave the family to get married and save all this nonsense.

The RF life is not something easy, not even for the Queen herself. It's duty before person.

Who would put someone they love through that if they might not cope? William did the right thing ending his relationship with Kate to check if she knew what kind of freedom she would need to give up if she chose to marry him. If Harry knew Megan really well, he should have known she might struggle to cope and maybe he should have given her that space to decide.

suzy2b · 08/03/2021 22:41

@ChocolateSantaisthebestkind His great grandmother left him nothing

drivinmecrazy · 08/03/2021 22:41

I think much of the problem is that they're presenting everything as someone
else's fault.
If they were able to see that they have borne some of the responsibility for this shite show they might have got more sympathy.
Likewise the same should Come from 'the firm'.

Chaiandkaafee · 08/03/2021 22:41

I think so @Stovetopespresso

garden4569 · 08/03/2021 22:42

@BeforetheFlood

I think he's well out of order speaking that way about his father and brother. Fair enough to comment about his own circumstances and how he felt about them, but not on to comment on theirs when they have zero right of reply.

If he had 'compassion' with them being trapped, he wouldn't speak for them like that knowing they don't have any chance to put their own side across. It's deliberately inflammatory.

They can reply, they mouths. I am sure a journo will be keen to hear their point of view too!...... But if due to their position you truly feel they have no right of reply, then what Harry says is true, they are all trapped and silenced in that institution.
ChocolateSantaisthebestkind · 08/03/2021 22:42

I did indeed @SugarfreeBlitz the dogs are the most likeable!

chomalungma · 08/03/2021 22:42

So true.

sugarlost · 08/03/2021 22:42

My mum wouldn't be happy if I was Meghan and spoke out and left RF(she's a fan of The Queen And cares about what others think)....I'd lose my own family!!!! I'm not even joking!

I wouldn't have the guts to do what Meghan did...I'd just do my duty sadly and be unhappy.

drivinmecrazy · 08/03/2021 22:42

After all we've all got families and all the crap that comes with that

ChocolateSantaisthebestkind · 08/03/2021 22:43

The QM left him the bulk of her money because Charles and William would be set.

FuckingHateRats · 08/03/2021 22:43

@Cam77

“I cannot begin to think how disappointed The Queen and Prince Charles must feel in Harry.”

Oh, Let me guess! Less disappointed than having one son who befriended Saville and treated his wife abominably? And another son who befriended Epstein? Correct?

Why do none of the Royal supporters address/ acknowledge this?

Condemn Meghan; fine with this though.

the80sweregreat · 08/03/2021 22:44

Forces at play. It's the kind of thing his Mum used to say.

oakleaffy · 08/03/2021 22:44

Meghan:

''All of those things I was hoping for have happened''

Kerching!

SocialistSloth · 08/03/2021 22:44

Prince Charles doesn't have a leg to stand on when it comes to being disappointed in his son. Before Diana's interview in 1995, which is brought up a lot, there was his interview in 1994 where he, er what' the term that keeps being repeated? Washed his dirty linen in public.

It's not the best way to do things, I agree, however, sometimes people can feel that maybe they should just stand up, say their piece rather than continuously having lies told about them and then let it all go.

I think people forget that while Diana became "the princess of our hearts" in the aftermath of her death, in the years running up to it she was pilloried by the press. I'm guessing that Harry saw where it was going and got out before it got worse.

teentipans · 08/03/2021 22:44

MM is a beauty but she doesn't have an ounce of the star quality Diana had (nor does Kate or anyone tbh) so I doubt their Oz tour brought back memories or made anyone jealous.

Why is it so hard to believe that it might have rattled a few cages?
The RF only exist still because of public favour, hence why the press is such a love/hate relationship. The tour had a lot of good press & M & H seemed very popular. PC has never been particularly popular & the role of RF will be questioned when the Q is no longer here.

There's very little chemistry between them. She just seems likes she constantly acting to me.

littlepattilou · 08/03/2021 22:44

Night everyone. Quite underwhelming IMO.

oakleaffy · 08/03/2021 22:44

Well that was a load of pap.

What about her poor dad?

ChocolateSantaisthebestkind · 08/03/2021 22:44

a strong independent woman, wanting to be saved by a Prince?! vomit.

teentipans · 08/03/2021 22:45

What about her poor dad?

🤦🏻‍♀️

TSSDNCOP · 08/03/2021 22:45

Is the chicken rescue and life in a simple, yet extremely expensive coup a metaphor?

@Laiste

I've said it on here already today, but i'm wondering if somewhere deep down Harry subconsciously married a woman almost guaranteed to fail at quietly slotting into the royal family precisely so he could play out this attack on the press and his family in a way he couldn't do for his mother because he was too young.

He chose Megan like a ship to have his gun battle from and sail away on.

(i think i said it better earlier.)

I never thought of it like that, but that makes a lot of sense. I do understand why they would ‘want out’. I just think this interview which seems so scripted (but proudly announced by Oprah not to beConfused) , is misguided.
the80sweregreat · 08/03/2021 22:46

No, I read it as ' Meghan saved me'
Maybe she did. I'm not convinced myself but who really knows? She was the driving force behind the move etc. They got away from it all.
