One minute everyone says she’s stupid and had unrealistic expectations. The next minute she’s “savvy”. One minute she’s a bad actress. The next minute a good one. I’m just happy for them that they got out of the cesspit of dysfunctional disgusting behaviour that is the “Royal” family. We all know what they’re capable of and who their friends are. A really glamorous history.

Twitter is hugely in support for them but really it's mostly Americans who love the drama and have no idea how British culture works. But I think here this will only garner support for the Royals. I think they are conflating the racist press with RF racism. The RF is probably casually racist by dint of being out of touch yes.

Wrt not knowing what she was marrying into, I think most of us would be surprised because we'd think we were ready for it and have no idea how much more full-on it actually is and we're British so have some idea of what we think it's like.

Anyway, doesn't matter. They've left, they've to have their say and the British press gets to remain butt hurt about it forever if they feel like it which knowing the British press they probably will.

I think he's well out of order speaking that way about his father and brother. Fair enough to comment about his own circumstances and how he felt about them, but not on to comment on theirs when they have zero right of reply.

If he had 'compassion' with them being trapped, he wouldn't speak for them like that knowing they don't have any chance to put their own side across. It's deliberately inflammatory.
