@Mummy195

IMO this is an unecessary dig at Beatrice. You're speculating that she didn't follow the procedures in place to get her tiara, and was shown favouritism.

There is absolutely no way this is a dig at Bea, if you know of any last minute royal wedding, do let me know, and I will say the same thing.

I mean it sure was wrestled up pretty quickly for Bea's last minute wedding."

Your comment above certainly reads like a dig to Beatrice, and you're exceptionally quick to pull anyone up on the slightest dig to MM. Or if any posters compare MM to other female members of the RF.

While Beatrice's wedding was arranged last minute, AK was obviously given a fair bit of prior notice given she helped her select the dress then assisted with all the alterations.

The issues with MMd tiara, from what has been reported, seems to stem from a lack of communication (likely from both sides) and notice, a completely diffrent situation.

ajandjjmum · 02/08/2020 18:04

Well, I was not aware of TM having serious heat problems since he was constantly papped with MacDonalds. I know he did have a Cath right before the wedding, not heart surgery for sure. A Cath is done in about 30 minutes, you recover within a day or so.

That is very judgmental - his decision what he wants to eat! What is a Cath? I know he had stents a couple of days before the wedding, which is classed as a cardiac procedure.

Serenster · 02/08/2020 18:04

I could do this all day, Rousette (

MeghanSussex · 02/08/2020 18:05

If it's cath, as in short for catheter, well that's not what they're used for.

Mummy195 · 02/08/2020 18:06

@MeghanSussex

Thinking about it, AK was instrumental in making Bea's dress modifications, so maybe she did organise her tiara.

That would make sense, AJ, but only because HMQ asked her to and she only takes instructions from the Queen, not someone down the pecking order. It was, of course, the Queen's dress and the Queen's tiara so only she would be entrusted to make alterations to such a valuable dress.

When she wasn't nipping out to pick up a curry, that is.

down the perking order.

I'm quite sure you are the one who came up with that phrase.

ajandjjmum · 02/08/2020 18:07

Erm, maybe it would be someone who is already employed there, but has no issues with taking orders from 'down the perking order' ???

Great idea. Let's get the last office junior who came in a couple of weeks ago, and put them in charge of the crown jewels!

Trust is earned, and HM is clearly happy with the protocols that are in place, and when she isn't, she'll change them. Not likely on the advice of some randomers on MN.

it's Cardiac Catheterization
GeorgeMichaelsEspadrille · 02/08/2020 18:10

There are different types of catheter, including foe the heart. Not just urinary catheters.

MeghanSussex · 02/08/2020 18:10

Trust me, pecking is not the same as perking.

Roussette · 02/08/2020 18:11

Serenster I really don't agree. I think when the term was used it was meant to be derogatory but let's agree to differ, we're big enough to do that!

I not only own my baggage but I'm proud of surviving it.

Abusive ex husband and a child by someone who got another woman pregnant at the same time.

If people don't like or respect who I am baggage and all then thats their loss not mine.

ajandjjmum · 02/08/2020 18:13

OK, I'm ready for my first drink of the evening. Anyone joining me? Wine

Grinchlywords · 02/08/2020 18:16

Cheers AJ Wine

EthelMayFergus · 02/08/2020 18:17

Mummy195 TM had stents, as did my dad three years ago. It took dad (a similar age but not overweight) about six months to recover. I can't believe you have minimised his condition as something that he would recover from in a day.

myrtleWilson · 02/08/2020 18:18

Peace and Love Folks... (not acting as thread police, honestly, but we managed a nice atmosphere the last few days...)

In hair related news, I've only just read that MM had two different hairstylists for day and evening (not a criticism) and have also read that KM's hairstylist also did all the bridal party and some of the RF too - he must have been on about a pint of espresso to get through all of that Grin.

In an interview he (hair stylist) described how PW 'helped' with the styling for KM's evening hair - I had visions of PW doling out bobby pins or wafting the curling tongs... but no, he moved an antique heavy mirror so stylist could show KM the back of her hair...

We all have baggage. And it's fine for you to call it that in reference to yourself. But I don't think someone has a right to.

I'm pregnant so can't join in 😀 Enjoy yours though 🥂
EthelMayFergus · 02/08/2020 18:23

I'd be very surprised if Meghan is the only member of the royal family to have been describes as 'having baggage' by the staff. But she's the only one who complained about it to Omid Scobie.

Considering there are a number of Senior royals, I am sure there could be someone much higher than an office junior who has no airs about who they can help.

How many times does it have to be said, she did not complain to Scobie. This thread is just ridiculous
alliwantisagoodnightssleep · 02/08/2020 18:27

Mummy195 are you aware how ridiculous some of your posts come across?

Angela Kelly is one of the Queen’s most treasured members of her household. To compare her with an Office Manager is completely ridiculous.

FF has shown time and time again what a spoilt brat H behaves at times. If he was one of my children I would be ashamed that he thought it was acceptable to swear and bluster in anyway to another person. Both MM and H constantly tell us that they have been bullied and victimised. I think in fact H seems to be the one who is a bully.

If you're HR Director at BP, then I'm sure you'll have some influence. If not, what part of the above sentence isn't clear? HM decides, not you.

Sorry about your father @EthelMayFergus

But since TM was spotted with Macdonals a few days later, he clearly did not have as serious a condition as your father.

But I thought a lot of us on here agreed We Don't Know What Happened.
