Hope you don't mind Dave.

Interesting how this 'law student' explains the letter to the 4 tabloids. I have attached it.

I'd suggest that "law student" spend more time hitting the books and less time posting on social media.

Winterlife · 30/04/2020 00:41

PS - You should have referenced your source for this "legal analysis".

Winterlife · 30/04/2020 05:21

Tabloids are not denying they are lies, just do not want them in and say irrelevant.

I'm not exactly certain of what you're trying to say, but if it's about the recent motion, there is nothing to suggest what the MoS printed was untrue.

I'm sure that judge had to pour himself a drink after that trial. Lots of digs from dodgy reporters after that, as this case could potentially open the floodgates to a lot of lawsuits if they were to win.
Hope they get a fair trial. Isn't it a bit strange for newsgroup to be report on someone who is currently suing them, even reporting about an ongoing active trial at times.

Are you referring to H&M? It's unclear.

newbiefrugalgal · 30/04/2020 05:29

I'd be happy to see another bubba for them 😊😊🤔

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 30/04/2020 06:05

Thry have now withdrawn fom royal duties. It needs to be made clear that this kind of publicity is not acceptable.

That's ridiculous. And very funny.😂😂😂

WinnieTheW0rm · 30/04/2020 06:33

Well, it's Princess Charlotte's birthday on Saturday.

So a good opportunity to show they are not bitchplopping on all Cambridge family occasions.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 30/04/2020 06:40

'bitchplopping'- the act of spoiling threads when other people are enjoying themselves by leaving negative comments.

I know. It's so annoying when people do that.

WinnieTheW0rm · 30/04/2020 06:59

Exactly, totes agree SetPhasers which is why I am so sad they they have been doing it!

And it's why I really have my fingers firmly crossed that they do not reinforce critical narrative by doing it again.

Because I really want them to be happy, and I think they need to bring an end to the series of unlucky decisions asap. When the sector of the British public who literally lined the streets to welcome them so warmly, are beginning to think 'here's another Cambridge event, How well they steal the limelight? then something is wrong. And it's something that will vanish rapidly once they show there isn't a pattern, and they have a good opportunity to show it this weekend. And that will be a happy thing.

(PS: I've been contributing to these all parts of these threads, because I wish them every happiness. If your comment was a passive aggressive attack on me, it is misplaced. I hope to demonstrate that by my future posts, as well as by referencing the intentions of the past)

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 30/04/2020 07:17

?????

Nothing passive aggressive about it. A very direct comment I think. For the avoidance of doubt I am annoyed. I hide a lot of negative threads and would love to have one small corner of MN to have a positive chat Harry and Meghan. Clearly that's not possible but it doesn't stop me being fed up.

And if you are not here to criticise and disrupt then why would you think it was a dig?

As I said upthread this is ridiculous. All of it.

Cerseirys · 30/04/2020 07:18

But a 9th wedding anniversary is hardly an "event". It's not like it was their actual wedding day! I don't recall anything from them last week when it was Prince Louis' birthday.

SetPhasersTaeMalkie · 30/04/2020 07:22

It's not an event and nobody cares about a 9th wedding anniversary. However it is another excuse to criticise.

Mamamia456 · 30/04/2020 07:59

SetPhasers - Exactly. The Royal Family twitter account uploaded a video yesterday of Camilla talking to Darcy Bussell and Angela Rippon. Nobody has accused Camilla of trying to steal the limelight.

ToastedHaMSandwich · 30/04/2020 08:20

After Louis birthday photos H&M announced they would be posting posting photos of Archie on his birthday. What was the need for that? Their PR and timing is dreadful.

The links to the work they did prior to 31 March should have been posted immediately. ‘H&M pack in as much charity work to help others as they can before they step down ‘ type of thing.

That would have been positive. MM did 3 or 4 different trips some days. Again positive. But the posts were kept and have been drip fed out to keep them in the media. Otherwise they would have been forgotten people living a quiet life.

Cerseirys · 30/04/2020 08:33

Where did they announce that?

Roussette · 30/04/2020 08:34

^ This. Ditto.

I have skimmed here because it has turned into a negative thread surprise surprise
Please don't tell me they're being criticised for saying something on W&K 9th wedding anniversary. That is hilarious! I am sure there are unsignificant dates on something to do with the RF on every day of the year if we wanted to find them!

Samcro · 30/04/2020 08:37

@Roussette good to see you
yes its a shame that this thread has turned into another critical one.
I really don't get the not allowed to say something on such and such a date. no one in rl will care that its a royals wedding anniversary or a royal childs birthday.

Cerseirys · 30/04/2020 08:43

I really do think people look for the negative on everything they do. Even last year every time they commented on a Kensington IG post to wish the Cambridge children for their birthdays they were attacked in the comments for saying "happy birthday George/Charlotte/Louis" rather than using their titles!

Roussette · 30/04/2020 08:48

Hi Samcro

Yes I agree, desperation to say about a 9th wedding anniversary, made me laugh though Grin

Mamamia456 · 30/04/2020 08:53

Toasted - I thought they were still carrying on with their charity work, they just won't be carrying out royal duties.

CanIHaveAPenguinPlease · 30/04/2020 08:57

Mummy I’ve reread your post about the judge. Are you saying the judge is not going to be impartial? And why are you saying he needed a drink after the strike out hearing?

Strike out hearings (I’ve acted in a few) imo are actually interesting, mentally tiring but interesting. It’s part of our job. Ex solicitor, not a judge- I wouldn’t want that responsibility. But I wouldn’t have needed drink after any court hearing.

Myimaginarycathasfleas · 30/04/2020 09:30

A small tip, the best way to change this from a "negative" thread to a "positive" one is for someone, anyone, to post positive comments and news. No one seems to be doing that.

Cerseirys · 30/04/2020 09:36

Funny, that's what I thought @Mummy195 did yesterday but thanks for the condescension anyway Hmm

been there done that. but rather than join in the loads of other threads, people have dragged this one down.
A small tip, don't turn a positive thread into yet another negative one.

Samcro · 30/04/2020 09:47

(((waves at people from other thread)))

Don't make me laugh.
